Great Price, Great flavor, Large meals — I have only visited this place twice while traveling to Warsaw on business. This place is not fancy or pretty but I do not care — food was good. I ordered the ‘Mexican Taco’ the first and the«Fajitas Mixed» the second. Both great flavor and all meats seasoned well. The salsa and hot sauce are great. The fajitas were enough for two people. I was expecting a plate full of onion and peppers but I got plenty of shrimp, well-seasoned chicken, and tender meat(steak). Oh there were onions and peppers, too. Servers were nice. I went at 5pm on Wednesday — it was fairly slow. I gave this place an extra star for value — this place has great inexpensive lunch specials.

El Comal, is a small Mexican Restaurant with big flavors. My friends and I frequent Comal for lunch. The food is fresh, and has a homemade feel to it. A small concentrated menu, great lunch specials, and a very attentive wait staff. It’s clean, well organized. I can’t get past the enchiladas, which are dipped in sauce and fried, instead of just a steamed tortilla covered in sauce. It’s the small authentic touches that set Comal apart.

The Mexican style tacos here are the best tacos I’ve had outside of Mexico, no joke. Simple, fresh and perfectly cooked. We’ve been back a couple times and have yet to be displeased with a single thing we’ve eaten there. Burritos, tacos, salsa, horchata. all great.

Since I live in Texas, I am a huge Mexican food snob. This is one of the few places outside the southwest that understands what Mexican food should taste like. House made tortillas and salsa are awesome. Great lunch specials.

If you are expecting a high end experience this is not the place for you — if however you want real Mexican food that actually has flavor El Comal is your ticket. The tacos can either be had as American style or the more authentic Mexican style with your choice of juicy flavorful meat, corn tortillas, jalapenos, cilantro, and finally fresh onion. I appreciated the waitress asking if we wanted the jalapeño and onion when ordering because some folks just don’t want the extra heat and they would go to waste. We also had the quesadilla with the pastor meat. The meat had big flavor and tasted like it had been made in house. The quesadilla was cooked perfectly and had a good balance of other ingredients. It was served with re-fried beans and Mexican rice. We also tried the queso dip with chips and it was also good, but the portion was on the smallish side and we were expecting the same big bold flavors of the other food. However this is a minor quibble. The servers were very friendly, suggested that we try the queso, and really kept things moving even though the restaurant was packed and they were struggling to keep things moving. Overall the combination of food, the energy of the place, the friendly servers, the nice mix of people that were eating there, the fact that the place was constantly busy and yet everyone was enjoying themselves makes this a must stop for authentic Mexican food. I can’t wait to go back and try the fajitas, burritos, and homemade guacamole.

I was a little hesitant to visit here at first but I am so glad I did! Mexican tacos are a must. Plus their cheese and homemade salsa are a great appetizer. Very authentic.

WOW!!! The Mexican style tacos are amazing. I tried all four my favorite was the chicken. The green sauce was outstanding just the right amount of heat. This was such a surprise we were in town for our daughter’s softball tournament and stumbled onto this little gem. The service was quick and friendly. The dining room was nothing fancy but it was very clean!

Get the Tacos(Mexican style). You may be tempted to get the lunch buffet or something else on the menu, but their tacos shine far above anything else. Not only the best tacos in town, but the best tacos I’ve had anywhere in the USA. Don’t get distracted. GET. THE. TACOS. Everything else I’ve tried there is pretty average for Warsaw Mexican food. But the tacos are outstanding. The Tacos are about $ 2 each. I get 2 or 3 for lunch, depending on how hungry I am. Great lunch value.

Me and Fiancé found this hidden gem while driving down E Winona Ave for other reasons and decided to give this a try. We had already tried most of the other mexican restaurants in Warsaw and were disappointed at the commercialization of their food that lacked authenticity. Taqueria El Comal was a breath of fresh air. Their portions are large, their prices reasonable, and their food out of this world. There is some charm that comes with eating this food where you can tell that these are family recipes(I’m not mexican, but their food had an authentic feel to it). The service was great and the sauces that they give at the table were amazing.(Ask for the hot sauce, its so delicious). We both ordered what we thought were pretty standard 1 person meals, My fiancé ordered the Chicken Fajita and I ordered a weekend combo special of enchilada and tostada(made vegetarian). Both meals were enough to leave leftovers for at least 1 more meal. Overall, I would say that if we were craving mexican again, we would not go anywhere else in Warsaw. This place is amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for delicious, fresh, mexican food with a homemade feel.

This might honestly be some of the best food I’ve had in years. I didn’t get a chance to eat inside. I ordered food to go. I got 3 tacos and I was truly disappointed when they were all gone. I was very full and yet I wanted MORE! I would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone!
