Terrible management company compared to others I’ve had in DC. Borger’s staff is stretched way too thin across all of their properties. They would not address noise issues, building maintenance, and pest problems until multiple tenants complained for several months straight. EX1: One of my neighbors hosted 11:00pm rock band practices every Wednesday, complete with electric guitar/bass and amplifiers. After SIX months of begging the other tenant to stop, Borger gave up. Instead of going to the trouble of evicting the offending tenant, Borger offered to let myself and the other neighbors out of our leases with no penalty. They told me personally that it was easier for them to find four new tenants than to evict one. EX2: Borger waited over two months to investigate the building’s rat infestation, which turned out to be a softball size hole in the building’s foundation. Not what I would expect from a management company charging $ 6.40/square foot in monthly rent. EX3: Borger grossly overstated the square footage of the apartment I rented with them. The advertised square footage on Craigslist and in emails with management was 30% bigger than the unit I was leased. This is not an exaggeration. If you’re considering a Borger rental, bring a tape measure to your viewing and ask to measure the actual unit where you will be placed. TLDR: Short of ethics.

Unprofessional. No customer service because nobody even responds to customers. Stay away from this company!

THEWORST management company in the city! If you have any issues, don’t hold your breath. The lack of professionalism from this company is unacceptable, which trickles from the top down.
