I don’t really write reviews on Unilocal.Only if I have to and for this place, I certainly have to…
I had to leave my condo for mold repair and ended up staying at this place for almost a month (28 days or something) so I got know to know everything about this place, inside and out. This was my home for a month basically. I chose this place because it is right across from my work.
To break it down:
Front desk: I basically met all the staff that works at the front desk. Everyone was friendly and helpful with my check-​in/​out and other necessities I needed except for one guy. Probably the same guy people have been talking about on the bad reviews below. His name is Brian. He is very skinny with a fro with short spikes. This guy certainly did not look happy at all. He looked like he hated his job and did not want to help anyone.
During my 2^nd week of stay, I had to extend my stay because the repair was not finished. I went to the front desk and asked if I could extend my stay for one more week. Brian pretended to see if it was possible and he ended telling me that all the rooms were booked. There were NO VACANCY. I sensed something was very odd at that moment because it was during the middle of the week, it wasn’t peak season, nor I saw a lot of people staying during that time. I said okay and decided to ask again the next morning to a different front desk staff. The next morning I went over to the lobby again and asked if I could extend my stay to a different staff and immediately he said that it was not a problem, etc. booked another week and within 3 minutes, I was off to work.
The following week, I had bought dinner which I needed ketchup. I decided to go to the front desk to see if they had any. Again, it was Brian who I to deal with. I had to wait until he was done with customer but as I was waiting, I noticed that he was not speaking to the guests as he was supposed to be in a friendly, professional, courteous manner. In addition, he did not even end up saying thank you after the guests had done checking in. When it was my turn, I asked politely if I could have some ketchup. He said okay and then I asked him if I could get extra. Then he said he could only give me 4 packets. I answered him by saying that in the morning when the breakfast room is open, people are allowed to take as many as they can so why can’t he give me more than 4 packets? His answer was «Look, I am even going out of my way to get your ketchup to the breakfast room from the lobby (giving me a stink eye). Breakfast is breakfast and now is now. I am only going to give you 4.» I was speechless… I could not believe what he had said to me. When he came back, I just laughed at him in disbelief and started walking away without even saying «thanks». While I was walking away, he shouts «you’re welcome!» in a rude voice. I was so shocked I did not even turn back and just kept walking.
Noise: Since walls are not sound proof, I had several nights of no sleep because of people fighting/​arguing, laughing, TV, and especially people copulating very hard. I have proof (recorded it on my phone + Snapchat). Late at night, Asian tourists (I am Asian btw) that come from mainland think that it’s their house and scream and yell freely on the hallway. I had to call front desk about it but of course, they couldn’t do anything. The front lobby staff told me that they will quiet down soon (as if they were already used to it from before).
WIFI: The connection is horrible. My phone and laptop kept getting disconnected. Asked the front desk to restart the router many times. If you are in the rooms towards the outside of the skirts, don’t even bother connecting your phone to WIFI. You will get disconnected and before you know it, you will get overage data usage if you do not have unlimited data.
Heating/​cooling system: The heating/​cooler system worked well but it was DIRTY and the front panel was coming off. Had spiderwebs as well.
Breakfast: Not bad for a INN. Not a lot of INN’s offer free breakfast so I was satisfied. I almost ate it every day and I didn’t get sick of it. They serve eggs, sausages, banana’s, fruits, waffles, some weird but yummy Chinese vegetable looking things, yogurt, apple juice, orange juice, water, cookies, bread.
Housekeeping: The housekeeping ladies are very nice. They do their job very well — very clean. I wish I had cash every time I requested for housekeeping but unfortunately I didn’t. I wish I could’ve tipped more.
Overall — If you are staying for 1 night to 2 nights, I would recommend it since it’s cheaper than any hotels around Rowland/​Diamond Bar area except for motels. If you are a smoker, you should definitely stay since they have smoking rooms. They have a lot of people who stay over to do drugs, one night stands, prostitution (I actually saw a pimp come out of the room with 2 looking hookers). As for myself, I would stay there again if I had nowhere to go as long as I don’t deal with douchebag Brian.

This review is solely for my experience making a reservation over the phone, specifically their employee Robert M.
I spoke with their employee named Robert M. who was very rude to me. I called to make a reservation and Robert was the one who answered the phone. I mentioned the company that I work for and said that I know that we have a corporate rate, and I wanted to verify how much our corporate was. We have not even discussed the final amount yet and he wanted to get my credit card details. He was very eager to get my credit card information, and I was hesitant to give it, because we have not even agreed on the rate and final amount yet. I mean, isn’t that a given? Shouldn’t the amount be clear to the customer first before trying to get her to pay? I also wanted to know first if the transaction is cancelable, and until when before I agree to pay, and he was like, no give me your credit card information.
So I gave a summary of the transaction — rate/​night, dates, final amount — and I asked him to verify. And in a very irritated voice, he said «NOW CAN I GET YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS?» Excuse me! Don’t you even know how to handle a transaction?! How rude!

First time staying at this motel, but it did not disappoint at all … except for a few things.
— when I first arrived at the motel trying to check in, there was not place out in the front for me to park. I had to double park to register.
— there’s only 1 elevator on the other side of the building and we had to walk a pretty long distance to get to our room.
— the wall was pretty thin since I could hear the sound from the TV next door.
— there was not enough tables for guests during breakfast time. we had to sit on the couch to finish our breakfast.
Other than that, the overnight stay was fine. The room was clean and spacious. Free wifi in the room was decent. Would definitely come back again.

I stayed here for a few days before my road trip with my dad to Nevada/​Arizona. When we first came here to check in, the guy at the front desk asked if we were checking out. It wouldn’t make sense if we were bringing luggage inside from the front entrance to check out. We would already be inside the hotel. He wasn’t very friendly and probably didn’t like his job just based on his attitude. The parking lot was small, but we found parking without a problem.
The room I stayed in had a couch which could be converted to a bed. There was a flat screen TV and the standard things at a hotel like ironing board. I didn’t have any issues with noise from other rooms but maybe nobody was next door. The wifi signal was strong in my room so no problems there.
There were issues with my visit though. Every time they cleaned my room, the door key card would stop working which meant that I had to walk downstairs to the front desk. The ice machine on the second floor didn’t have ice in it and the vending machine was empty. I had to go downstairs outside of the pool to get ice. In addition, the room had a limited amount of wall outlets so you might run into issues of you have a lot of people on your room that need to charge their phones or whatnot.
Breakfast was downstairs from 6:30am to 9:30am on weekdays and 6:30am to 10:00am. The food was nothing special from other hotels that served complimentary breakfast. The drinks were physically separate from the food though.
I had better experience in the past at other hotels and would recommend avoiding this hotel if you could.

I flew into Ontario Airport on a Sunday night, I had made a reservation online which is super easy. I called the desk several times before my trip to ask questions because I was nervous, as I was flying in at 11:30 PM and I am a single female. Every time I called the lady at the desk was super helpful answered all my questions. So when I flew in I called the Front desk and asked the night lady to send the airport shuttle over. By the time I got out of Ontario airport which is pretty small. There was a nice gentleman waiting for me at with the doors open. He drove me to the and did a good job I checked in the night lady was very very nice. She let me come in the building instead of using the night desk. It was nice and warm in there as it was a little chilly outside. She promptly check to me and answered all my questions and even asked the airport shuttle bus driver to walk me to my room. Because it was late at night and it was quite a ways from the lobby. I got to my room everything was clean shower worked great cable works great has a little refrigerator coffee pot everything you could need!!! I will definitely rent again! Thank you quaily inn!

QUALITY INN??? MORE LIKE THE TRASH INN I wish we had the option to give places like these a negative 10 stars… worse hotel I’ve ever seen! If you can go else where don’t even stop in this dump. The front loby can be very deceiving, looks really clean and kept but that were it stops! We were booked two rooms for my family. My wife & kids were the first to arrive late in the evening, I received a phone call from my wife and she described the condition of our room which was never cleaned before our arrival. She was given an attitude by the front desk, a girl named Jessica. Our room was dirty and a had a mess from the previous user, the sheets were not replaced, the bathroom was not cleaned, the room for my sons had a very dirty tub and both room smelled of cigarette smoke. I talked to Jessica in the front desk and was told that they don’t have a cleaning crew during night hours and the best she can do is give us some towels! REALLY? TOWELS? AND HOW’S THAT GOING TO SOLVED THE SOILED BED SHEETS AND DIRTY BATHROOM CITUATION? I asked to speak to the manager and none were available, I asked Jessica the girl in the front desk to relay a message to the managers asking to speak to them right away and today I am still waiting for a phone call from them to explain the poor room maintenance and up keeping of their facility. The managers names are Danny and Jeanette…
We walked out of our rooms and did not stay there. if you’re visiting the Rowland heights area your best choice is the BEST WESTERN INN on gale and nogales. waaaay better than this dump!

Not recommended!!! I did not enjoy my stay here. First, the wifi sucks! Bad reception and even when it was connected my phone showed no internet connection. Second, they did not make up my room. And they have the make up room policy themselves. So I called the front desk, explaining everything. They seems like no biggy! And replied I can go over to pick up fresh towel if needed. What kind of service is this??!

BED BUGS BEWARE! We came to this Hotel for my Mothers 70^th Birthday and found bed bugs! My mother came for 3 nights and all they offered was one night free! Unacceptable!

Run… My honest opinion right off the bat… Try to find some place else… Period the end.

Place is dated for sure, I dont know about any remodeling as someone had mentioned in an early post. The place still looks dated in comparison to other Quality Inn’s or similar level hotels I have stayed in the past. I’m not a hotel snob but there is a level of fairness and consistency of professionalism any hotel establishment must have.
Starting with positives the staff was great, all friendly and just nice people (kudos), breakfast typical continental with usual flare of free coffee in the main lobby. Gym, well I give that a positive as well, probably due to no one really using it, lol. (meaning good working equipment) Dated looking room but equipment was decent and you could get a decent session in. Parking is decent overall, though a busy weekend we found parking even when coming back late in the evening.
However sadly this is where the positives end.
Rooms are fithy with a horrible stale smell, dated carpets is straight from the early 90’s with nasty black and white stains, bathrooms were not clean riddled with cracked tiles, peeling molding and wall paper and badly damaged grout.
The room clothing steamer we had spit out rust which almost ruined my dress shirt and my girlfriends blouse for an evening family party. Luckily I caught it in time. And yes we put new water in. The steam iron is just old, I banged it on the table and chucks of rust just poured out. This needs replacement asap.
From this stand point one would just say we had a bad room, but we had family staying in other rooms and all faced similar issues with cleanliness, stains and stale smells in the hall way and rooms.
Water pressure (granted California is facing a sever drought) was horrible to non existent, which one would end up wasting more water taking a longer shower to wash off.
Overall, IF and AFTER a remodel this place would have great potential, but I did not see any remodeling going on and if this is the end result of a remodel then they should fire their contractors and file a law suit right away. But reading many of the reviews as far back as 2012 ~2014 things have not changed for the start of 2015. Sadly I do not recommend this place at all.
As a side note of the area, as for stores, there is a gas station with a mart within and grocery stores /​fast food stores (Mc Donald’s) in the area so for that reason its very convenient.
Finally being off the highway is the only PLUS for this hotel. Look elsewhere !!

Place is a bit dated, but they have been remodeling the property and it is a lot nicer than what it use to be. Price is fair for the accommodation and awesome breakfast. Wifi is free as well!

Was there last on 11−22−14, my first time in that one. I needed a place to stay for one night near Diamond Bar, CA. I am a choicehotels member so it wasn’t my first Quality Inn stay. It is however the best one I’ve been to since. I’m staying again on Christmas eve and if my stay is as equal to my first I’ll be a very satisfied camper. My room was on the first floor near the exit, very clean, neat, and great service. The only problem I had was getting on line. I called the front desk and was told to try a different browser and that did it. Oh, and I didn’t really care for they’re pillowettes. (tiny pillows). The breakfast spread was the best I’ve seen and tasted in a long time. Don’t understand all of the fuss. Maybe they changed they’re management. Well, my gain.
I’ll post another review after Christmas.

I expected much more from this Quality Inn but it turned out to be pretty dive-​y. The hotel is pretty outdated but the internet was okay I guess. The toilet handle in my coworkers room was broken so he had to open up the toilet every time he wanted to flush it.
Additionally, the «business center» computers don’t even have Microsoft Office on them. We were trying to print out some documents but it was no dice. So if you have to do any business other than updating your facebook status to «This hotel I’m staying at totally sucks,» then you’re outta luck.

The pictures look way better than what the hotel and rooms actually were. The quality of the room was not worth the price I paid! I paid for what is considered a «suite» when it’s really just a room with something they called a «divider.» There was a foul smell to the room, the AC didn’t work well, and the carpets felt dirty.
If you have young children DO NOT STAY HERE! The front desk wouldn’t give me extra blankets for the carpet so I could feel a little bit better if my kids wanted to play on the floor. The housekeeping staff gave me extra towels though to compensate, bless their hearts! They charged me for using the safe when it was my kids who accidentally pressed the buttons. For those who say that’s my fault, fine, but perhaps it should have been placed higher than on the floor.
Families– spend the extra money! This place is okay if you think more about budget than quality.

1. room was dirty
2. a/​c didnt work. Maint man came in and remove the filter that was coroded with dust and cleaned it.
3. bed spread was ancient
4. hallways and lobby was at least 80 – 90 degrees
5. Got up for breakfast at 630 and there was 1 sausage link in the pan and everything else was out. skipped that and went elsewhere.

Location wise quiet and next to a golf course but not walking distance to any local Asian restaurants. The exercise room has all the standard equipments and the breakfast is decent. They serve rice porridge. Rooms definitely need updating. Stains and cracks everywhere. Sound insulation is non existent.

I use their meeting room on monthly basis for our non-​profit group meeting as the hotel is in a convenient location for both members from OC or in RH area.
Meeting Room Price– GOOD. the price is affordable and easy to book. Water and coffee station free of charge.
FREE WIFI is a big plus compare to other hotels that we used without FREE Wifi.
Friendly staff are attentive and willing to help.
We sometimes use the bigger meeting room for all member mixer and the big windows does make the room look bright and full of life.
We are very happy with their service and rate, will highly recommend their meeting rooms for others.

This place needs major renovating — it’s totally outdated. Water stains on the ceiling. Paper thin walls (you can hear every footstep and every conversation outside). Internet is unreliable. The floor creaks. The breakfast is okay. Definitely won’t be returning to this hotel.

It’s good for what it’s worth. Stayed here about 3 times. I feel that they haven’t done anything to fix some cracks on the walls and floors. The staff is always nice. Comfy bed and nice room. Breakfast is great.

This Quality Inn is relatively clean. It is a little run down and need a serious renovation. During Breakfast I saw 2 hooded young guys sitting by themselves, which does not instill a lot of confidence in this area. The lobby is also very very smoke filled due to one of the staff smoking outside. I do not recommend family to stay here because it always has seminars in their public rooms and you get a mix of characters here. It also get some young kids staying here which makes it a little noisy.

Love the waffle station. Tight. And a fitness room? Hot tub and pool? Only wish I got a chance to use them. Well I did get the chance to, but I decided to be a computer geek instead. Loser.
There was a stain on my mom’s sheets. Most of the time, the lock on the door wouldn’t allow us in with the key cards we were given. The refrigerator froze everything we put it in it. We had to toss a bunch of soy beans.
Everything else was in order and okay priced. I liked the carpet and bed cover patterns a lot.
