Hertz Rent A Car

I have a great review to give to Sean Nolan, the manager at 163 High Street Waltham, MA 2 453. This is a delayed review, nearly two months old, so I am sorry about the delay! But Sean was PHENOMENAL and so caring. My sister drove from Fargo to Boston w/​a Hertz rental, and not only did he make returning everything easy, he also directed us to the nearest subway stop. Further, since it started raining he gave us a ride, without us asking, to the stop since it was a little over a mile! Nothing but great things to say about Sean Nolan.

Fast, efficient, friendly. Loved the staff, they went out of their way to take us back to our hotel at no cost and even made a pit stop for us to purchase some spirits. Definitely worth every penny. Didn’t get his name but the manager was amazing!

Filthy filthy car. Guy me saying he’d be right back 15 minutes later I’m walking through the garage just shouting for somebody’s attention no one is there he drive back that he had to get gas meantime I’m late for my appointment. Car I was given was filthy. Bird shxx on the door handle. The passenger side was even worse! Disgusting I’m done with Hertz! I’m a president’s gold member with Hertz.

Office was dirty, and so was my car on the inside and outside. Then I tried calling all afternoon to see about extending my rental and a day no one would answer. I would avoid this place at all cost

There are simply not enough stars here Vlad, David, and Tasheka were personable, enjoyable, warm — did I mention enjoyable? They picked me up, took care of me, and I was off and running aaaaand then… I came back 1 minute after closing to exchange the car… did they hem? Did they haw? Heck no! Effusive friendliness, gracious greetings. I am satisfied with my services ;)

I rented a car a couple of weeks ago from this Hertz location and it had to be the worst rental experience of my life.
I booked the rental car the day before like I always do, so I can be in and out with no hassle.
YEA well not at this location !!!
I arrived at 8:15 the doors were not even open, i actually had to knock on the door for them to even let me in.
The office like others mentioned is VERY dirty and there is food everywhere on the desks. There were 3 employees in there — all pretty much sitting around and USELESS.
Their computers were not up and running, they could not find my booking and one of the guys that helped me with my order, it seemed to be to much of a hassle for him to actually help me. He kept on going back and forth to his desk, to drink his ice coffee and check his personal phone. THIS IS UNEXEPTABLE !
If you know you have a customer coming in at 8:15 the front doors should be open and your computers should be up and running and the bookings should be ready to go.
Finally after 30 minutes he decided that he had to enter if manually on a form… !!!
The other guy that worked there finally got of his chair and informed me he would go check on the rental car and clean it etc.
After another 30 minutes of waiting, he comes back and told me the car was all set ready to go. It was a Toyota Corolla — not even what I requested and completely filthy.
The outside was not even washed and it looked like someone drove thru the mud with it. Top to bottom covered in brown dirt. Not vacuumed inside, dirt all over the floor and there was FOOD all between the seats.
I did not had time or the energy to address it at the moment nor did I want to deal with such unprofessional people so I drove off !
I will never ever rent a car from this location again and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Had a lousy experience with getting a rental in relation to an insurance rental while having work done on my car.
1. They delivered the wrong car
2. Exchanged it for another car that was also not what I had asked for
3. Car was filthy
4. Agent was unhelpful and seemed ignorant of how to do his job
5. The office was filthy with food sitting on top of paperwork
6. It took over an hour and a half to complete what should have been a simple rental.
7. Manager tried to sell me insurance that was already covered.
Hertz has fallen a long way, since it was the «number one» rental company.
I would never recommend this rental office to anyone.

What a place, friendly services. Sean stayed half an hour late cause I forgot my credit card at home. what a guy. I like this place.

Terrible customer service, will not return, will not recommend.

I recently rented a car from this office for the first time and it will be my last. There were 4 guys working in the same space and it had a bachelor pad vibe to it. The office was filthy, they had fast food trash and half consumed drinks all over their desks and the office stuck of sweat and dirty socks. While I was picking up my vehicle I saw three of those winter flies you see sometimes… you know the ones… the kind that survive into the winter season longer than they should have so they are plump and slow and fly around at half speed in a sort of daze? Yeah well these three flies were flying around the front desk and walking on the counter where I was signing the paperwork and they weren’t afraid of me at all. I swear I thought they were trained flies or pets of the guys who worked there because they would walk up to me, look up at me for a second, tilt their head and then turn their back to me to explore the stains on the counter. I didn’t want to kill them (because I try not to kill bugs) but also because I felt like I was intruding on them and not the other way around.
Anyway…they guys were friendly enough and knew what they were doing but the guy who wrote up my paperwork was more than a little disheveled. At first glance he appeared to be well groomed until I noticed his fingernails. They were caked to the top with dirt. Black dirt! I have never seen that much dirt in someones fingernail before in my life. I didn’t want to know how someones could get that dirty working in an office but I knew that it wasn’t from cleaning the place or the cars (more on the car in a second). Gross! I couldn’t wait to get into the car and speed away from the stench, the flies and the guy with the fingernails until I actually got to the car.
The car… despite being a 2013 model… looked like it was 13 years old. It had dings and scratches all over it and a huge gouge on the trunk lid. It had so much damage that I was concerned that there was no way they could have recorded it all and therefore would blame some of it on me. The guy who showed me the car assured me that they knew the damage the car had (and I was fairly sure they didn’t care) so I was ok with taking it. In addition to the damage, the car was dirty. There were what looked like dirt smudges and muddy streaks where they attempted to clean the drivers side of the car but they must have said «F it» and stopped mid way. I swear a five year old boy could have done a better job cleaning the car than they did on this car. At this point I had enough and just said thank you and got in to drive away. That’s when the stink hit me. It smelled like someone had been sweating in the car while smoking Pall Malls and eating an Italian sub. There were more smudges and stains on the console (where they apparently wiped their hands from the Italian sub) and the rugs were soiled as well. They must have tried to spray some sort of cleaner to get rid of the smell but it only smelled like sweaty, smokey, Italian sub, fake flower smell. Ewww! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Unfortunately the pick up time was delayed’because we had too much to do at the office’. Not a good sign.
Disappointing action by a firm that claims to work on behalf of its customers

Always helpful, friendly, and as nice as they can be. Many rentals here. Sean is particularly helpful.

They were very friendly and helpful. Picked me up from my house and took me to get a car, helped me carry my things from my rental car to my own car when I finally picked it up from the shop, and waited to make sure everything was okay. 5 stars from me.
