Joe’s a nice guy, but he is insanely expensive compared to other master electricians in my area. Also, one of his apprentices ran a 15 amp wire to a 20 amp fuse in my house, he could have started a fire and Joe didn’t catch it… I didn’t know till I hired another electrician some time later.

Joseph (owner) was extremely honest from the very get go. He gave me a rough ball park quote over the phone that was reasonable and offered to come out and do a real estimate for free.
Unlike many other places I called where the estimate is only «free» when you have them do the work immediately after they do the estimate (the service fee is credited toward the work fee), Joseph came to estimate completely for free, no strings attached.
The first weekend he came out to do the estimate he even offered to do some simple things outside of the main job I asked him to estimate completely for free, just because it’s something he knew he could do easily and I could not (no tools, don’t have long enough ladder).
I also asked him to do a separate estimate while he was at my unit estimating the installation of a plug, for converting the back stairway’s lights (which are on ²⁴⁄₇ since there are no windows) to using switches or motion sensing lights. He was extremely honest and said the job isn’t worth quoting because we’ll never spend enough on light bulbs to worth the cost of wiring for switches or motion sensors.
His complete honesty put me at ease, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who needs electrical work.
