Specialties
Aaron Gallery is a contemporary art space committed to bringing the public the finest Abstract Expressionist painting and sculpture. It proudly represents many local and international artists who range from emerging to mid career. In conjunction with its traditional gallery space, the Aaron Gallery has also happily progressed into a cutting edge «by appointment only» art consulting business.
It is Aaron Gallery’s goal to have our collectors depart from their intimate experience satisfied with the unique, colorful contemporary art that they have collected, excited to continue to involve themselves in the world of abstract expressionism, and educated in how quality art will enhance their life and personal environment.
History
Established in 1986.
Aaron Gallery was founded in 1974 by Consuelo Aaron in Washington D.C. and continues to be a prominent fixture of the D.C. art scene. Consuelo’s vivacious personality and passion for the fine arts has earned the gallery much success and drew in many visitors.
In 1986, Aaron Gallery relocated to the then center of the D.C. art community in Dupont Circle where Consuelo’s daughter, Annette Aaron joined her mother. In June 2007, Consuelo Aaron’s life was claimed in a fatal car accident and Annette Aaron became the director of the gallery.
As times change, so does the D.C. art scene. In the fall of 2010, the Aaron Gallery stayed on top of the game by relocating to the West End neighborhood, a more downtown location. The Aaron Gallery has also happily progressed into a cutting edge «by appointment only» art consulting business. Aaron Gallery continues to show on the 10th floor of 2101 L Street NW, Washington, DC 20 037, as well as representing its many talented artists.
