Love this place! Everything I’ve eaten here is great! I think it’s the best fast food chicken place in OKC!

In a way, I can’t call this anything but fast food fried chicken… but it’s a cut above KFC or Church’s Fried Chicken. It’s very similar to Raisin’ Canes chicken in style and quality. But I would rate this place better for a couple of reasons. It seems like they really do cook and season their chicken well. It has a crispness and quality to it. It’s not bland like Church’s tends to be. And the dipping sauces??? Well, I thought they were spicier than most so really pretty good. I had the«sweet and sour» which is closer to an «asian zing» if you get my drift. And the spicy barbecue is not like a real hot barbecue sauce… but a zestier, bbq sauce with a touch of heat. Fries were also good, both as to taste as to their portioning. Crisp and fresh tasting for fast food fries. Rating it 4 stars in relation to what type of place it is… and in comparison to other chicken places of the type of restaurant. Good experience.

There were four in our party I got the chicken and waffles and the rest had inferno smoky cheddar wrap or chicken tenders with sauce. We all loved it!!! Topped it off by sharing a pumpkin cheesecake in a jar. Great customer service from the staff! We will definitely be back!

Stopped in after some exausting Christmas shopping. The smell of fried chicken when you walked is was defiantly mouth watering. . I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and fries. The wrap had a good flavor and the buffalo sauce was spicy but I was trying to be somewhat healthy and got the grilled chicken instead of the fried. Next time it will be fried. Partner got the Chick Plate. That was what make me wish I had gotten the fried chicken. He also got the Mango/Habanero dipping sauce and he said it was fantastic. He commented that his chicken was cooked perfectly and he defiantly wanted to come back. We split a order of fried pickles that were delicious and almost as good as mine. Nice atmosphere and very nice staff. It was very clean. When they weren’t waiting on customers everybody was doing some type of cleaning. Restrooms were spotless and that is always something I notice in a restaurant. Will defiantly be back.

Mediocre chicken tenders and the staff there don’t appear to be fans of the product either. The food isn’t bad it’s just not rememberable. If you have been to Canes then you have seen thus before. If you are from the area just head to chicken express.

I have been enjoying their buffalo chicken wrap with spicy Barbecue sauce, with fried okra. The iced tea hadn’t ever been on point, and always check your bag for the extra sauce that you are purchasing! it’s yummy. I haven’t tried anything else on their menu.

This chicken was delicious! So tender and the wings too! I order the 5 and 5 with honey barbecue and slim’s special sauce. So glad they decided to put one on NW Expressway! It was our first time eating here and we’ve already been back and not for the last time. The service is impeccable too!

Not fast, but hot, fresh, and good, Slim Chickens on NW Expressway made for a great lunch today. Average price per person was $ 10 but all the fam got full, and everyone enjoyed their experience. Customer service was great, and I like their chicken tenders over Raising Caine’s. We will visit again.

Average at best. Nothing more than any of the other chicken places such as Ragin’ Cajun or Popeyes. In my opinion you can go across the street to churches chicken and get better chicken tenders for a lot cheaper price especially with their coupons. Probably a one time visit only sorry slim.

Very good! Chicken was lightly breaded and very tender. I have to say it’s better than raising canes by far. I will def go back.

Second trip. First was chicken and waffles and it was delish! This time was drive through and the wings were just fair. Could have been an off day. We will be back.

I’ve been twice and really… it’s just OK. There are EIGHT chicken restaurants on NWEXP and really? I watched the familiar architecture of SWADLEY’S go up and thought, «Yes! BBQ!» Crap… chicken. OK then, let’s try it. Well, both times have been fair but far from spectacular. The chicken tenders are decent, but I’ve had better. The sides were served near lukewarm… Here are your chicken choices on NW Expressway: Buffalo Wild Wings Church’s Slim Chickens Popeye’s Wingstop Chik-fil-a KFC Cane’s Try it and decide for yourself. Bonus: the white gravy is really good and none of the other places serve it with your chicken!

Okay, this was excellent and dangerously close to home. We came in here last night. After a long weekend of entertaining at our house, we were too tired to cook on Sunday night, and we had a few quick little errands we needed to run, so we decided to fuel up here. I had the salad with fried chicken, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and onion straws. This is so similar to a salad I’ve always loved from Belle Isle Brewery, but I think the lettuce in this case was even more fresh and crisp, and the chicken perhaps a smidge tastier. I think I know what I’ll be ordering when people want to bring us dinner after the baby comes, lol. When I first saw it, I didn’t think I could eat all of it, but somehow I managed. K had the tenders with fried okra instead of fries. He enjoyed his chicken and his dipping sauces, and as a certified okra aficionado, I can tell you this is some good okra. I probably ate about half of it… don’t judge me. We loved the décor, with the tall ceilings, rafters, rough hewn wood, a good mix of booths and tables and vintage looking signage. We also felt like they must take pretty good care of their employees because they had some great people working who took pride in their work. Our food came out quickly and was nice and hot. It was very cold inside, and yet still too warm to sit outside, so we kinda froze inside. However, I’m sure that’s part of why the employees seemed happy though, I’m sure it felt good if you were working hard in the big, open kitchen. So, I’ll just remember to bring a sweater.
