Specialties
We sell, install & repair various electronic devices, including computers, 2-way business & public safety radios, CB & ham radios, police & fire scanners, audio & video equipment, public address systems and vehicle security systems. We also stock a large inventory of electronic accessories related to these devices. We’ve been in business since 1972 & have knowledge & experience that our competitors can only dream of matching. Above all, our reputation for honesty & fairness speaks for itself.
History
Established in 1972.
Starting in the attic of a rented 2-family house, then moving to the basement of a leased single-family home, we moved again, this time to a storefront in Fair Lawn, NJ in 1975. Having outgrown that facility, we moved to a larger commercial space in 1998. However, that building was sold to an investor whose business practices were unethical, so we relocated once more (in 2008), this time to our present storefront location in Wanaque, NJ.
Meet the Business Owner
David E.
Business Owner
I received my first ham radio license in 1961. Co-founder of our high school radio club, I taught ham radio to my classmates, as well as at a summer camp after graduation. After serving a four-year hitch in the US Air Force, I entered the business world, working for several electronics firms before establishing Community Communications, first as a proprietorship, then a corporation & finally as a Limited Liability Company. Beside my amateur radio license, I also hold a General (formerly First-Class) Commercial Radiotelegraph Operator license with ship radar endorsement and certifications to teach electronics & computers in NJ.
