History

Established in 1984.

How does a small businesses come up with their company name? In this case it is a vital part of our story. The shop was started as a homegrown business in 1984. Mickey was an avid cross-stitcher and Harry was a tradesman. She stitched her works and he lovingly framed them. A business was born and it was called M&H Wood Studio. In time, it grew beyond the dining room of their home. Moving to Warminster, PA was a big but necessary step for growth. The 1500 square foot storefront also was outgrown and was soon upgraded to 2500 square feet of retail space. The name changed to M&H Custom Framing and Gallery. The new location provided adequate space to display our services as well as all types of art. The gallery has been in existence for over 25 years. Our philosophy has always been to provide our clients the time that they deserve in order to properly benefit the item to be framed.

Meet the Business Owner

Karen L.

Business Owner

Karen became a customer of Mickey and Harry, the original owners of M&H Custom Framing. From this point on the story becomes like «The Sorcerer’s Apprentice»; Karen was hired by Mickey initially to clean the shop once a week. In time her artistic curiosity and keen interest to learn design aspects and technical insight to properly house the different art objects led her to work in the shop. In 1998 Karen bought the business from her friends. Today she is a hands-on framer, consultant in fine art and manager of M&H Custom Framing and Gallery. Her success as a custom framer stems from her passion for creativity and design.
