No complaints with this place. Love the food. Always seems fresh and it’s always tasty. Nom nom

At first I thought this buffet was better than Hudson buffet in Fishkill but then realized ehhhhh they’re both the same. Food is okay. It definitely has a larger dining area. The service is always friendly and nice. The price is reasonable and the ambiance is nothing special but it’s at least clean.

We stop coming here few years ago because the employees and the woman at the register are unfriendly and rude which makes the eating experience a bit unpleasant. When it comes down to it you go to one buffet you pretty much gone to all of them since the food taste the same and it all left overs from the previous night and reheated for the next day for lunch and dinner. So you’re paying 12.50 for food from the other night.

The worst Chinese-American Buffet in the area, and there are a lot of them.

I came in here expecting to see more good reviews, since this place used to be better(IMO), but it looks like others have been experiencing for a long while, what I did last night. I went there lastnight, a Tuesday, and forked over $ 13($ 12 plus tax) for the buffet(it is cheaper for lunch). I have been here many times, and have had overall 4 star experiences in the past. This time, they insisted on seating me right next to some foreign sounding hillbilly rednecks. This wouldn’t be a problem, but one of the guys was sprawled out in his side of the booth with his arm holding onto the other side of my booth. From what I understand, Asians enjoy eating with strangers in close quarters; maybe someday they will learn that many Americans don’t want to be next to other people, let alone redneck strangers with their arms invading your booth. I noticed them doing this again and again with guests who came after I got there; they sat them right next to other customers, when more secluded tables and booths were available. Anyway, on to the food. Sushi was OK, but poor selection and almost all just vegetable sushi(no rolls with fish and very few with cream cheese). Drenching the rolls in wasabi, spicy mayo(the orange sauce in a bottle) and ginger helped. I noticed the sushi rolls didn’t hold together as well as usual, rice ralling off onto my plate, pieces breaking apart on the buffet when I tried to separate them, etc. The hot fried food, noodles etc. were good, but I try not to eat TOO much of this stuff. My favorite item(besides the sushi when they have the good kinds and made well) would have to be the banana pudding on the fruit bar(that’s what I call it at least). When I went up for it, there was maybe a small portion’s worth, which I took all of, thinking(hoping??) they would replace it with a new tray. I stayed another half hour, and they never replaced the banana pudding. I found this to be true of other items too. I’m not big into the soups, but I tried the wanton soup this time. They have it setup with the broth in one big serving hot bowl, and the wantons in another. I took both steamed wantons and the fried wantons. The wantons were OK, but the broth was definitely suspect. This also went for some of the sauces on the chinese dishes(mainly fried chicken items); the sauces smelled and tasted different from what I expected. The BBQ spare ribs were good, though they had probably been on the buffet for hours. The hot tea was also suspect(didn’t taste like tea, not even one of the weird asian teas). Overall, the value was suspect for what was on the buffet. I don’t remember the lunch buffet being much different, though some of the meats, fish and shrimp dishes I didn’t bother trying could’ve been excluded from the lunch menu. The men’s room, when I went in there, was clean for a change. It didn’t smell or look like a sewer, like it has in the past.

This place is what it is. Decent food at a decent price. There are some gems in there. I liked the coconut shrimp, the sweet and sour chicken, and the chicken teriyaki. Did not try the sushi, but salad bar was fresh. It’s worth a shot. Better than most Chinese places in the area. Way less greasy.

You pay for your meal when you walk in the door. I knew something was wrong then but I ignored my gut feeling and went in anyway. The food SUCKED hairy Panda balls. Please take that warning and stay away. The place is nice but the food is sub par at best. The rice was maybe a cousin of rice. There was a slab of unidentified«meat» on one of the buffet bars. Nothing tasted like it was supposed to. Lesson learned.

I must say that though not great everything was fresh, and my wife enjoyed the crab legs, we’ve been coming here since it was The Hometown Buffet when it was Very good… Maybe didn’t hurt we came early on a Saturday. We’ll be back to follow up

My boyfriend and I went to eat there a couple of days ago. The sushi was ok but the BBQ chicken? was HORRIBLE! The sauce was gross and the inside of the chicken was spongy! 12 hours later my boyfriend had food poisoning

The food is at most, average. It’s typical Chinese buffet style food. The only difference is that besides Chinese they have a Hibachi and an «American» food area, which consists of only a couple of different items. The dessert is definitely scarce, having only a couple cookies and an ice cream machine that is gross and was low on.“mixture” when we went last. The wait staff is very unfriendly. The cashier barely batted us an eye when we checked in to eat. We had to wait for someone and they give you a maximum of two hours when we sat down. About a half an hour later and multiple nasty looks from the waitresses our third party member arrived. We sat down and ate with even more looks from the waitresses, like they didn’t even want us to be there. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the buffet, and probably won’t be back any time soon.

The quality of food is average. However, if you are looking for value and a variety, this is a great place to get it.

This buffet has opened where Hometown Buffet used to be. It’s very definitely leaning toward Asian, with a very nice sushi selection– unique, but limited on the line, tho there is a sushi chef standing right there. There are also more«American» favorites, and a decent salad bar. The dessert selection was a bit lacking — but DH& I stopped there after a long evening of car shopping, so we were pleased. We’ll probably be back there on round 2 of the car search, so I’ll update then
