South Point Middle School

South Pointe is the place to be! You can make great friends and prepare for high school experiences. You don’t even want to leave the friends you make there. Staff is super friendly and easy to talk to. Awesome school
I only spent 2 years here but got to know almost my whole grade! It’s a nice friendly place where people can find a place to belong. Although the teachers can be hard in their classes if you get to know them they’re really cool. I built a lot of strong friendships here and it’s wonderful! You’ll make friends no matter what. The new STEM/​Engineering program is also super awesome. I participated in the first year it came out and it was so fun to have all my classes with the same people, we all moved together and worked together while having fun so definitely check that out if you plan to participate in brahma tech in the future. It’s super fun no doubt. Go Panthers!

Great Music program — haha go support their annual Music at the Pointe fundraiser/​carnival (fun for kids and you get musical entertainment). I miss PE too. They used to have an awesome soup/​salad lunch thing but that sadly discontinued. Work hard and you’ll be beaming at graduation.

Great school. Staff is wonderful. Education is rigorous. Very clean and well maintained. With two driveways — one from each side — morning drop offs go relatively quickly. Smart design. Classes normally keep the students within one 4 classroom complex so going from class to class is quick and easy.
Probably the most outstanding aspect of this school is their STRONG music program. They really get the students into the music. The elite Wind Ensemble competes AND WINS against full high school bands. Everyone who knows about this program knows how superior the kids become. Top notch! The school will teach students existing or new instruments and will provide expensive instruments for students to use while they attend South Pointe. My son had never played the bassoon before starting this school and now does a great job of it. He is so enthusiastic about music that he has expanded to add percussion, guitar, and piano.

This is my last year here. I’m not sure whats ahead for me in the year, but from my past 2 previous years, this place is great! Clean, big and a O. K location. The food they serve here are decent at times and also has a snack line which provides other small treats for your needs. The one reason i’m not rating this as a 5 star is because of «some» of the teachers. As explained from Matt, some of the teachers are hard to get with at time (some) but not all. My majority of teachers are AWESOME!~~ Which makes my last year at south Pointe great. Hope this helps
