The good: Dr. Baptiste is a nice lady that seemed to care for her work. She tried very hard to be professional. The office is very comfortable.
The Bad: Very very poor customer service at the front desk. They have a hygienist taking phone calls which gives you the worst attitude ever. She hangs phone in your face and gets altered very easily. People like that should remain on the back doing cleanings and not answering phones or scheduling patients. I had my fillings adjusted over 3 times and still is not right. I cannot eat cold or hard food. Thanks! Dr. Baptiste is never on time, so be ready to wait on your chair for a 45 minutes before being seeing. And if she starts working on you she will rush due to others patient waiting. I decided not to come back and rather get another dentist that truly appreciates business and can fix my fillings. Also– if you get a procedure denied by your insurance you better appeal on your behalf. The office will do that as a courtesy or on a patient by patient basis. I wanted to get my root canal fixed and the insurance denied it because Dr. Baptiste did not submitted appropriate evidence to support the work. They wanted me to pay it off pocket rather than help me appeal. I decided not to come back and rather get another dentist that truly appreciates business and can fix my fillings.

Fantastic!!! Not sure what the other negative reviewers were talking about. Dr. Baptiste was extremely warm and professional. She and her staff made me feel at ease. They explained every step of the procedure I was about to undergo and answered and addressed all my questions and concerns. Will definitely go back again.

I was able to get an appointment very quickly. Parking is on a metered street. The elevator is broken so you have to enter through the back of the building. On my first visit, I was given another dentist because «Dr.Baptiste doesn’t do fillings». Like the previous reviews read I too experienced the old black lady, who happens to resemble my mother, she was LOUD. She yelled everything she said in an extremely inappropriate tone. Midst the yelling, she caught herself and assured me that I was in good hands with the new dentist. I have admit that the new dentist was skillful and pleasant. However, The receptionist was off too. It was like that black on black women attitude. SMH. I kept wondering if I knew her from before and did something to upset her that I couldn’t remember. I’ve never met doctor Baptiste and I’ve been to the office twice. The new dentist (young Ethiopian) and the tall Hispanic angel lol are my reason for returning to get the filling adjusted. They made the dental experience bearable and pleasant.

I went to this dentist for several years. When I first went to them, they found I had about 15 cavities. (I was 50 years old and previously had only 1 small cavity in my life, when I was pregnant.) Anyway, I had a very small chip on each of my 2 front teeth, so what asked I could do. They suggested that I have them bonded, so I did. The bonding came off shortly, so they re-​did them. The problem was, everytime they bonded them, they scratched the enamel on my teeth; something that they didn’t warn me about. When I stopped going to them because of an incredibly rude receptionist and not telling my son (who was also a patient there), about a gum graft that he needed to avoid losing a tooth until it was almost too late, my current dentist saw my teeth and said that they should have never scratched to enamel and to contact them. I went back to Dr. Baptiste and told her this but she insisted that the enamel must be scratched in for the bonding to stay intact. Without warning me, she scratched my teeth yet again (!) and then bonded them. I must say, unlike the previous doctor that did them in her office, she did a beautiful job bonding them. The problem was, a few months later, I bit down on a (tender) steak and my tooth chipped quite severely in several places. I realized that all of the scratching away of the enamel had left my teeth weak and vulnerable, something that I wasn’t warned of. I called notify her of this, but she never returned my call. My current doctor said that I now need caps (I don’t want my teeth filed down), or veneers (which I can’t afford). Dr. Baptiste is an extremely pleasant woman but does not stand up to her rude employees or give sufficient warning about how some procedures can permanently destroy your teeth.

I was about to chicken out of my Denitst appointment with Dr. Baptiste today, but i am so glad I went. She is a very warm, caring, nonjudgemental person. They told me what is covered by DC Alliance. Dr. Baptiste and her assistant were extremely gentle, and gave me tissues when i cried because i have a deep fear of dentists.
