History

Established in 2007.

Sunset Grill opened it’s doors in 2007, along the river in Warsaw, KY. Since then, business owner and operator Dan Fuehner has served classics and new favorites to tourists and locals alike. Embodying the spirit of «small business», Sunset offers a family atmosphere, lovely indoor and outdoor accommodations, live entertainment; truly something for everyone.

I don’t know why this place got a low rating. We really enjoyed it. We had the country fried pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes (homemade) and a sandwich with fries. Everything was delicious. The place was packed, but still the service was quick and friendly.

This establishment is racist and extremely rude. My Hispanic friend and I were never served, and the waitress was extremely rude when I asked for her help. The bar was also full of creeps-​one even asked if he could «take a picture of us” — borderline to catch a predator… Then the same pervert called the manager over to him and started pointing to us and talking to the manager in out direction-​manager then turned around to look at us and gave my friend and I the dirtiest look I had ever seen… at that point we knew it was probably time to leave because neither of u felt completely safe.

Well… the only good thing I have to say about this place is that it’s on the river. Other than than, I can’t say anything positive. It took 10 minutes for us to be waited on, another 20 to get drinks and an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food. When our food arrived, it was cold and ½ of it had to be sent back. Avoid, unless you just want to grab a beer at the bar.

Pretty bad. Ordered a simple breakfast (an omelet) and it was not good. Had a very strange texture and aftertaste. Even the coffee was undrinkable. Cleanliness is obviously not a priority with this restaurant, as the bathroom was filthy and a peek in the kitchen area confirmed it.
The best I can say is the service was friendly and the view of the Ohio river is great. Unfortunately, I can not eat a view.

We have been going to sunset for years and it’s always been great. The ribs are the best I’ve ever had! The servers very personable. Dan has a gold mine here. Until last night. We ordered very simple meals — salads and burgers and potato skins — potato skins were not edible and we never got any other food. When I confronted the manager he just made lame excuses. IF we go back it definitely won’t be to eat

Had a bad experience here. Bathrooms were disgusting. Food was mediocre. Sandwiches were ok but pasta and other meals seemed to be microwaved or boil in bag reheats. No fresh food. Servers were uninterested.

Looked like a great place but sadly our visit was a poor one. Took 45 minutes just to get our appetizer — combo platter — while meek in portion size, the wings and onion rings were good. Main dishes were not great and waitress seamed to struggle to manage tables — will not return.

We got off the road by the nearby Kentucky Speedway on the hunt for food. … Nothing … Further off the highway… More nothing. Great scenery. I’ll live there, but where do they eat? We finally got to a T in the road. Left or right? Thankfully we turned left and ended up on this road that ran parallel to the Ohio River. Someone in the car pointed at a restaurant facing the river and said «what about here»? So we did and had a great meal. I was the most boring with a burger. Someone else got their fried baloney sandwich. The third person in the group got their pot roast sandwich.
We all agreed that the food was great. Our sever was very friendly and took great care of us. The prices were right on based on the menu. Once I got my meal I could not believe how much I got for my money. I left full and our sweet and kind server even offered to go cups.
It is places like this that should inspire you to get off the highway and get a little lost in your quest for food.

This place is a great place to sit and eat on a nice day. The river view is very nice. It’s a stop for people who ride motorcycles around the river run. Th staff has always been friendly and the food hot and fresh. The selection of drinks is a varied as what you’ll see float by on the river.

I had a pulled pock sandwich with sweet tangy BBQ sauce, with greens and coleslaw. The price was $ 10.00, sandwich was 3 out of 5 coleslaw 4 out of 5 greens 1 out of 5. Greens a little salty maybe from the can.

We had the breakfast buffet and were impressed and super happy with both the service and food! I wish I lived here so that I could his this place up more often!

The view is beautiful and our waitress was very attentive and informative! We had spicy dry rub wings as an appetizer. It was a good dry rub but it was in no way spicy. I would order them again though because the wings were very well cooked and I don’t like to question if my wings are done.
My husband had a full rack of ribs with corn on cob and baked potato while I had open faced pot roast sandwich with mashed potato and green beans. No complaints about the food. It was very good.
The only complaint we have is the place is crawling with flies in the dining room. I don’t know if it’s because servers are constantly in and out of the doors to go to deck tables or what. It’s very annoying to swat after flys the entire time you eat.
