Bloomfield & Company

I was recently extremely unhappy in my job and decided to begin the time-​consuming process of finding another job. One of my customers recommended Andrea Asbell with Bloomfield and Company, so I reached out to Andrea as well as a few other recruiting agencies. I was thoroughly impressed by Andrea’s friendly, professional manner and positive attitude. She made me feel like I was desirable to companies, and she genuinely listened to what I was looking for. She schedule multiple phone and in-​person interviews for me and ensured that I was completely prepared for each. She even offered advice on my resume!
Within a month of contacting Andrea, I secured a position with a company making significantly more than I was in my previous position. Andrea even reached out to me to see how my new job was going and if I was happy.
While working with Andrea, I also had the opportunity to meet Angela, another recruiter, and Denise, the president of Bloomfield and Company. Both of them were delightful as well and made me feel welcome and comfortable during one of the most stressful times of my life as I left my previous company. I simply cannot say enough positive things about this Bloomfield!

I have worked with Bloomfield & Company on two separate occasions (both of which resulted in great placements) and have been very impressed with their level of commitment to helping me find a great position! The staff is very attentive, caring and genuinely interested in helping you find a great position. They really get to know you as a person and ask you about your goals. I was lucky enough to work with Angela who is so enthusiastic about her job and such a great person. She always kept me informed of new opportunities and did a great job of following up. One of the best things about Bloomfield is that you are working with the whole team, not just one person. Everyone has you on their radar and if there is another recruiter with an opportunity that matches your background, they have no problem reaching out to you. I would also like to point out that Denise knows how to do her job VERY WELL, which is why her clients trust her judgment and opinions. I had a fantastic experience with the entire Bloomfield team and even though I hope not to have to work with them again because that would mean I was unemployed, they would always be my first choice!

The person I have been dealing with — well not really since she never contacts me — has NEVER referred me to jobs that are the level of where I am! My one friend forwards me messages from other recruiters in the firm looking for stellar EA’s, 10 years experience, etc., etc. When I inquire of my person as to why she has not thought of me, SHE NEVER REPLIES!!! I know these companies get way too many candidates to try to remember who is who, but when it comes to a person with 30 years high level EA experience, I am sure there are not a ton in the database. I really could care less if I ever hear from them!

Over the last five years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with the staff at Bloomfield & Co a few different times. As a (former!) job seeker, I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Bloomfield & Company. Jesse, the recruiter who handled my search, was attentive, engaged and visibly dedicated to helping me find the perfect job based on my personal desires and experiences; at no point did I feel as if I was merely a «commission» to the company, as has been the case with other agencies. Jesse asked in-​depth questions in order to better understand my interests and long-​term career goals and, in short order, presented me with a list of very appealing opportunities. He remained engaged throughout the interview process, offering guidance and maintaining regular contact. Within three weeks of his initial outreach, I had an offer letter in hand; at time of writing, I am entering into Month #3 of the best job of my career.
Suffice to say, I genuninely enjoyed working with Bloomfield and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the company to another job seeker.

An associate at Bloomfield contacted me via email to let me know how «unfair» my review was. I understand the company does not want bad press; however, I would be lying if I said my experience was a good one because it certainly was not.
The following day the owner of the company left me a message to discuss my experience. The message was professional and there was a sincere level of concern.
Thus, I am giving Bloomfield **two stars** since the owner reached out to me in an effort to gain a better understanding of what had occured. Although I do not feel that the email I received the day prior was appropriate, the call I got from the owner made up for that. Regardless of what the intentions might have been, it was the right thing to do and I respect that.
