It was a lot of fun. Its a game of clues, that unlock boxes and unveil additional clues. You put a puzzle together and figure out the final clue to get out of the room. It was a lot of fun, I did it with my hockey team we had about 12 people.

Sooooo much fun!!! This was such a great idea to spend my friends birthday here. A small group of us joined another group (that’s how you make new friends) and did the Ringmasters lair. I don’t want to give away any secrets but it’s circus related.
You spend an hour trapped in a room with 10 people attempting to solve clues in order to get the room to unlock before the hour is up. We were so close! But we had so much fun. It was a bonus that the group of girls with us were super nice. The employee running it was also really nice and showed us everything we missed at the end. Loved it and will for sure come back to do the zombie one!

This is an edit to my first review. I originally thought that the pricing was too high based on my expectations but I actually did not know what to expect so I fell my original review was not fair.
The game was actually really fun. With a group of 10 people it can get hectic but that can be said for many activities. We worked together and got out of the room just in time.
I would recommend this to others looking for something different than just the routine bar weekend. It is creative and a good relationship builder.

We visited the Ann Arbor location. We found the game enjoyable and would possibly consider doing it again somewhere else.
Cons:
Not worth $ 25/​Per person nothing changes the more people you have.
The person we had giving our instructions seemed a bit aloof, or perhaps hung over.
Anyone can create difficult puzzles and pile them on top of each other but the best rooms are the ones that give you a sense of excitement and FUN while doing so — I feel that this one fell short in that respect.
Suggestion:
Make sure the staff is happy and excited to be there (or at least able to fake it).

This was great. It was really fun, and just the right amount of challenging. My group did the espionage theme, and it had a nice backstory and mission to go with it. You really have to work together to get out, and I think we had an advantage with a small group. We weren’t stepping on each others toes. I would highly recommend anyone to try this.

I have been to one other place in the area like it, but this one was definitely better. I look forward to the time I get to go back. It is definitely something different to do on a Saturday night. Would highly recommend anyone who enjoys puzzles and reading too much into everything go and have a good time.

My group had an amazing time solving the puzzles. We didn’t get out, but it was so much fun. The clues were good and it makes you over think. We loved it. Can’t wait to try the next one. Great job guys!

The company I work for planned this as an outing/​team-​building exercise. We did the Zombie Roadhouse with 12 people. At first, it’s overwhelming and feels crowded, but once you figure out how the game works/​what needs to be done it gets exciting!
I would say 8 – 10 people is probably the best number of participants for the Zombie Roadhouse. With 12, several things got overlooked by assuming someone had already investigated it, and at other times, too many people were focusing on one puzzle that could have been figured out by only 2 – 3 people.
Overall, we had a blast, worked great as a team and bonded. After, we stopped at Kuhnhenn’s (a two minute drive!) for beers and pizza. Great night and can’t wait to come back for more!

I’ve done room breakouts around the country and this is THE BEST one I’ve done! Not to miss. So much fun and the owners are so nice and have excellent customer service. We hired out for a private birthday party for one of our teens. So we had a room full of teens and a few moms and we had a blast. Thanks!

This puzzle room was a lot of fun. The décor was pretty bare-​bones — and some of the puzzle materials were pretty low-​cost too. But the puzzles themselves were fun and just the right amount of challenge to keep our whole group occupied. Loved the device they use to deliver hints. really glad to see the puzzle room trend has made it to Michigan!

Went here with a group of coworkers.. its amazing how you have to actually «work together» to get out! We had a blast, we didn’t make it out but boy it was so much fun! We are definitely doing it again. The staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating, we will be back for another adventure! Oh and we got an awesome fire tossing show afterward! Great night :-)

Went to Breakout tonight with a group of friends and had a blast. The puzzles and clues are not super hard but challenging enough to cause you to think and work together as a team. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. Definitely a fun way to spend a hour. I would recommend Breakout to anyone.

Awesome, amazing escape room! We had so much fun and are now addicted to these adventures! We did the Espionage room with a group of 6 and did not manage to escape. We were close, but needed a few more minutes.
This was the first room we did and have done one room from another place since. The bar has been set high by Breakout!

You really have to experience the magic of this place yourself. I organized a group event here and it was a spectacular and unforgettable time. I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun everyone had– even those of my friends who are not normally into puzzles and games. The staff was so friendly and helpful along every step of the way. Can’t wait to try the upcoming new room!

We decided to visit Break Out this past weekend for my birthday, and it was a blast. We were able to break out of the room with less than ten minutes to spare! The puzzles were challenging, but never frustrating. Everyone was on their toes the entire time. If you and your friends like games and puzzles, this is an event for you. I would highly recommend doing this with a full group of friends, but I’m sure doing a pickup game with a few strangers isn’t that bad either. My friends enjoyed it so much, we were ready to book our next visit for the other room almost immediately.

I have done Room Breakout twice. I have completed both rooms — the Ringmaster’s Den and the Game of Espionage. Both experiences were amazing!
The people that put this together really thought it through. We did this with colleagues and it was an excellent team building event. The first time we had 12, the second time we had 7. I think the sweet spot is 6 – 10 people. Too many and it gets chaotic, too few and you don’t have enough resources.
Ringmaster is definitely easier than Espionage — so if you’ve never done this — start there.
