Primrose School of Warren

We are very happy with the Primrose School of Warren, the staff is great, they make sure the kids have fun while receiving a good education. Everything is very clean and well maintained. I am also happy to see that they give back to the community through a number of programs which help those in need and teach the children the value of doing so.

My child has been at the school just over a year. It started with a very attentive staff and the managent was supportive of my child’s well being. However, the quality of care at the school has deteriorated significantly!!! The staff turn over rates are enormous. My child has had 8 teachers in the last year. The classrooms are chaotic and teachers overwhelmed (child to teacher ratios are never maintained). My child comes home with rashes, not fed, missed her nap, and cranky not wanting to return. I have tried multiple time to work with the staff, but they have been unaccomodating. I would strongly recommend you look at different daycares if you want attentive staff and management.

Our son was enrolled at another close, private, Pre-​K school also in Warren, however, we were looking for something a with a stronger academic focus. Once we toured the Primrose school, and read the Kindergarten school teachers credentials, we were SOLD! Primrose just celebrated their 1 year anniversary, and the facilities are brand new. It is the flagship franchise in NJ, so the facilities are amazing. The Kindergarten teacher is excellent, and has many years of early child development education and experience, and works well with the Primrose curriculum. From the organic garden, to the extensive jungle gyms, to the in class stage in the Kindergarten room, this place is amazing. Breakfast and Lunch are included in tuition, so that is a plus. Additional optional activities (outside vendors come to the school) offered are Music, Secondary Languages, tumble classes, and Tae Kwon Do. The owners are a family and know what the needs of children require, as their own children are cared for at the facilities. Visit the School and you’ll be impressed!

We are so glad that we took a chance on Primrose! We initially had reservations about enrolling our 2 year-​old in this brand new preschool we’ve never heard of. The facility is immaculate and staff seemed nice and friendly, but we weren’t sure if all the talk about their so called ‘Balanced Learning Curriculum’ lives up to the ‘promise’ and didn’t really want to be a guinea pig since they’re so new. Well, after visiting other facilities in the area and our experience with our old daycare, we decided to take a chance on Primrose. And boy, are we glad we did. We absolutely love their curriculum! My two year old now comes home singing a different song each day. She can’t stop talking about ‘her’ Miss Dombro, and ‘her’ Mrs. Goodman and all the activities they do each day. She even recites from books they read to her in class. (She is a great listener. We are still surprised every day by how much she knows every time we hear something new out of her mouth that we didn’t teach her.) She was even potty trained after a couple weeks of starting school there. And now, she is completely diaper free. YAY. Thanks Primrose. You guys are the best, worth every penny to know that our little one is in the hands of people who really care about her. (Btw, we thought they were more expensive compared to other pre-​schools in the area, but after not being nickeled and dimed like we were at the other daycare she was at for things like learning materials (for arts and crafts), enrichment classes, etc., it actually evens out since we pay one flat fee for everything, including food/​breakfast, lunch and in between snacks, all the extra take home learning materials like flash cards and music CDs).
