Stop & Shop Gas

3 stars for ONLY: actually having some snacks sold at the gas window (as the Dedham S&S Gas Station location, which by the way I am going to be referencing a LOT, doesn’t have anything to sell). As well as not being as crowded as the Dedham Gas Station.
YET. This Stop&Shop gas station is not NEARLY as well put together as the other nearby S&S gas stations, including Dedham (directly next to the Dedham Stop&Shop at the Dedham Mall, on Providence Highway), Roslindale (again, directly next to the Roslindale Stop&Shop on American Legion Highway), and Mansfield (again (noticing a pattern?), directly next to the Mansfield Stop&Shop on Route 106). This gas station is AT LEAST a few miles from 2 different Stop&Shop stores. And is only accessible CONVENIENTLY on Route 1 Northbound. It is accessible from the Southbound side, yet its a REAL hassle. READ the bottom ** for details on how to access from Southbound side. Plus, the Dedham & Roslindale (I’ve never been to the Mansfield location, so I don’t know how they are) gas stations both have CHEAPER gas, and more pumps.
Overall, the Walpole Gas Station is ok in a pinch. And if you (like me), do ALL (actually, at this point its not always, just normally) or your grocery shopping at the WONDERFUL Walpole Stop&Shop on Rt 1A (not the annoying Norwood location… yikes!), I would suggest purchasing your gas here, only with your rewards points, otherwise, other places are cheaper and more hassle-​free.
******Accessing this gas station from the southbound side of Route 1: Directions start at the intersection where Big Y, Starbucks, and other places are (Route 27). Continue straight on Providence Highway, in the LEFT lane. Take second exit for NORTH I-​95 & Rt 1 towards Boston. Do Not take I-​95 S to Attleborough!******

You’ll save if you got gas points on your stop n shop card, but that’s the only reason I’ll stop. It’s only accessible if your driving rt 1 north and its self serve only. No lottery and no mini mart. They do have a very small selection of snacks and drinks, but not much. There’s two gas stations just a block up that have a mini mart, competitive prices, and easy access to both sides of rt 1.
