I went in for a cleaning today. My teeth were stained very badly. I did not think there was any hope of having the discoloration fixed. After a cleaning with Tien my teeth are back to there natural color. She did an amazing job. I had to give her a compliment online. She also gave me good advise… to make sure I brush my teeth DIRECTLY after drinking morning coffee.

I feel very fortunate to have been the recipient of the outstanding professional dental care of Dr Meola and Associates. After receiving radiation treatment for oral cancer
9 years ago, my teeth and oral bone structures were devastated.
My ability to eat was greatly affected and I did not know if it would ever be restored.
Over many treatments, Dr Meola and his associate Dr. Govostes have used their expertise in maintaining, reconstructing and preserving my teeth and restoring my ability to chew and eat. All of the staff have gone above and beyond to be courteous and professional and have always made me feel very special. Dr. Govostes’s use of the latest technology to reconstruct my jaw bone in preparation for implants was truly amazing.
I look forward to biting into an ear of corn or an apple for the first time since my ordeal began. As a result of their perseverance, my quality of life has greatly improved.
Bravo to everyone involved and «thank you» falls so far short of my appreciation.

Dr Meola and staff should get 100+ stars !
The most personable, and experienced dentist ever, his staff is has the best customer service skills that is lacking in most everywhere you go. Dr Meola is most accommodating and has office hours that you can work around your working schedule. He is a dentist that YOU can talk to and your dental health is his utmost concern.
I never feel rushed or misdiagnosed and he makes sure you understand any treatment plan and his staff does a great job following up as well.
I would HIGHLY recommend this practice to ANYONE who wants to have a beautiful smile and a treatment plan which is affordable for your budget .

Dr. Meola is not only a great dentist but he is very understanding with it comes to your bill. I am not always able to afford my dental work but each and every time Dr. Meola has set me up with a payment plan that was more than comfortable for me. Even at times when i was late paying he and his staff worked with me. I have been to a few dentists in my life and his prices on everything are more than fair. As far as his work, its the best. I had crowns repaired and recently a tooth pulled and other things. Him and his staff make you feel comfortable and confident. I feel like I’m in my livingroom watching TV on the sofa while they are working on me. Would never think about going some place else!!!

Dr. Meola is the BEST! Guy is a perfectionist, I have been going for a few years now had Root canals and fillings done. Awesome work. was in pain one night Dr. Meola called me back at 9 at night and was even willing to meet me in the office on Easter Sunday to get me out of pain. Your teeth will not only feel better they will look better. He even helped me out with making payments. I am just a patient, not a relative or friend. If you want the best this guy is it, I cant say enough.

I go to the Brighton office and am a patient of Dr. Meola. Dr. Meola is the best dentist I’ve ever had. He is fantastic and loves what he does.

I had an annual cleaning on 5÷18÷12 and Sarah was my dental hygienist. She rocked! While I have always had terrific service at Meola’s office, Sarah was just above and beyond the norm. She has me flossing now! Her trick was saying «Why don’t you try flossing after lunch at work? 5 days a week is better than none and think of it this way, you’re getting paid to floss!» Thanks, Sarah!

I’ve had a really positive experience with Dr. Meola’s office. I’ve had two appointments so far with two more to come in the next few weeks, and I’ve found the staff to be almost exclusively helpful and really engaged (with one exception). In particular, hygenist Bernadette really impressed me with her patient care. Dr. Meola himself is very personable, knowledgeable, and a clear professional. They easily talk through findings, options, finances, etc. I’ve also been really impressed with their hours — very flexible with night and weekend hours. And, there is an odd tie-​in with skin care services in the office — but new dental patients get a voucher for a free facial ($ 75 value), which is a great bonus. I find the office to be comfortable, friendly, not intimidating — I highly recommend this practice.

I had been considering Invisalign or braces for a while. My usual dentist had said to expect to pay $ 12,000 (yes, that’s right – twelve thousand dollars. What can I say – my bottom teeth were a mess. I temporarily blamed my parents, but that didn’t decrease the price or solve my teeth issue). I had let it slide, as my top teeth were okay, and it was just my bottom teeth that were terrible.
I went to an older or «very mature» dentist who thought I might be able to do Invisalign, but he was more comfortable with the classic braces. Working with people all day, I was more comfortable with the thought of Invisalign and not at all comfortable with metal train rails overwhelming my mouth. Having experienced the usual traumatic teenage years, I was not about to revisit them with this trauma, too.
One of my friends recommended Dr. Meola’s office and I had my initial consult with Dr. Arandia, who works with Dr. Meola. Dr. Arandia was very efficient and thorough, taking x-​rays to check my teeth for decay prior to starting the process (they were fine). His manner was very calm and professional, but firm – good for me, the phobic dental patient that I am. His dental assistants are wonderful and have done everything from talking to me to holding my hand. Granted, there was nothing terrible about the process, but having to sit still with molding in your mouth and feeling like its sliding down your throat (it wasn’t) is less than pleasant, to say the least. After all the molds were done, I got my first trays and it went from there. The whole process was faster than I thought, it was great to have a new set of trays every two weeks and «see» where my teeth were going. My last tray looked nothing like my first, I was unaware how askew even my top teeth were! The downside is that the initial visits were frequent, but I guess it is the same with braces. My teeth HURT for the first few days of each new tray, but again, the same I hear of braces. The unexpected benefit was that I lost weight, as you cannot snack (no eating or drinking anything but water) with the trays in and it works best if you keep them in except ½ hour out for meals. I lost 30 pounds this way.
So, two years later, my teeth still look amazing and I still get compliments. I have seen Dr. Arandia regularly for cleanings and a couple small fillings; I switched to him after the Invisalign. I like the office and he is a good dentist for me. He listens to my concerns and talks me through things, the whole dental experience is as pleasant as it can be – still not my favorite thing to do. And I love his dental assistants.
I would highly recommend this office if you are considering invisalign – they make the whole process as easy and convenient as possible. And it cost much less than my first dentist’s assessment of $ 12,000 – it ended up costing $ 5,800 total. Less than half the price. *whew* Although a lot of money, it was worth it. And I didn’t have to deal with «metal mouth».
A warning – don’t lose your trays. (I did and a very nice restaurant owner had his staff dig it out of their garbage…) They cost $ to replace. And I have to wear retainers at night to keep my teeth looking good. The bottom one every night and the top one once a week – that’s just what works for me. Still worth it in the end for a smile that gets attention in a good way.

As more i go to that office as more i felt that it’s the right place for me. I had couple filling and one crown. The whole process was painless and went really smooth. Dr Meola is real artist. My crown look awesome. Thanks for great job! :)

Dr. Damian Meola is the best. Besides doing beautiful work, he has a wonderful chair-​side manner. In the past I had anxiety over going to the dentist, this is no longer an issue. This is saying a lot considering I am an anxious person in general. I recommend this awesome doctor without hesitation.
Another point that I think speaks very well of him is his staff, I see the same friendly faces year after year. It is so nice to go in and see everyone working together being friendly as they go through day. It creates a more relaxed vibe.
This is my review in brief. I really could go on and on about how strongly I feel that Dr. Damian Meola is the best of the best.

Ok, this dental office is fine. The two appointment option was explained to me immediately when I called to make an appointment. Basically, if you schedule a checkup/​cleaning as a new patient, they want to hold your appointment by charging you a $ 45 fee on a credit card to make sure you show up (when you do show, the $ 45 is refunded). If you don’t want to do that, you schedule 2 half hour appointments, one for xray and exam, the other for the cleaning. Since I live and work in Waltham and they have late hours, it was no skin off my back to come twice.
The office is clean, easy parking. Staff was nice and helped me promptly. The hygienist was also polite and I have no complaints. I saw Dr. Arandia for the exam and I didn’t really second guess any of the suggestions he gave me. They didn’t shove cosmetic procedures down my throat — they simply asked, are you happy with the way your teeth look and left it at that.
I have no problems with this place and plan on going back. My sister, a dental assistant, actually interviewed for a job here and really liked it and thought the employees were great (she didn’t take the offer due to the commute). There’s a lot more reviews on citysearch so look there for more opinions.

After moving to Waltham, I had to search for a new dentist. I’m definitely the twice-​a-​year-​cleanings, flosses-​fairly-​regularly, definitely-​brushes-​at-​least-​twice-​a-​day type of person. When I first went to make the appointment, I was told that as a new patient I had to make 2 appointments: one for the x-​ray and one for the cleaning. Why couldn’t they do both in the same day? I’ve never had to come in twice for a regular dentist’s checkup. That means getting out of work twice within a week just to get a normal cleaning. This irked me but I really needed a dentist close to home.
When I showed up to Dr. Meola’s office, things went fairly well until the x-​rays came back. He told me I had 8 (that’s right 8) cavities and that all of them would need to be filled on the SAME DAY. He told me to schedule a day with the receptionist and then handed me a flyer for the resident esthetitian.
I have several problems with this place. First of all, in my 23 years of life, I’ve had ONE cavity. After a quick cry (I take my teeth very seriously), I promptly called my old dentist and he had me come into his office on the weekend when I was home for a visit, free of charge. He was able to confirm that my old x-​rays and new x-​rays showed no trace of a single cavity, or even the early signs of a cavity.
I then found a second dentist to do my cleaning, who, when I told him the story, told me that my teeth were perfect and that this guy gives a bad rap to honest dentists.
What weirded me out the most was the fact that Dr. Meola was pushing his esthetician on me… what was an esthetician doing in a dentists’ office anyway? We’re in Waltham, not LA. How strange.
I’ve read reviews saying that Dr. Meola has helped them with major reconstructive cosmetic surgery to their teeth and gums… so maybe that’s who should be visiting, but if you’re looking for a normal cleaning, stay away.
