We are a real «Brick & Mortar» book shop specializing in primarily used books, vintage vinyl LPs, CDs, Audio Tapes, Sheet Music and general ephemera. We also host and Open Read Night the 3rd Friday of each month of which authors and poets are invited to read their works in front of an audience or, just listen to others read their writings.

History

Established in 2009.

My wife Shannon and I have been involved in the book trade for over 20 years. In 2009 we opened Authors Books & Music in downtown Warren, PA.

I visited this book shop for the first time recently and I was pleased. The books are well organized and I found a lot of goodies. I picked up a Lotr box set, I was very excited! The atmosphere is nice, it smelled good and the owner had very nice music playing. It’s nice to know that once a month the store has readings, sadly my schedule won’t permit me to attend. I will be returning to this shop!

Author’s is a pleasant enough little used book store. The one thing about perusing books that end up in small rural town bookshops is that not only do you never know what you might come up with; the chances are pretty darn good that they haven’t been all picked over by everyone, especially by one knowledgeable in the area of rare or highly regarded collectables. Indeed, I was fortunate to come across one rather good rarity.
