My recent experience with Intercity Lines was absolutely five star! I would highly recommend InterCity Lines to anyone interested in shipping a vehicle or a fleet of vehicles anywhere in the country. Andy Schmidt’s personal service was excellent; he was accessible throughout the entire time my vehicles were in his care and my vehicles arrived ahead of schedule from Boston to California. I appreciate the first class service from InterCity Lines.

If you have a classic car you want delivered on time, with great care, there is ONLY ONE place to call. Intercity. Request Bob Shaw too. Its an ace. I have my 69 GTO Judge delivered from Fla to NJ and I could not be happier. Thank you Bob and thank you Intercity!

After seeing Intercity Lines ship vehicles for Wayne Carini on Chasing Classic Cars, I went to their website for additional information. I was pleased to note this was not a broker and that they had their own fleet of trucks and trailers. The testimonial given by Jay Leno also gave me the assurance that they would do an excellent job in the shipping of my two classic Mustangs from Corona, Ca. to Carmel, In. From the time I placed the order to deliver to my home in Carmel, the 7 days far exceeded my expectations. Roy did a great job in the office when I placed the order, and the driver, Warren, kept me well informed along his travels, keeping me informed of where he was at, and when he would be delivering the vehicles. The transporter was clean and the vehicles were secured by tire straps and covered for added protection as shown in their video. Warren was meticulous in his work and carefully unloaded both vehicles and drove them from the truck into my garage. I found the charges to be reasonable, given the service and peace of mind they provided, and would certainly use them again the next time I ship a vehicle. If they are good enough for Wayne Carini, Jay Leno, and the Peterson Museum in LA, they are certainly good enough for me. Thanks to Roy, Warren, and Intercity Lines for a job well done!

These Guys Are the One!!! Trust me!
Review: I read many horror stories about the various transport companies you can find online. After reading positive review after positive review about Intercity I requested a quote. It was higher than I expected but I believe you get what you pay for and I would rather pay a little extra to someone I can trust with my mint condition drop top 64 Impala than take any chances trying to save a measly couple hundred bucks. These guys were stone cold professionals. From the moment I first spoke to Roy to get a quote these guys made me feel like I was in safe hands. You could tell they are on top of their game. They stayed in contact with me every day throughout the entire process and actually showed up 3 – 4 days ahead of schedule! I had to scramble around on a Sunday morning to pull out the cash payment for the driver but that was actually good news and not a bad thing. The driver was friendly, professional and called me several times during transport. The delivery was smooth and right to my doorstep. I could not be happier. These guys brought my car in perfect condition and I could tell they really do treat the cars like they are the prized possessions the owners treat them as. If you want someone reliable, trustworthy and don’t want to worry about your car you NEED to use Intercity. I am not blowing smoke up anyone’s arse here. If you want peace of mind and then pay a little extra and use these guys. You will not have to stress about anything and that to me is priceless. Thank you Roy, Dean and my driver for a truly enjoyable and smooth process. Anytime I need to transport a vehicle or if a friend needs this service rest assured these guys have earned me as a client for life.
And no I wasn’t offered anything to write this review lol, these guys earned it with top notch customer service. And I hate writing reviews and never do. But this was definitely warranted I want other people to get their cars safely as I did with my 64 which I couldn’t be happier with!!! Thank you Intercity!

Very good and professional company. I had a pleasant experience from booking the transport up to delivery. Roy communicated well via email and answered and set my expectations with regard to the vehicle pickup and delivery. The vehicle was picked up in less than 7 days and was delivered exactly a week after it was picked up. This is great considering it was a NJ to Southern CA transport. Warren the driver took care from picking up to delivery. He kept us updated as to how far he is and when to expect delivery. Very outstanding service from all of the staff I worked with. I would highly recommend them to anyone moving their car especially if it were coast to coast.

Intercity transported a Porsche for me from Georgia to California. As others have said, Intercity is more expensive than average, but you get what you pay for. I didn’t want to skimp on the price of the transport and then have to deal with damage due to a careless transport.
I did a lot of research online before hiring Intercity and I found a lot of positive testimonials and feedback on the automotive forums. Intercity became my first choice.
Booking was easy and communication from the driver was frequent.
There were zero issues with the car. It came out immaculate.
I’d use Intercity again.

Will definitely be using this company anytime I need a customers car shipped. I work at a nissan dealer from beginning to end truly a painless transaction I knew my customers car was in great hands when the carrier Is shipping 5 other cars just as exotic as the one I was shipping

I’ve had to move across the country several times for work, so I’ve shipped cars more than the average person. Most recently, I used Intercity to ship two cars for a move from Boston, MA to Denver, CO. Both cars were picked up on time, arrived on time, and were literally given a white glove treatment from start to finish.
Auto shipment doesn’t get better than Intercity Lines. Jay Leno and Wayne Carini (Chasing Classic Cars, Velocity Channel) both use their service to ship extremely expensive, rare cars. The driver that handled my car knows Wayne personally, and even once appeared on the show. I told him I was a fan, and he went into his cab and handed me a free Wayne Carini t-​shirt. Awesome.
Their drivers are independent contractors that use their own tractors (a lot of the drivers have really fancy live-​in custom models with built-​in kitchens and showers). Though the drivers have the freedom to choose their own tractor, they are all required to use a standard Intercity-​owned trailer. The trailers are all very clean, modern double-​decker covered units with a fancy hydraulic door that doubles as a ramp to lift your car in.
Everyone I dealt with from Intercity was very friendly and went the extra mile. Their prices were also extremely competitive for the high class of service you get. You absolutely cannot go wrong with these guys.
That said, whatever you do – DO NOT — EVER — use U-​Ship or a shipping broker to ship a car you care about even a little bit. If you go that route, your vehicle (s) may not ever even get picked up.

Let me start off with Cross– country move from Virginia to Los Angeles, CA Is a lot of stress added into my life
At the time, I had a Honda s2000 and wanted to transport it closed across country. I have heard scary stories about open transportation.
I reached out to a car club in Virginia and they recommended intercity lines.
I got a quote and they even gave a discount for using the club.
When they came and picked up my s2000 it was perfect the car is completely enclosed, And I knew it was in good hands because my $ 25,000 car was the lowest in price on the rig.
They do a full walk around and detail the scratches on the car prior to loading and cover the floor mats and driver seat.
My driver was Rob and he called me every other day, I loved that because I always knew where my car was and how much progress it was making.
They only deliver door to door and literally came to my parents front door and dropped it off at my apartment complex in LA
I would use Intercity if I ever move back to the East Coast or for just moving within California

I purchased a BMW from a dealer in CA and because of taxes, needed to have it shipped to me in CO. I read a ton of reviews on different sites. Intercity Lines was recommended by a number of members on the Bimmerforums. Thier quote was right in line with other enclosed transport options, but they were a carrier. After talking with Jim, I felt very confident with choosing Intercity Lines. My car was picked up within 2 business days of availability. The driver, Andy, was very courtious and professional. He did a great job of keeping me informed. I would have loved it delivered to my door, but there was no way he could have got the truck into our cul-​de-​sac. We met at a retail parking lot at the appointed time, which i had to delay an hour, so the car was already unloaded. Andy had put plastic on the seat and a paper mat on the floor to protect the interior. The car was in perfect shape! One final note. Unlike a lot of other companies, I was not offered anything for this review. They earned this rating, they did not buy it. For that special car use Intercity Lines.

If you love your car and need to have it transported use Intercity Lines! The door to door service, enclosed trailer and excellent customer service makes Intercity your best choice. The price is worth the worry-​free transport. We were also very impressed with the driver «Steve», who provided platinum customer service and took excellent care of our car. Thanks Intercity!

I had the best experience I could have hoped for with Intercity. Scheduling was a breeze and everything was done exactly as promised. The driver picked up the car from CA, went over with a fine tooth comb and then reported to me every step of the way. Some days later, he arrived at my home in IL and proceeded to carefully unload the car and drove it right into my garage. Their trucks are extremely sophisticated and their drivers are very friendly. What more can you ask for?

These folks charge a significant premium for their services. But that premium is worth it, if you have a car you really care about. I did a lot of research before hiring a company to move my fairly nice car from Texas to New York, and discovered a lot things that make Intercity different.
1. Your car is in true enclosed transport. That means a roof and a floor. That’s not true of all transporters that claim to be enclosed. In fact, some offer a normal car trailer with a cover but no floor, meaning that your car is still exposed to all the crud from the cross country move. Intercity shows up with a truck like what you would get for a move of your furniture.
2. Door to door means door to door. That is, a driver shows up at your house with the nice enclosed trailer, and then shows up at your new house with the same enclosed trailer. Other transporters either deliver to a terminal, or offer door to door service that involves your car being brought to your house via, essentially, a towing service or flat bed sort of situation. Not so here.
3. The same guy brings your car the whole way in the same truck. No weird transfers between trucks and drivers. The same person you meet at the embarkation is the same person who brings it all the way home. You can call him on the way to check on progress, coordinate delivery, ask questions, etc.
Not to mention that my delivery was fast and exactly on promised time. I had an excellent experience with intercity.

Cross-​country moves are pretty much guaranteed to add measurable stress to your life.
Thankfully Intercity Lines won’t.
You can pay less to ship your car but to me the extra cost was absolutely worth the peace of mind Intercity provided me.
A friendly driver (in my case, Eric) will come to your home, load your car up on an enclosed truck and take it to your destination (in my case, San Francisco to Washington, D.C.) Your car will never change hands — it will not be transferred to another truck. And anytime during the journey you can call your driver’s mobile phone and ask him where your car is.
When you get your car on the other side it will be in the exact same condition it was when you loaded it up on the other end. Because it stays on one truck with the same driver, you can put important stuff (in my case, many bottle of California wine) in your car and they will still be there when you retrieve your car.
If you’ve got to go through the hassle of shipping a car I would, without reservation, recommend Intercity Lines.
