Cute little spot — hard to find if your not from the area. Actually had to pull over and plug it into the GPS. Great sandwich selection, both hot and cold. Nice sandwich lady. The shop itself makes you feel like you are back in time — I actually loved that. My sandwich was good, roll was really good but meat to bread ratio was off a bit. Not enough meat. Had to pull off some of my roll. I will definitely try this spot again. Maybe will have a hot sandwich next time.

Super cute place with very friendly people. I was pleasantly surprised with everything I had. The peanut butter delight bar was yummy — halfway between cake and brownie, with peanuts and chocolate chips on top. The Italian Grinder was just lovely. They use Buono’s bread, which is a great sign. You can tell they get it fresh every day. There’s a great selection of drinks, too! Sometimes you can’t find any diet drink items other than soda, but they had lots of snapples, etc. TIP: they are cash only!

Great little gem! But beware, it’s cash only. Big selection of sandwiches, all very reasonably priced and on some delicious soft Torpedo rolls. Had the freight car combo with a side of dirty rice. The sando was good, but some mustard would have set it off. Dirty rice was full of flavor and a good portion.

Tucked away on a side street across from the airport. This cool old shop makes a good sandwich. Cash only. Average lunch price. Buffalo chicken wrap with fries and a drink=$ 10. A good alternative to fast food.

The sandwiches here are delicious, and when you walk in it’s like stepping into a different era. Would seriously recommend the freight car and the cajun turkey if they have it! The wings here are great too!

Very mediocre at best. Not the type of diner that finds disorganization and clutter charming. The menu is sprawled out across two walls very confusingly. Only two bread choices today; wheat wrap or white torpedo roll. Ordered a tuna wrap with lettuce and tomato; very mediocre. Boyfriend ordered chicken salad on torpedo; eh. Better than mine but nothing spectacular. Ordered a side of potato salad & macaroni salad. Worst versions of both Ive ever had. Potato salad had too much filler aka carrots, onions and peppers. Potatoes were severely undercooked. Pasta salad was disgusting; barely any pasta and a very odd seasoning(paprika maybe). Gets two stars because staff was very cordial. Mousie’s up the street is a much better option.

I LOVELOVELIVETHISPLACE. Cathy, Chris and Nancy are awesome. The sandwiches are absolutely fantastic. My favorite is their take on the Cuban(but it’s a special and they don’t always have it on the menu). The hours aren’t awesome — I think 10−4… I often grab my husband and some of his coworkers sandwiches for lunch. When the office finds out that I am going, I get text messages w/orders from everyone! I just have to make sure I have enough cash, as they don’t take cards.

Sorry guys. I don’t get it. This place is mediocre on every level(although the building is very cool). I’m not here to dump but when I see all these five star ratings, I have to offer some balance. There are SOMANY other places with better food in this price range in this area. SJ is clean, the ingredients are fresh and the place is quaint. But it’s no great value and the bread… MYGOD, people, the bread. A great sandwich ISALLABOUTTHEBREAD(see review for Antonio’s bakery, also in Warwick). This is not good bread. This bread was«baked» in a factory and shipped in plastic bags in large trucks. Great bread is baked by a baker in a bakery, served the same day. Antonio’s, Borelli’s, Venda, Seven Stars, La Salle Bakery… all places within shot of SJ who know the difference between making a sandwich and creating a «sangweech”(sp?). And there is a difference. SJ has a place in the market. They’ve been around forever and will likely remain. But please, people. Keep your five stars for Seven Stars.

AWESOMEJOINT! It’s down at the end of a street off the railroad tracks next to «TRACK84» which looked like a great little Pub/Tavern but has since closed which is a Bummer. I heard that it was always pretty crowded & had a great clientele. I had the Italian Connection Grinder & it was DELICIOUS. The bread was perfectly moist but slightly chewy so it held up to the Italian vinaigrette drizzled over the cold cuts. I had the works so shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers. YUM! I talked with one of the gals & they have been in service for 27 years? Something like that! I can absolutely understand why. The interior is modest and has all sorts of old authentic Railroad memorabilia. Very kitschy which I love. They have 4 – 5 wooden booths & some 2&4 top tables. I love this place. I am looking forward to returning & working my way through the different Grinder selections. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

Living on the west coast, I REALLY miss good sandwiches like I had growing up in CT. I stumbled upon this place after a random rerouting to the TF Green Airport. Oh man, it was fate! I had the #8 Italian and wish I ordered the whole instead of the half. It was what an italian sandwich should be. The place is blocks from the airport and I WILL be back!

Amazing sandwiches!!! The chicken park is my favorite. Very fairly priced! The staff is very nice and helpful. Only negative, they don’t accept cards. Come with cash and that’s no problem at all!

Stopped by the Sandwich Junction en route from Missouri to a coaching course in MA. The restaurant had a quaint rustic feel that took you back to days of old. The food was very reasonably priced and was delicious. The homemade desserts were a treat as well. While slightly dirty and off the beaten path, I would highly recommend it to those looking for a non chain sandwich shop. I would certainly stop again!

For those of you not familiar with Post Road, Kilvert Street is directly across from Bertucci’s. Sandwich Junction is at the end of the street. There are about 6 or so parking spots in front. I was told by a staff member the empty lot across the street and the back of the building has more parking. I went after the lunch rush. Walk in and step back in time. I felt like I was in a 50’s lunch spot. Train memorabilia on the walls and a train set hanging from the ceiling. If the walls could talk you would be taken further back in time. The building was a Post Office, also was a stop for the mail train. As if on cue, a train rumble by to give me the full experience. It’s cash only and counter service. I got a Diner Car sandwich, meatballs, sausage, provolone on an Italian torpedo bun with tomato sauce along with an order of fries. The Diner Car overall was very good, it came promptly, It was quit hot with the cheese melted well. Nice and fresh bread. The sauce was slightly sweet with spices to counter. I enjoyed it very much, smooth which is how I like it. The meatballs had the prefect meat to mix ratio for me, soft and absorb the sauce well. Being picky, since we are all not perfect, one meatball in the middle sat to long in the warmer which altered the taste. The sauce, cheese, and bun made up for it. The sausage was like your Nana made it for Sunday gravy. It was only 1 meatball in the middle, the other 2 were fine. Wish there was one more piece of sausage. The fries were very hot and slightly undercooked. They were crispy and not oily. Just wished they were seasoned when taken out of the fryer. Salt or a spice mix really would have made a big difference. As the fries cooled off there was no sign of being undercooked and were much better. I just had to keep salting to have them stand up to the sandwich. Sandwich Junction served me an excellent lunch. I want to be clear, the Diner Car was a 9 – 9.5 and the fries were an 8. I really wish Unilocal would adopt ½ stars. Would be 4.5 stars. I was told owners also own bar next door.

Sandwich Love Tried the SJ last week and boy am I glad I did. The Junction is a small sandwich shop that has been around since the late 70’s. It also hasn’t been updated since then as well. But WHOCARES!!! Please don’t change. The shop makes several different specialty subs on fresh Italian bread. All prepared foods are made on premises and they only use top quality cold cuts. The Order: The Freight Car(Classic Italian) Train Wreck(Sausage and Meatball) Cup of Dirty Rice Soda All items are delicious especially the dirty rice. It’s a must order if you go. Total of 2 people 16 bucks, so for the food quality and the old school character/service, it’s a bargain. Tip: Cash Only and don’t forget the dirty rice. Thanks

Decided to grab a sandwich, four actually, before getting on a flight at the airport. What a great decision. Sandwich Junction was perfect for a pre flight stop and carb loading. From meatball sub. to a cuban on a roll which took me by surprise but was actually quite good. I’ll return for a sandwich anytime I am flying out of PVD.

This was a cute little place. I was working in Warwick and needed lunch. This place is small-there were a few people sitting at 1:45-so I am not sure what noon would look like. The menu is on the wall. Some of the items are hard to see due to things covering them up. When I was there they had run out of rolls-but they put it on a wrap and it was tasty. The server was nice and they seemed really busy. Little parking in front but a lot in back. I was in and out in about 5 – 7 minutes as were a few other people about me. Pretty impressive.

This is one hidden at the end of a dead end road sandwich shops that you would never know it exist. Everything is freshly made and taste good and presented Well. Had the chicken soup and Turkey wrap with fresh homemade pasta salad. Prices are fair and inexpensive I think. The décor is of an old train station. Very small inside but places to sit and eat. Was very busy on this day. parking can be a little tough and only take cash so make sure you have some. will be back here for sure it’s worth it.

The Freight Car is potentially the best Italian grinder that you could ever have. The hot relish that they use really ties everything together. It’s as filling as a sandwich gets without being too big or over the top. I work second shift, and it hurts that this place isn’t open til past 4pm.

Best meatball and sausage sandwich I’ve had in 35 years. Super friendly folks, large portions, very reasonable prices. Everybody was smiling coming in here.
