AutoZone appeals to the home mechanic with a selection of inexpensive, high volume, easily replaced components. Although they cannot compete with WalMart on items like oil and filters, usually they are the lowest cost parts suppliers. My only complaint arises from the same reason that I spend my money there; low cost. The Chinese manufactured components often perform badly, but on the other hand, AutoZone does have a solid warranty policy. I like the Warrenton facility, having purchased parts there many times. The counter staff is helpful and courteous, and I have always received good service from Tim. They credit me with a military discount upon request and display of my military identification card, and they replace those cheap Chinese parts without any arguments.

After a small escapade at another Autozone I stopped her to get the part I was after. The employee that handled my request was polite, helpful, and friendly. When I explained the confusion on the other store’s behalf… She apologized for my «inconvenience» for the other store. She went so far as to open the item up I was purchasing to insure both shocks were in there. Very clean store, polite, and on the ball employees.

I went to this Warrenton Auto Zone location to get some antifreeze and a radiator cap. A guy named Tim helped me not really. At the almost end I said I am a veteran May I have my veterans discount? He said I need to see your card. I said I don’t have one. He said I need to see the card to apply the discount. I said look at my license plates. The plates were good for every other employee and the dmv. I am not retired or a war vet. Did not know I could get a card that said I was a vet. Their policy is not a war vet or ret. This guy Tim said my plates mean nothing, no American would say that to me. Guess what he is not one of us. He is from Britan, I won’t even say Gt britan. Now that is wrong an American company hires people that spit in the face of American Veterans on the week of Veterans Day.
