Talamo Hatch Laser Eye Consultants was among one of the first ophthalmology practices in New England to offer and perform Refractive Laser Cataract Surgery.Dr. Talamo has practiced ophthalmic surgery in greater Boston for over 20 years since the completion of his medical training at Johns Hopkins and Harvard. He is the Managing Partner of Talamo Hatch Laser Eye Consultants and Medical Director of Surgisite Boston, an ambulatory eye surgery center in Waltham, MA with over 60 ophthalmologists on staff. He is a longtime member of the medical staff at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. He has been named as a «top doctor» by Boston magazine and repeatedly as one of the «Best Doctors in America» by Best Doctors, a non-​profit organization that ranks and recommends physicians locally and nationwide.

Founder of Talamo Hatch Laser Eye Consultants, Dr. Talamo is well known regionally, nationally and internationally as a leader, innovator and educator in the field of refractive surgery. He was the first surgeon in MA to perform all-​laser LASIK utilizing the femtosecond laser and is considered an expert on the subject of emerging technologies for refractive cataract surgery.

As a highly experienced refractive, cataract, and corneal transplant surgeon, Dr. Jonathan Talamo has been performing laser vision correction surgery since 1990, when he became one of the first ophthalmologists in the United States to perform excimer laser surgery.
