«What an odd and interesting little shop» I thought when I first walked in the door to this place. It’s a flower nursery, a pet/bird feeder supply place and a little convenience type store with veggies and homemade items. Quite unique, really. I can’t say much for the bird feeder type stuff, except that we saw one bird feeder that was nice, but expensive at $ 175.00 — my hubby could make something just as nice for a probably a fraction of the price, but I imagine for people like me who don’t have the capacity for a carpenter’s thumb, it would work. And the florist part is something that interests the hubby. We haven’t yet paid to much attention to that because we have enough plants/flowers at this time, but it’s good to know it’s there. We go mainly for the food. Some pluses/notes: PEI potatoes — PEI potatoes are the best. I haven’t seen them in many places around New England, so this is a treat. Over this past summer, the hubby has loved especially the cherries here, and at pretty competitive prices from other places. We’ve had no problems with produce items turning quickly as another review had mentioned. We *love* the selection of their own made salsa’s, jams, spices, etc. I have not had the chance yet but would love to and will, try some of their baked items… they look scrumptious and we will probably get some of those for entertaining. We like the fact that we are able to support a local business vs. your usual Stop & Shop, WalMart, etc… Only one neg we found so far — their deli turkey. Cheap price, but clearly processed and yuck. I can’t speak for the rest of their deli meat as we go elsewhere, but it’s worth mentioning. They have a nice pepperoni stick that’s quite tasty, however. I’ve had no issue with the employees as previous reviews had mentioned — everyone we’ve dealt with was quite nice. A cute little store — really, that’s the best way to describe it. As others have said, you can’t get all your grocery shopping done here, but for those quick staples you need, it’s a good place to go to. A plus for the area.

Best whoopee pie’s I’ve ever had. Friendly people, but the produce isn’t the freshest.

This is a great little spot with a little bit of everything. Full deli that makes great sandwiches to go, all kinds of produce, some limited frozen foods and dairy/pkgd meats etc. and a decent convenience store size selection of groceries. They have a lot of upper scale items and their own house branded sauces, and other jarred goods, a small pet supply section and many outdoor plants and stuff. Not a place to do your regular shopping but a great supplement store and if unexpected guests are coming you can run in and out of here quickly and get everything you need to feed them. 3 stars for service which is efficient and competent but not friendly or welcoming. They are there and will take car of you but don’t expect any warm conversation. I forced the scowl faced girl working here into some friendly chit chat and she softened up some but it was truly an effort.
