Exotic Nails

This place is a hidden gem. The customer service is wonderful as is the quality of the service provided. Prices are on par with most nail salons in the area. The salon itself is clean, yet a bit cluttered. But don’t let that keep you away!

I gave one star for their quick service but it was horrible, horrible horrible.
The older lady upselled every little thing.
$ 1 extra for white polish, $ 1 extra for two coats of glitter polish, very few colors to choose from, cutting nails 1/​8″ long just pass fingertips are $ 18, cutting nails ¼″ is $ 23. I went because the price list offered air brush. No air brush available.
Nails cut different lengths, acrylic thickness different on several nails.
I will not be going back.

Based on reviews posted before, a friend and I decided to try this nail salon while on a business trip to Detroit. Good, quick, cheap, polite. Old school attention to details. Didn’t use a drill on my nails for the gel polish manicure I had, thank you! They obviously have some of the latest products available. Great place. Good customer service.

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
I went in to try their new eyelash fillin, extentions, and it was horrible. It BURNED during the process. I told her multiple times and she ignored me and continued to go on. She then said «it’s normal». THEN she told me that to get it off «Vasalibe 5min. Then hot towel, comes right off». DIDN’T WORK!!! She put a big chunk of glue on my lashes. It was as hard as rock! I even bought adhesive eyelash glue remover. STILL DIDN’T WORK! Worse experience EVER!

I grew up in South Warren, so I know this area well. I have been to this salon several times in the past, but the one experience in particular is what I want to review.
I got married in September of 2011. A couple of days before the wedding I took my 2 sisters here so that we could all get our nails and toes done. we couldn’t get all of our schedules synced up, so when I called to make an appointment, they offered to stay open for just us 3 after normal business hours!!!
My sisters got acrylic or gels, I can’t remember, and I got Shellac.
First off, let me just say that the nails all looked beautiful. I wanted red nails and toes for my wedding, and they had the most gorgeous reds to choose from! They also somehow shaped my short, stubby nails to look beautiful on their own!
On my honeymoon, I went to Jamaica. I climbed a waterfall there and STILL, my polish was perfect!
Also, during the application of the polish, I was excited talking about wedding stuff and managed to mess up the polish before it was cured. They were SO sweet about it, and just laughed it off and said «Let’s try that again». Shellac is a long process, so this made me smile.
I was stressed about so many things on the day of my wedding. The only thing that I didn’t really have to worry about was the beauty of my nails and toes. :)
I would highly recommend this place for a wedding party or formal event!

I know what a quality pedi and mani is and you most certainly won’t find it here. First off, they are cheap. Really stingy with the foot scrub and don’t even think about a nice foot massage, you get a 15 second once over on each leg/​foot and that’s it. They are really unsanitary, and they throw the pedicure tools in the water after they finish using it, so when you are doing your final scrub all these tools are bumping your legs! That’s how they wash them folks. Now onto the mani, they used cheap dish detergent in the mani bowl filled with some rocks at the bottom and I guess that is supposed to do it for you. Cuticles were a wreck job from hell! and they sprayed some stuff on that tools. didn’t smell like anything, alcohol, nothing, could have been water for all I know. I won’t be going back to that place! It’s highly unsanitary and while I like a deal. I don’t want an infection. DON’T GO!

Went there today for a pedicure. I moved to this area a year ago, and have been searching for a good place to get a pedicure. The place was clean, and they were nice. The girl that did my pedicure did a great job. I will be back.

I actually go to the Exotic Nails at 3614 12 Mile Rd, Berkley, MI 48 072, but they are owned by the same people. EXCELLENT prices! (Mani=$ 10 and spa pedi is only $ 22!!). They are all very nice and do an excellent job! Walk-​ins are welcome!
