Thomas Michaels Kitchens

We emailed Thomas Michaels Kitchens off their website on Thursday, inquiring about visiting the showroom that Saturday and whether an appointment was suggested or if we should just stop in. We received no response either way, but in spite of this, still decided to make the drive from Centerville to Wareham, hoping to talk about starting a kitchen remodel.
When we arrived at the showroom, we were promptly greeted by no one. As we looked around the showroom, I came across a woman sitting at a desk in the back, almost by accident. A simple ‘hi’ was all I got before she buried her head behind her laptop again. As we continued our way around the showroom, not once did the woman behind the desk make any attempt to further acknowledge our presence, let alone offer us any assistance or try to engage us in any way. After about fifteen minutes of looking at cabinet displays and brochures we found lying around, we walked out. Much to our disappointment, the trip there and back, as well as the time we spent in the showroom, was utterly wasted.
Maybe it was because we walked in an hour before closing. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she just didn’t care.
Whatever her story was, TMK lost out on a kitchen today. Having received other estimates from other companies, TMK came highly recommended by a few different friends who’d used them. Based on these recommendations, had TMK been in line with the other estimates, we’d have gone with them.
I hope for their sake, that our experience was an anomaly. However, if this is how they treat every person that walks through the door, I don’t know how they’re still in business. It’s too bad — we really liked what we saw in the time that we were there.

I am a general contractor that works with this company all the time. They are excellent across the board. Design, price and installation are important with us and these guys go the extra mile to keep the client happy. I highly recommend Mike and his team.

If you read my review I never said I went there expecting the price quoted from your add, I never even inquired about that deal because of the layout I wanted, so your response doesn’t really apply to my comment AT ALL… What I said was your price was more than double for the same exact layout of Debut brand cabinets as somewhere else and therefore you did not get my business. Bottom line. Your store quoted be $ 9,000 and I got them for $ 3,900 elsewhere. Can’t claim that you don’t charge people for custom prices when it’s pretty black and white. People should know to look around.

Don’t waste your time. After a trip to their showroom we had someone come to our house to take photos, measurements of the old kitchen, and discuss a design. We never heard from them after that. My husband called and left several messages asking when the design would be ready and they just completely blew us off. They do have an impressive showroom, and the people were friendly there, but not enough for me to beg.
Also important to note that they are not contractors, which made the whole process a little confusing to me. They said they could recommend people to install the cabinets and plumbers, electricians, etc., but really it just seems like they’re the middle man. Or something.
