I work in Waltham and date a girl in Waltham. I kept passing Pizzi’s farm and went there for ice cream once which was really good. I have an hour for lunch so usually either go to the gym at work and then grab something from Rebecca’s Café which is the work cafeteria which is awful or I go to D’Angelos to grab a sandwich which is both unhealthy and also not great but close to Dunkins so I can get the mid-day coffee if needed. My other option is Wagon Wheel, although it is really really good, it is a little bit further(not much) than I want to travel on lunch. I decided to try out Pizzi’s for lunch last week and I got the Cubano, which was great. An old boss said what really makes a sandwich is good bread, and that was right in this case. The bread was awesome, there was a good amount of meat and cheese. I came back to write a review but saw a couple of bad reviews and figured I would try it out this week and see if it was just as good or if the reviews were right. This time I got the Rajun Cajun, I figured I would try something different to rate it off of. Again this place was unreal, bread tasted great again. The amount of meat they put on the sandwich was a good amount as well. The $ 8 that someone was bitching about below, I am completely fine with paying considering I got a great sandwich and a drink for about $ 10(including tax). When I go to D’Angelos or Subway, I pay the same amount and do get a bag of chips but the quality of sandwich is 1,000x’s better at Pizzis than at both D’Angelos and Subway. Also I am about 300lbs and when I eat a medium sandwich from D’Angelos or a Footlong at Subway, I usually ask myself, why the f*** did I eat that? So my final thoughts — Pizzi’s 5 stars because of their quality and the sandwich leaves me full every time I’ve been. They have tons of options and not just sandwiches, they have wraps and also I believe they do salads. I will most likely make this the place I go when I want to slack on my workout and grab a sandwich instead.

I am a huge fan of the paninis — especially the margherita. Always looking for an excuse to be in Waltham around lunch time. I will agree with some other reviewers that the service is not exactly friendly at the sandwich making counter. I order on line now — easier and the cashier is usually friendly.

Little more than a drizzle of hot fudge on the«sundae“I ordered.(I put«sundae» in quotes because the sad excuse that I received for one was in no way, shape, or form a legitimate sundae.) Only reason this place isn’t getting one star was that the fro yo was tasty. But a failure to show me the love on the topping front means my experience was mediocre at best. I don’t plan on returning.

Great ice cream. Generally good sandwiches. Good salads when they’re made fresh with the proper lettuce(they sometimes use prepackaged iceberg when they’re busy and don’t have time to chop romaine as in the description). Lots of outdoor seating. Spotty service. Some very helpful people behind the counter and a couple real grumps, thus the meh rating.

I went to Pizzi Farm for the first time this week and it will probably be the last. I walked up to the deli counter and the server never greeted me or even made eye contact. I placed an order for a grilled chicken sandwich. The server asked me what I wanted on it, but did not ask me what kind of bread I wanted it on. She then proceeded to take some cold chicken strips out of plastic wrap and put it on the bread with the toppings I ordered. I ordered American cheese and they gave me just one slice and served up the sandwich cold. They never even offered to heat it up or toast it for me. If I wanted cold chicken, I would eat leftovers from my refrigerator at home. When I go to a restaurant and order grilled chicken, I expect it to be warm. Who wants cold chicken for lunch? The sandwich cost me $ 8 plus tax. For that price, it should come with a bag of chips and a drink. After this poor experience, I see no reason to ever go back.

Best ice cream I’ve had in MA(and I’m still looking to top it!). Cute mom and pop style shop. The serving size and price are very fair, and the unique flavors are the best. No need for toppings or fillers here! Their lunch during the day is also good. I recommend the pig and fig sandwich(prosciutto).

A great local summer stop with plenty of outdoor seating and some delicious ice cream. Went here with my girlfriend and we both were very satisfied. They also have a little market of their own homegrown spices, sauces, and other odds and ends. Definitely worth checking out!

This review is based on my entire experience at Pizzi Farms. The food? I really like their sandwiches. They are a little on the small side for the price you pay, but they’re delicious. The bread has a wonderful chew and taste unlike many other local places that sell subs. I’ve never had their ice cream so Im hoping to review when the weather is better. The service? Ugh. Terrible. Coming from a customer service-retail background, I expect common courtesy & politeness. But every time I visit here, the food workers seemed to be bothered that Im actually there trying to buy a sandwich. The scowl on the sandwich makers face today just reminded me why they dont get more of my business. Here’s a simple way to greet a customer who just walked in when its not busy: Hi! Do you need a moment to check out our menu? We have panini’s, specialty sandwiches or make your own. Oh, and Hot Dogs. NOT:(3 seconds after approaching the counter): what can I get for you? Sell your sandwiches. Convince me why I should get one or another. Offer ideas. Speak to me in a friendly voice. Simple retail philosophies. And the store? What a complete waste of space on useless crap. This place would be much better without all the overpriced packaged goods nobody buys. Offer more snacks, drinks, seating… maybe a little more variety of food! So much floor space is wasted on stuff they dont need.

I love Pizzi — Such a cute farmstand, with BOMB sandwiches! Awesome baked goods, random sweets and treats. Staff is always very friendly, and a great spot to take family for ice cream during warmer weather!

I come here almost exclusively for ice cream. They have great, classic flavors. Gets pretty busy in the summer evenings, sometimes even overrun with families and kids. I really, really like that they fill partial gas canisters here. We grill a lot and I take in our canister every couple of months to be sure the grill can be operated at any time.

I had the misfortune of coming to Pizzi Farm Market, Deli & Ice Cream Shoppe at the end of December(whoops — no ice cream!) When I walked in, I was greeted with«You want a sandwich? Well, we’re out of almost everything because we’re closing for two weeks.» I answered«I’m sure it’s only the best that’s left!» Worse still, there was — rather unexpectedly — no place to sit. Anywhere. That’s right, they sell sandwiches, fancy root beer and cream sodas, cute custom snack items, etc. Yet, you are expected to just walk away with it to what, your car? Also, the bathroom was(a) not exactly public and(b) the door did not shut. No lock on it. At all. Not sure what is so complicated about setting up a few picnic tables and having a couple of port-a-potties available, you know, for the people who might want to sit down and stay awhile. So to speak. Overall, a bizarre business model.

This place is hit or miss but when it hits, its a HOMERUN! I love any and all of the hot dogs especially for the price. I was not a fan of the buffalo chicken or then honey mustard(which was more like ghost pepper hot sauce). Cheap and fast(once you get the rush times down) lunch option if you work around Waltham! P. S.- They would have gotten a 4 but our office used to use them for catering every Friday and it was terrible. Going in is a much better taste and more accurate of the good food they produce.

The staff is wonderful and the sandwiches are so delicious. Fresh as can be. We love taking the kids for ice-cream. They have an abundance of seating and the kids and hang out while the adults relax…

I have a dirty secret. My favorite summahtime guilty pleasure is bleach-white soft-serve, lacquered with shiny red cherry dip. Don’t get me wrong, I love to pretend I’m a sophisticated foodie, just like everyone else here. I would love to say that I just won’t eat anything until the wait staff provides me with an in-depth biography of every single ingredient, but it just isn’t the case. Sometimes, all I want is some dirty motherfucking ice cream in a cardboard cone. This was my first trip to Pizzi Farm, and I could not have been happier. Judging by my quick google search, this appears to be the ONLY place in or around Waltham, that is still willing to buck the foodie trend, and proudly offer ice cream dipped in delicious cherry(or chocolate) flavored wax. I can’t speak about anything else on the menu, but the ice cream I got lived up to every delicious, and dirty expectation I had. I was really happy to find this place, and I have already been back. We were there on a pretty busy night, and the kids working the ice cream window were pleasant, and quick to deliver up the goods. There was plenty of seating, and we happened to be there on a night when they were showing outdoor movies on a big screen, which was a nice surprise.

A great neighborhood hangout spot, with good ice cream and yogurt flavors and a friendly staff.

THEBUFFCHICKSTINKS! They’ve got good sandwiches overall and I highly recommend,(idk what they’d say to a Wagon Wheel sandwich though, thats a 5) but the buffalo chicken was just not good. It was sliced ‘chicken’ turkey? with buffalo sauce on a sesame bun. Cold. being cold is one fine, the bun i can get over, but the freaking sliced cold cut meat? come on, show some pride. Its a good place and good sandwiches but that one makes me shake my head

I grew up around here and was so excited to see the changes when I moved back. The ice cream is good and the staff is so nice. I have not been inside yet but will update when I do. Bring the kids and let them run off energy in the fenced play area.

Cute little store filled with sweets, sandwiches and a few groceries. You think everything is homemade when you walk in, but a lot of it is packaged, I believe. It’s still good. Went inside and bought a peach pound cake that was delicious. You have to go outside to get to the ice cream, which of course I did. This ice cream is seriously good. It’s fresh and homemade for sure. I loved it. I had a sundae with two scoops, some fudge, walnuts and whipped cream. YUM. I couldn’t even eat it all. It’s a cute place. I’m glad I stopped by, their stuff is great.

During a business trip to the Boston area we ordered lunch from here. My colleague had some sort of meat Italian sandwich and a chilli. I had a tuna melt and a salad. I thought a tuna melt would be tuna and cheese, instead it was a tuna salad and cheese served hot. It was a really weird combination, but it was still good. The salad was just iceberg lettuce with a few garnishes. Not very good. Overall the prices were reasonable and the pickup was quick. Their online site was easy to order on. Biggest issue: they don’t sell deli-style big pickles!!!
