Comfort Inn Downtown DC/Convention Center

Ggreat location, comfy room, very helpful and nice receptionists and cheap and easy parking service. 100% worth it’s price!

This was a great stay. The staff were very nice and polite. The room was perfect. The free breakfast was so choice. Great hotel if you’re looking to visit DC. Most of the sites are nearby and there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended.

I haven’t stay yet, but there call center was not so smart. In order for you to make reservation online, you have to become a member, so I called and made reservation, then, they made error on name. So I called again to correct it, after 4 people and more than 30 minutes on hold, the last parson hung up on me. This cannot be happening for customer service. They are trying to be nice, but it is too much and too much become annoying. If I had choice, I wouldn’t stay there.

Nice location and the price, comparatively, is pretty good. Room nice and clean, though the door locks… I can see light from the hallway by the deadbolt where it was refitted. Extremely disappointed with the workout facilities,. Pieces missing from equipment, none of the treadmills work. It looks like nobody has tended to or been down here from the staff in a long time.

Clean small rooms and the Windows are like paper. If you’re looking to actually sleep coming here is a bad idea.

This hotel is very nice given its price point. If you’re looking for luxury, you probably shouldn’t be looking at Comfort Inn in the first place. If you’re looking for an affordable, comfortable place to stay in DC, look no further. The hotel itself could stand some modernization and work on cobwebs. The room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast– did I mention it is included?- is outstanding! There are lots of nearby restaurants and a metro stop not too far away. I’m almost hesitant to review because I want to save this secret for myself.

The rooms on the Internet were very deceiving. They looked big and spacious in the photos but when we got to the hotel it was tiny! They advertise two queen beds and it’s more like two full size beds. My step son and husband’s feet hung off the bed. oh and the bathroom… the toilet was behind the door and you could barely move! Lol the positive about it was the free breakfast and the friendly staff and the fact that it was clean. Next time we will be opting for spending the extra buck for the Marriott across.

Super friendly staff, plentiful continental breakfast, nice room, convenient location less than a mile to the white house and national mall. Was able to purchase cheap double decker hop on hop off bus tickets. Kid friendly and yet still quiet. Will stay again if ever in the DC. Free WiFi too.

This was an absolute amazing hotel given the price. I booked this with some investigative work using Priceline’s super-​ambiguous last minute deals feature (which tells you just enough info to know what hotel you’re booking). Bottom line: if you are looking for a reasonable option, close to downtown, with great service — this is your hotel.
For example: I woke up late for an early morning conference panel and was rushing out the door. The hotel guy says: «hey you need breakfast!!!» I replied that I had no time and had to run. Without hesitating, he picks stuff from the hotel convenience store and gives it to me for free! Awesome service, super thoughtful, and something I’ll remember.
No matter what time of day, my room was always cleaned (though I never saw the cleaners) and my stuff was always picked up. The facilities were modern and not dingy — this isn’t a Hilton, but with their cleanliness and customer service, it is on par (if their rooms were a little more fancy, at least).
If you are on a budget: this is a perfect choice.

The rooms here were decent, nothing to go home and rave about, however what does make things shine are the little things that the staff go the extra mile to do.
1) my orange juice tasted very watered down, and before I even asked anyone (which I wasn’t going to…) They lady that managed the kitchen came and asked me if I would like a new orange juice because mine looked watered down. … She’s not even a waitress!!!
2) I don’t like to have the top sheets on the bed, so I pull them off every night. Small pet peeve of mine. This, however, was the first time that the cleaning staff took the time to notice, fold the top sheet up, and not put it back on my bed! I really think those sheets are gross, so this small gesture was quite thoughtful to me… They pay attention to the client, not just perform according to protocol.
3) lastly, rachana (at least I hope that’s her name) was amazing for helping me figure out how to get to union station, pointing out the easiest way, showing me how to read the MARC train time table, AND help me figure out the smallest detail like the price of the ticket! =)
Okay, inexpensive room and moderate quality, I can’t complain… But give me a place with such amazing service, NOW you have a repeat customer!

Wonderful friendly staff. Especially Dantise who would welcome us each evening as we returned from a conference we were attending. Rooms were nice, clean, & comfortable.

I was Very pleased with my stay at this location for a conference I was attending at the Convention Center. With the exception of having to walk back and forth in the rain on the 1^st day, It is located close enough and reasonably priced. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and aimed to please. There were also items in their breakfast offerings I could eat: (Can’t do gluten) fruit, hard boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice, water & fresh coffee. There were normal breakfast offerings as well for those who can happily eat yogurt, bagels cereal — enough was offered to start your day off right! The valet parking was a plus and staff was helpful in pointing me in the right direction to bid my farewell to the city. Worth checking into.

This hotel is a total mish-​mash. I think it is primarily used for business travelers who are visiting the convention center. It is 3 blocks down and 3 blocks over from the main convention center entrance.
But it is in a residential neighborhood and there really is nothing to eat or places to go for blocks. Plan to use the metro or taxi it because there really isn’t anything in walking distance.
The hotel itself is small, but they use the space they have very well.
This hotel is NOT remotely handicap friendly. If you are with someone who cannot climb stairs, DO NOT stay there. To get into the hotel you must go up 10 steps, a landing and then more steps.
The worst part of this hotel is the elevators. Apparently, they have been recently replaced, but they still do not work. I came to the lobby to wait for dinner delivery, because I waited 20 minutes for the elevator,
I sat in the lobby and waited another 20 minutes after my food arrived, with «the system is rebooting» as the response.
So I had to go up 7 flights of stairs with my dinner. While I was waiting, there will still people being checked in, and people were still being put on upper floors, WITH THEIR ELEVATOR OUT.
The morning of check out, I had to haul my luggage down 7 flights of stairs because even over night, they could still not get the elevators to work.
I was not given the option to move to a lower floor.
There was another guest waiting in the lobby with me who was on the 5^th floor and he was on CRUTCHES!
They made him go up and down the stairs, 5 freaking floors, on crutches because they couldn’t get their shit together with the elevator.
The next event at the convention center, I will stay somewhere else that won’t make me haul my luggage 7 floors!

If you’re looking for a clean, cheap hotel with easy access to DC sites, this is a great hotel. It’s about 1 mile walking distance the the National Mall, where all the museums and such are located. Or if you’re lazy or too tired by day three and don’t feel like walking, hop the Metro three blocks away. Don’t forget to get your SmarTrip card if you’re in town for a few days!
The room was a bit small, but clean. My only complaint is that the bathroom needed a fan because it gets steamy in there after a hot shower. The breakfast was decent– not great, not horrible. Instant eggs, sausages or bacon, yogurt, bagels, waffles and coffee and juice.
They have free popcorn in the lobby at 1pm every day, and free cookies at 4pm. They’re Otis Spunkmeyer, the yummy kind. They always have coffee, tea, and fruit infused water or lemonade in the lobby as well. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They guided us to the Metro, parking, and restaurants, and room service was lightning quick. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and comfortable. Major flaw was the staff. The last thing I want after a 3am start to my day and a long flight is the front desk to joke about not having my reservation and being all booked. She said «I checked everyone in today so you must not have a reservation. We’re all booked. Oh. Here it is.» Seriously. Who jokes about that with a new guest? Can’t get over that experience.

Not too shabby! I travel quite a bit, both for work & play. I’ve stayed in places as lovely as the Langham in Picadilly Circus London to places akin to places you leave your dog while on holiday. This place is seriously a great value for the money. Nice, helpful staff. Walking distance to great food & attractions like the White House. The facility itself is clean & gets the job done. It’s a BUSINESS STAY type place. It’s not supposed to be some resort! I don’t know about others complaining about slow elevators etc… it’s an old bldg. Get over it. Simply put, it’s a good value spot if you need to crash in DC for a few nights: cable, wifi in room free, gym, and a mini mart & free brekky. C’mon. Basics are covered.

Loved this place! Excellent price for the location, and breakfast was fantastic every morning. If you get hungry though they have a very affordable snack bar. Dantise is friendlier than advertised. We’ll be staying here every time we come.

I stayed five nights at the Comfort Inn on 13^th street at the beginning of July 2013. My flight arrived early, so my room was not yet ready to check into, but the lady behind the counter was very helpful and attentive, she stored my luggage for me and directed me to women’s restroom so I could freshen up.
Although the hotel itself is in an older building, the inside has recently been remodeled. I had a room with a king size bed. The room itself was moderate in size, plenty of space for 1 – 2 people. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room also had a refrigerator as well as a dock for iPods/​iPhones. The air conditioner kept the room cool during the hot, muggy summer days. The bathroom had good water pressure, although it took a few minutes for the water to heat up.
In the morning they offer a full complimentary breakfast including waffles, eggs, bacon or sausage, cereal, yogurt, breads and bagels, juices, coffee, and more. The gentleman that was staffed in the breakfast area, Cavour, was very attentive. He even walked me outside to direct me to the metro line I needed to take.
This is by no means an upscale hotel, but I was very pleased with the service and the comfort of my stay. If I am ever in the DC area again, I would choose to stay here again.
