Adams Morgan Suites

We stayed in Apt 5, as a couple, with occasional 3^rd or 4^th person staying with us on the couch. This is not a big apartment. But it is great to have a separate bedroom, with a lovely first floor balcony leading off it. The balcony looks out onto gardens behind, and is very peaceful, which was quite a surprise in busy Adams Morgan. All the rooms have natural light, because there is a gap in the middle of the building. All the rooms meaning the living room/​kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom.
The apartment is decorated as a home from home. And Steve the landlord does a great job making sure everything that you will need is available, cunningly stored away in cupboards. That includes a washing machine and dryer, iron and board etc. And with big grocery shops around the corner, as well as all the funky bars and restaurants of Adams Morgan, you really can just turn up with clothes and a toothbrush.
The place is very clean and has a good security system (a code for the shared front door, and keys for the apartment).
We stayed here for 2 months. It was such a great way to get to know DC. A real haven to come home to after exploring DC. Quiet neighbours. And Steve is incredibly helpful if you do have any issues. He’ll provide advice, if you ask, and will fix even the smallest thing in the apartment pronto!
We have been busy recommending Adams Morgan Suites to anyone we know who is coming to DC. You can certainly find a cheaper alternative if you are going to rent long term and bring in your own furnishings. But for shorter term, AM Suites is very comfortable, with everything supplied, in a great part of the city, and with a helpful and friendly landlord.
Final thing: Steve provides a bit of paperwork outlining everything you need to know about staying at AMS, and some ground rules. I reviewed the rental contract carefully, but I’m sure I didnt need to. It’s clear that Steve sees this as a long term business, values its good reputation, and is very straight with the money. We never had any issues, and we got our deposit back with no fuss. I know that some people rent an apartment at AMS via the internet, without seeing the apartment or meeting Steve. This is a real family business, and I would absolutely trust Steve with the rental agreement and the finances.
Overall, highly recommended!

My experience with Adams Morgan Suites was great! I was a student intern in town for just the summer. I stayed for about 10 weeks. Everything was clean and the building was secure. The owner was wiling to set up everything online for me and I signed a lease site unseen, but couldn’t have been happier. The apartment was very well furnished and very nicely decorated. I had enough room for friends to stay over on the pull out couch and a cute little balcony to sit on in the back. He was so helpful with things that needed to be updated or taken care of during my stay. Any issues were quickly addressed and he was always very helpful.
The apartment was stocked well but also had plenty of dishes in the kitchen to cook for my entire stay. Linens were provided and the washer and dryer were very convenient to use as they were right in the apartment.
The neighborhood is full of families and other young people and is very close to some of the best nightlife areas in DC. I loved living so close to the zoo and was within walking/​running distance from the park for my daily runs. Two grocery stores, dry cleaners, and tons of restaurants were within just a few blocks.

My experience at Adams Morgan Suites was absolutely wonderful. I am a student and I was moving to D.C. to study for the semester. I stayed at the apartments for a total of three and a half months and my stay couldn’t have been easier. Both the apartment and building were very clean throughout my stay and I felt that the building was secure. The move-​in process was hassle-​free and the owner of the apartments was extremely helpful during my move, helping me carry my bags into the building and offering up valuable information about the neighborhood. He also offered to help me move out of the apartment of well. Steve was also around if I ever needed anything: one time I lost my keys and right away he was able to provide me with a spare and was happy to help.
The apartment itself was very homey and had plenty of storage space for my needs. One of my favorite things about the apartment itself was the washer and dryer located inside of the unit.
The apartment is centrally located in Adams Morgan and is walking distance from countless restaurants, shops, and bars. The area also has a very lively neighborhood feel. There is a very large grocery store, Harris Teeter, only two blocks away.
Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about my experience at Adams Morgan Suites and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short stay in the Washington, D.C. area.

You’re a fool if you turn down an open unit at Adams Morgan Suites! I spent three fantastic months in Washington for an internship and could not have made a better decision than signing a lease at Adams Morgan Suites. From my first email inquiry, Steve was quick to respond in a professional and accommodating manner, which has been the case with all our interactions. I was on a tight deadline to secure housing before moving to the city from out of state and Steve went out of his way to answer all of my questions about the apartment and neighborhood, and made me feel confident enough to sign a lease without even stepping foot in the building.
I can offer no criticisms about the property, property management, or surrounding area. The building is attractive and clean, and sits on a great block within walking distance to anything and everything you need — metrorail, brand new Harris Teeter, great restaurants/​bars, banks/​atm, gym, dry cleaners, Starbucks — you name it, you can find it near Adams Morgan Suites. While it’s important to be cautious anywhere in DC, I always felt safe in this area and never had any issues with noise, solicitors, etc. If I ever needed anything or had any questions, Steve was a reliable and knowledgeable resource, and he never steered me wrong.
Bottom line: if you have a chance to sign a lease with Adams Morgan Suites, do so immediately before someone else steals the opportunity to live in this fabulous building!!!

Prior to moving to the area, I’d take short trips to DC from NYC and would never dream of staying anywhere else.
What really stands out in my mind about the suite I stayed in was the amount of space I had and the lovely artwork! The kitchen is perfect for preparing a big dinner and I could easily entertain several guests comfortably. The bedroom has a nice balcony and the neighborhood is quiet enough to read a book and relax some evenings.
The neighborhood is also excellent for restaurants, bars, and shopping. There is even a farmer’s market just a block away on the weekends.
Steve was friendly, flexible, and always helpful if there was anything I needed — from public trans information to recommending a good French bistro. It must be noted that there were few things I did need, as everything was available to me in the suite, and I was able to fit right in as if it were my own home.

I found 1715 Euclid one night doing a web search before heading out to DC for an internship. I had searched and searched and found a lot of overpriced places in non-​ideal neighborhoods or out in the suburbs. 1715 Euclid’s website intrigued me so I sent a message to obtain more details. Steve, the owner, was nothing but professional from day one. From signing the lease over the internet to getting the keys and settling in to attending to any need I had to moving out Steve runs a topnotch operation. He even went and picked up my car down the street from an auto shop one day so my girlfriend and I could enjoy our visit downtown!
The unit I stayed in (#5, top floor rear) had all the amenities you need. Satellite TV, wireless high-​speed internet, dishwasher, microwave, beautifully appointed kitchen, back porch, and even a washer/​dryer in unit!
The neighborhood was great as well. You can walk 2 minutes to some of the most fun, lively, diverse set of bars/​restaurants in DC. Adams Morgan is such a great neighborhood with so much to do. Plus I could ride my bike 15 minutes to the White House and National Mall or ride through Rock Creek Park (which I highly recommend for riding or jogging!). But even though you are close to EVERYTHING, the block itself is leafy and quiet. Especially in the back unit you hear no street noise.
One negative is street parking. Parking was usually pretty easy, but at certain times it could be tough! I almost never had an issue. The parking is no worse than any other big city. So if you can live without a vehicle (I couldn’t as my internship was in MD) you could as Adams Morgan is well connected with both the amazingly efficient DC Metro system or the buses.
I fell in love with the DC Metro area and I have to believe that 1715 Euclid was a big part of that. I would move back to DC in a heartbeat and if I could pick one neighborhood it would be Adams Morgan.
