CCL Mechanical

We have used CCL mechanical for a number of years on a variety of plumbing adventures in our old house. The staff have always been polite and very good at explaining the situation. We recently had Keith C come out to repair a toilet — he was fantastic — fast at locating the problem, ordering parts and scheduling and performing the work… best of all he’s a delight to work with — a true gentleman! We may not look forward to another plumbing problem, but we will be happy to know we can call Keith C at CCL for the repair!

I had some bad experience with other company last year and this year and I was worried that I never will be able to find somebody honest. But my recent experience with CLL staff had changed my view completely. Jason is the guy came to check my AC unit. we have two separate units for two floors, the upstairs one failed to give cold air. Jason checked outside and quickly found the problem, told me the price (very reasonable) and replaced the bad part and fixed the problem, he also changed my filters and check the other unit making sure both of them work. Jason explained to me in detail and made sure that I had no further questions. I also wanted to thank Ross the receptionist who is very nice and help me in patience.
I will highly recommend CLL mechanics to you all, I will go with them for all my future
Plumbers, AC and heating problem.

We’ve hired CCL Mechnical several times in the past few years to service our air conditioner (for both annual maintenance visits and once when it broke down) and to do plumbing work, and generally they are great to work with – professional, easy to communicate with, and competent. Overall, I’d give them 4 – 5 stars. Despite their excellent service, I’ve never been motivated to write a review for them until recently, when Richie S. did our annual AC servicing. Richie is the service professional you’ve always dreamed of having. He called me beforehand to let me know he was on his way (and actually gave me enough lead time – 30 minutes – to make it home in time). A lot of companies say they’ll call you but don’t, or only give you 5 – 10 min warning, which isn’t that helpful. When Richie saw that we were a no-​shoe household, he put on show covers right away (I usually feel bad about asking service people to do this and was going to let it go, so I breathed a big sigh of relief when I didn’t have to ask). He pointed out an issue with our unit that he said all the other prior people who worked on our AC never mentioned or fixed, then spent extra time doing what he could to alleviate the issue. When I told him I might have to leave to pick up my daughter at school, he immediately offered to leave the house so I could lock it until I returned, or to work on things outside so he could continue to make progress. The timing worked out in the end with him not needing to stay in my house for the rest of the appointment, but I appreciated how he was so thoughtful and mindful of my time, immediately taking care of remaining paperwork so I didn’t need to return while he finished the servicing. On top of doing being very competent, Richie was the nicest, friendliest person… the kind that really brightens your day with his kindness and care. His professionalism and customer service is phenomenal and rare. If he’s not around in future years to do our annual servicing, I’m going to be really disappointed!

They come when they say they will, and they are knowledgable. Rose, on the phones in the office, is funny and a pleasure to deal with. Jason works really hard — he’s been here on a couple jobs — and is friendly, experienced, and conscientious. Can’t praise them enough.

This was a great experience. I wish all contractors were like these people. They were on time, explained everything, and demonstrated the product until my wife and I understood how to operate the air conditioner. Both Craig and Lennon were professional and a pleasure to work with. Rose was fantastic. She answered all my questions.

Waltham resident here and would highly recommend CCL Mechanical. Rose and Keith were honest and answered all my questions before doing any work in my HVAC system. They’ll be the first people I call for any future plumbing, heating and cooling work done to my place. Thanks again!

This is what service should be. Not only were they early but took the time to explain the system to me and look at some extras for me to make sure my unit was good to go for another 2 to 4 yrs.

Made the call to CCL Mechanical for a furnace valve leaking issue and got the appointment next day. They are professional, caring and detail oriented. Completed the work in a timely manner.

Called and booked an appointment with Rose. Jayson called first and arrived on time. He inspected my heating system and found only a few minor adjustments were necessary. He did not try and sell me something I didn’t need.

CCL installed our Rinnai tankless water heater that we had purchased on Amazon, thinking it would save us money. (It didn’t … if I could do it over, we’d buy through an authorized installer.) Everything was done according to schedule. In fact, everyone showed up early, from owner Chris’s assessment/​estimating visit to the installation day. Chris was thoughtful on where to place the unit for the best efficiency.
The installation was more complicated as we have low plaster ceilings in our basement and needed the venting ducts to be hidden so you won’t knock your gourd as you walk in. The guys stayed late to make sure everything was done properly and explained to me when finished. They left our place spotless.
Icing on the cake was Rose’s customer service. She was always responsive by phone and email, kept all details organized, helped us process our warranty and MassSave rebate ($ 800, woo hoo!), and did everything with the utmost courtesy and warmth. Chris: she’s your secret weapon.
CCL wasn’t necessarily the cheapest (more like middle of the road), but you get what you pay for and then some.

We found out our water heater needed to be replaced over the weekend, and we are so glad we chose CCL Mechanical to fix it. We called them and left a message since it was out of their normal business hours. They shortly called back and told us to turn off the hot water. They couldn’t get the new water heater over the weekend, but they said they would come by some time between 8AM and 10AM on Monday morning. They also gave me an estimate on the price. Keith C. showed up at right around 8AM. He walked me through everything he was going to do and called me whenever he needed me to do something like open up the faucets. He was extremely friendly and professional. After it was all done, the price came out to exactly what was quoted and we got a 10% discount for being first time customers. We haven’t had many plumbing issues yet, but I believe this is the first of many. I will definitely be calling CCL Mechanical for any of my other plumbing needs. Now, I can’t wait to take a hot shower!

These guys are great. Our gas forced air heat stopped working on MLK day. We noticed it and called around 2:00pm, and Rose answered our call. She was so sweet and friendly over the phone. We reported our problem, and she said she would be able to send someone out around 5 or 6, their «after-​hours,» which would incur a extra fee. Unfortunately for us since it was a bitter cold day, we agreed to have them come out, since our house was slowly getting colder by the minute.
CCL called us 20 – 25 minutes before arriving. When they got here we showed them to the basement. Their service was incredibly honest and helpful. Our issue was a blocked/​dirty sensor that was causing the heat to shut down. The tech guy taught us how to troubleshoot this issue in case it came up in the future by showing how to blow into a tube, and check a few other problem areas that would cause our furnace to stop working, if it wasn’t a part that broke. He was friendly, knowledgable, and very courteous. He kept apologizing for getting our floors dirty from tracking in snow, even though he was wearing the shoe booties over his workboots.
Even though we paid a good amount for the fix, we are thrilled with the service. If anything big goes wrong we will be sure to call CCL Mechanical again. Thank you!

I live in Waltham, and highly recommend CCL Mechanical for plumbing needs. At least for electric water heater work, as that is the experience that I have with them.
I called on a Monday afternoon about a leaky hot water heater, and set up an appointment for Thursday afternoon, as it was not an emergency. Rose was pleasant to deal with while booking the appointment.
The plumber that came was Keith, and he was very professional and trustworthy. I have not worked with any of the other plumbers at CCL, but I would recommend asking for Keith. He was honest about the current state of the water heater, and provided a quote for the best option for a replacement within minutes.
The company had the new water heater in hand, and it was brought over within the hour. The old one was swapped out with the new one, and Keith communicated with me along the way what was taking place, and anything I needed to do, such as open the hot water faucet, let the tub faucet run, etc.
My appointment was for 1:00pm, but Keith called to say he was available sooner, and ended up arriving around 12:00pm. All of his work was complete by 3 – 3:30pm, and hot water was running again by 5:30pm. And since we were a first time customer, we received a 10% discount which brought the total bill UNDER $ 1500. 55 gal electric water heater. That’s a pretty good deal.
I initially started with a place in Newton, but after my voicemail was not returned, and then additional phone tag, I looked elsewhere. Thankfully I found CCL, and thankfully Keith was the plumber that came that day. The company is based in Waltham, and I intend to use them again for any other work needed.

CCL has been easy to work with; Rose was great in scheduling an appointment, for service to my Rinai Combo (Heat & Hot Water), that fit my schedule. The day before the appointment Rose called and asked if I was open to moving it up in the day as they had an opening. Keith C. called 30 mins before the scheduled time, to let me know he would be there on time, and to verify that the time slot still worked for me. Keith was knowledgeable about my system and very courteous as well. I’m happy to have CCL as part of my home maintenance team!

First off they also have a location in Framingham and am I glad they do! With there fast, professional and courteous service they saved me twice in one week! One of them being the day before Thanksgiving! Huge drain clog then exactly a week later a broken kitchen faucet! Will never use anyone else and highly recommend! PS… I usually don’t do reviews

CCL installed a garbage disposal for me this week. I scheduled an appointment with a very courteous woman with no issues. The field technician came, quoted me the cost, and completed the job within an hour. He was very clean and courteous.
The only reason I would mark this company lower is that the price of installation seemed very high for what I considered a basic installation on a normal business day. I would have also liked if they could have given me a basic quote over the phone to better set my expectations. Note this has nothing to do with the people I worked with, as they were great.
They’re very good if price isn’t a factor for you.

Never received a quote!
Called CCL based on their good reviews and the fact that they are right up the road from our house. Looking to convert oil to gas and add more AC on the top levels of our place. They came out quick enough and Chris did a walkthrough and I thought we had a good idea of what was needed/​wanted. That was about a month ago. After several calls and what seems like the runaround, I still haven’t gotten a quote. Guess they are too busy for new business right up the road from their shop.
