CIBT Visa and Passport Service

I would give them 10 stars if I could! Last Thursday night I started to pack for my Carribean trip only to discover my passport was nowhere to be found, we were leaving in 10 days. I was in a complete panic. I hooked up with CBIT the next morning through an internet search. The intake on the toll-​free line was prompt and helpful. The instructions they email to you on what to do are completely clear. When I went to the passport acceptance facility they praised me for how perfect my paperwork was. That is completely due to CIBT’s clear instructions.
I dropped off the sealed envelope at their office on Friday at 3 and my passport was issued on Monday!!! I could have overnighted it to them and they would have overnighted my passport to me, but I was too nervous and just wanted my passport in hand!
The whole process was seamless and CIBT’s fee was by far the best value advertised. For less than the State Department expediting fee (which you still have to pay on your own), CIBT got me my passport in less than 2 business days. I am so grateful that this service exists and would recommend them to anyone that finds themselves in the same bind!

The worst. I don’t even want to recount the experience. Seriously, use Travisa or someone else. These guys are not looking out for you.

A horrible experience trying to get a tourist visa to India.
CIBT was not willing or able to offer any assistance beyond what is posted on their website.
Their stock answer is that the Indian visa process is in transition and they have no control over the consulate or the process. They just keep sliding the «Requested back by» date and take no responsibility. No visa, Can not get my passport back because it is somewhere at the Indian Consulate and I’ll get it back when I get it back. What a disappointment.

I just received two visas for China through CIBT’s Washington office. Their online tool is great and we eventually received our visas as promised. The key word is «eventually.» I noted on my CIBT form that I wouldn’t be traveling to China until after several weeks. As a result, even though the Chinese embassy processed our visas quickly, CIBT sat on them for more than a week. I had to call them three times to inquire about the status. Only after I asked for the email addresses of their bosses did they finally see fit to mail me back the passports. Also, beware that they’ll tack on a $ 25 «passport replacement service» fee for each passport — essentially, unrequested insurance — unless you explicitly tell them otherwise. When I called to complain about this, they were professional and helpful in removing the charge, but it nonetheless seemed like a dubious add-​on to the hefty $ 206 they charged for their regular, non-​rush service, which doesn’t include the $ 37.80 return postage or the charge from the embassy itself. Overall, if you know someone in Washington, it would cost you less in money and aggravation to ask them to handle this for you instead (even if you treat them to a nice «thank you» dinner).

On my upcoming vacation, I am traveling to Kenya and require a visa. I have no prior experience with obtaining a Visa and was worried about the whole process and the level of difficulty. However, smarTours, the tour company I am traveling with, recommended that I use CIBT to obtain the Visa. I am so glad I used CIBT. I went to their website and the visa application requirements and guidelines were concisely and clearly written. Basically, all my questions were answered in the instructions. All the fees, including CIBT’s service fees, consular fees, and shipping costs, were stated. There were no hidden fees or unpleasant surprises. There was about a 5-​page form to complete online and I had a few questions about the application. I called CIBT 2 times while filling out the form. I was happy that my phone call was promptly answered and I didn’t have to go through a whole directory of questions to speak with a real person. Both CIBT representatives were friendly and extremely helpful. Even with the 2 phone calls, it took less than 15 minutes to complete the application. In less than 2 weeks, I received my passport with the Kenyan Visa. CIBT took care of my Visa request making it an easy, efficient, and worry-​free experience. I will use CIBT the next time I need a travel Visa.

Best experience securing a visa, ever! Travisa SUCKS!
I had to process and expedite a visa for one of my 8 bosses, who is travelling to [insert Western Asian country here], and needed the visa in less than five days, which I thought was impossible. CIBT made it happen in three. Their online process and customer service is stellar. Without requesting, a CIBT rep called and politely updated me on the process each day. This morning when I went to pick up the visa, I mistakenly arrived at 8am, though they open at 8:30. Oops. Fortunately, a CIBT employee just happened to arrive when I did, they let me in, gave me the visa, and I was out the door before they officially opened.
CIBT is efficient, courteous, and I’ll definitely use them for any business or personal visas in the future.
