I had the corned beef hash benedict, which combines two of my favorite breakfast dishes. Unfortunately, the corned beef tasted like it was from a can of Libby’s, and the hollandaise sauce for the eggs benedict was tasteless. Corned beef + Eggs Benedict is still a great concept, but was not executed well here. I do like the warm, quaint décor of the restaurant, as well as the service.

HELLO i Went to this place for breakfast anad it was pretty good i followed up with lunch and was disappointed. the house salad was wilted and the tomatoes mushy as uf they had been dittung around un the fridge for two days The chicken pie which came highly recommended by the waittress, was steangely not a chicken pie at all. it was just some so so cream sauce with chicken thrown in with a few carrots. there was no crist on the bottom, or sides juat a puff patry layer baked separately and gingerly placwd ob top i complained o the waittress and she was nice enough to tae it off the billl withoit a fuss. If the owner contacts né with an improvement plan for the dish i will remove this review

My boyfriend and I really wanted breakfast this morning. I looked up places for good breakfast in the area, and Joseph’s 2 kept coming up so we decided to try it. First off, the parking lot is horrible. It’s not easy to get in and out of. When we were finally able to get a spot we went inside and although it was crowded there were tables available. Three waitresses walked by us with not saying hello or anything yet there was a please wait to be seated sign. We saw a gentleman getting menus for a table so thought he would seat us, but it turned out he was a patron and did not work there. After seeing that and being ignored by the rude staff we decided to leave and will not return.

My partner and I walked into this place to have brunch today and were greeted with«stares» from the staff that worked at this place. There was a large sign that read«PLEASEWAITTOBESEATED.» We waited for over 5 minutes and not once did any person on the staff acknowledge that we were waiting-despite direct eye contact being made. There was also a gentlemen from Harvard Medical Center that walked in right after us. All three of us were ignored-consequently, we all walked out. I am a fan of good food, but I refuse to support businesses that do not work to treat their patrons right. It would have been very simple to say«we will be right with you,» or something to that effect-most especially since there were 4 empty tables in plain sight. I will not come back here on principle.

«The spot» to have breakfast in Waltham. Award winning, legendary family run. I first heard this place through friend suggestion. Month later I came back and I remembered how good it actually is. About a dozen parking just outside, and you can also park by McDonald. It is a little old from outside(and inside), and don’t trust the sign which always saying open. I don’t know what is their secret recipe(probably the sauce), and their dishes are just so good with that right touch. The star down for the service. Bad quality with every single one of them. Update: really bad service. Another star down.

Have been going to Joseph’s since before I can remember– definitely a regular. I decided to write this today because during our visit Joseph himself was greeting customers and checking in on our meals… I thought this was really nice. Joseph’s is a big hit in Waltham; I dare to say the most popular breakfast joint. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I always get breakfast regardless of the time of day(*they do breakfast all day). It feels homemade and is consistently delicious. Always hits the spot. The only caveats are that parking is quite limited and lines tend to be very long on the weekend. It’s better to get there early. Also, the interior doesn’t seem like it has been upgraded in quite some time, but believe me, this does not effect the quality of food or service in the least. Joseph’s is the best spot in Waltham. Definitely give it a try. You won’t regret it.

Quality brunch — fast and polite service, killer cranberry pancakes. Stumbled upon this place by mistake and it really hit the spot. Definitely worth stopping by

So good. Just like back home! Will be back for sure. Was clean and staff very sweet. Also, love the great conversation with the nice family sitting next to us.

Food was decent. Extremely small and very loud inside. Parking is very limited and the wait staff are rude and surly.

Solid for breakfast. 6−8am specials really a great value. Daughter’s French toast special was yumm! I had eggs over medium, ham and toast. Solid but nothing special. Sure beats the«eggs» at the local coffee place(won’t name). Those taste like fake eggs.

Great spot for breakfast.(I have never tried any other meal there.) It is a down home spot in a location that feels like it has been around for years — and survived! I tend to eat eggs, which are nicely done. But, the array of pancakes was excellent. I recently brought a business visitor here. I could have picked a fancy spot, like a nearby hotel. But, I figured that they had been on the road too much and could use something that felt like it was home grown. It worked, they loved it. As was mentioned by other reviews, the parking is extremely limited and the wait can be long. But, once you are seated, the service is fast and friendly. The waitresses are constantly checking on you to make sure that you are happy. I never feel rushed.

Best breakfast I’ve had in years. And super good value. Definitely 5 stars. Go for the hungry man breakfast or French toast. Heaven.

Went here with two friends. Had very over poached eggs on hash that was flattened to about 1⁄8 of an inch. The hash was all crust and I can see why someone might like it that way but I like the more traditional hash with a bit of substance. The eggs were unforgivable though, might as well have ordered them hard boiled. It was an older style restaurant with a very friendly wait staff. Will try Joseph’s again.

A very homely restaurant and wonderfully cooked food and easy, comfortable service. Some of the typical new england dishes can be found on the menu. I tried the chicken pot pie and it was well made. The pastry on top of the pie was fluffy and just melted in the mouth. It serves breakfast menu all day so thats a delight and the lunch menu is good to satisfy all appetite and interest. I would visit soon time and again. The only downside is parking! there are like 6 spots in front where you could park but there are few spots on street that you could use.

Great spot for breakfast and lunch in Waltham. Parking is very limited and there is usually a wait to be seated, but it is worth the wait. Your best time to go on the weekends would be around 1:00 pm when lunch starts up. Staff is super friendly and quick, our waitress was super nice and always refilling our coffee. The prices are great, I find them to be about $ 3 – 5 cheaper per meal than other breakfast places in the area. For example I can get a large combo breakfast at In a Pickle(without toast) for $ 12, while Joseph’s has the same meal including toast for $ 9…great deal! Come very early or around 1:00pm for immediate seating and parking. Note that there is a parking lot in McDonalds, but you will be towed if you park there. They do own four parking spots that line up with their trash bins, you can park here as there are no signs that state«McDonalds parking only». Also when it is busy make sure you are aware of who is ahead of you, they do not take names down so it is an active line queue to be seated. Seat space for waiting is limited, so if you do come with someone who cannot stand for long periods of time, you will need to come at off hours.

Joseph Two’s is a Waltham institution and I am not sure how I haven’t reviewed it yet(I swear I have). Simply put this is the place that Waltham residents go if they want a quality, fast, and cheap breakfast or brunch. The food is consistent and has been for the past 8 years since I’ve been going there. The waitstaff is friendly and they always get you seated as quickly as possible to accommodate the large amount of people that flood this small restaurant on weekends.

A group of us came here for lunch. The place wasn’t full and there were at least 5 empty tables. However, the place was in disarray and people were walking out due to the service. We also found the service to be very disorganized during our meal. The drinks came out at different times as did food such as soups which should come before the meal. The saving grace is that meals are very, very cheap. The quality is typical diner. The food is far from fancy — very basic Caesar salad, standard cheese omelet, decent lunch specials. The soups were the highlight of the meal. The corn chowder was very good. You can also get soups to go in quart size containers. Overall, a solid three star place.

small, family breakfast joint with AMAZING food. I’m never the type of person to go out to breakfast when I know I can probably whip something up that’s cooked with more love at home, but Joe II’s makes me feel like I’m visiting my grandfather’s kitchen on a Sunday morning. Every velvety bite of food is packed with flavor. reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars: the service could use some work. theres not a lot of room to wait for a seat so it almost feels like whoever pushes their way to the front gets seated first, instead of first come/first served. also the waitress was a little bit spacey in the noggin… she kept trying to push gift certificates on us after we repeatedly said no. and I’m talking like, «more water? gift certificate?» like no thank you ma’am please just let me eat my meal in peace. she did however offer my roommate her phone charger, so I got over it. Try the bananas foster french toast. you’ll die. and then come back to life a few hours after the food coma.

What brings down my rating is the lack of parking, the strange waiting line that you have to guess or ask someone in line how it works. And it is SOLOUDHERE when it’s crowded. Everyone is stuffed in there like cattle. Very small place. Also, my toast was really burnt, and my veggie omelet was missing the home fries. There’s one waitstaff person who is very nice, but when you order orange juice, she only asks if you want regular or fresh squeezed. I had no idea they had three different sizes until another wait staffer asked me. Always brought me a large. Can you say up-sell? Not the cleanest place, rugs are very dirty. But I think the food is above average… but pricey!
