Oh my… what an awesome little hidden gem! Just spotted this restaurant and wow, I am impressed. First of all. .it’s very clean! ! And great menu selection, they even have mariscos. Very good prices, I just paid $ 6 for a 3 taco place w rice and beans. The salsa bar was very fresh, and clean. The food was yummy! I’m not even a big fan of rice and beans but they were so good I finished them. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place

Ok tacos. Not bad, not memorable. Usually pretty busy at lunch time. They get the food out pretty quick, cashier always friendly.

Excellent customer experience! My wife and I just tried this place and were not initially satisfied by the service. But let me explain. I ordered the chicken Mayan burrito and my wife ordered the fish tacos with no onion/pico de gallo. Well, we made it all the way home to find tons of pico de gallo all over her tacos. I immediately brought it back, not knowing what reaction to expect. Fortunately, the staff was very apologetic and extremely accommodating! I was blown away. There was no complaining and no hassle at all. They made fixing my order a high priority and completely remade the dish. I was in and out in no time at all! I base my 5 star rating not only on the service but on the complete customer experience. That is what is important! And Mayan Tacos definitely proved that they are capable of providing their customers with a top notch customer experience. As a customer, I was very satisfied! So, thank you! I’d like to also note that the food was delicious and we will be going back again soon!

This review is based on today’s experience ONLY. I have ordered here in the past… And I really like there tacos(but that’s not what I ordered today) I was in a rush So I placed a phone order. Right when I called I got placed on hold for 3 mins. I should have just hung up then. I got there and still had to wait another 10mins. I ordered nachos & a cheese quesadilla Nothing fancy! It was $ 10. Let’s just say it would have been cheaper and I would have been more satisfied going to Taco Bell. I asked for nacho cheese, asada pinto beans and jalapeños. Nothing was right… I got melted cheese, refried beans, and no Jalapeños. I also ordered a cheese quesadilla for my son. I was shocked it was $ 3 it was cheese and a small tortilla. If I had the time to stop somewhere else I would have just asked for a refund. I only gave it too stars because I’ve had the tacos in the past and enjoyed them.

Over the years I’ve been come to this place. I’ve always enjoyed their tacos and their various other offerings. I will have to agree with Jennifer C., this place is easily described as «OKAY» The food is fair compared to most other places. Some of the things that I do notice about this place is the wait times for your food to arrive(Dine-in or to-go) I feel, is a bit longer than most places. The parking is decent and you won’t have to fight to find a spot. They offer an assortment of salsas and toppings at their salsa station. Pro: –Decent Food –Plenty of parking Con: –Longer wait times Overview: I think I will come back here again, but only because its just simply convenient for me to grab a quick bit of Mexican food. The food is okay, not bad.

Love this place for Mexican food! It taste authentic, like the food joints around Boyle Heights. The price is decent for the portions that they serve. I love their Menudo, it’s so good!

Located in a long plaza, checked in for a free drink, ordered a beef burrito and waited 10 minutes, I will call to order on the phone next time, open later than other places, the burrito was good with the hot sauce. Food was hot

This is a small mom and pop place by my house. I come almost every Sunday to eat and watch football on tv. Employees are friendly and fast. The service is quick. The food is delicious. Some of the best nachos I’ve eaten. Get almost the same thing every time. They also serve breakfast but haven’t had the chance to try it… One day. I would recommend this place for sure. I just can’t get enough and it’s not too many places I can say I go to all the time.

Everything is just O-K about this place compared to all of the Mexican spots I’ve tried. They have a pretty large seating area inside, a private lot outside where you shouldn’t have any problems finding parking and staff was friendly. Food itself is ok. What got me to come here is their option for doing half nachos and half fries(but this option will cost you $ 1 extra). Also, their half n half meat option will cost you $ 1 extra as well. Their portions are huge so if you want to share, I would suggest it and split the cost if you care, but if it’s just for one person it’s way too much if you ask me. I would’ve thought their meat portions would be a little more than what they give for the $ 1 extra charge and they use nacho sauce instead of real cheese FYI(just saying because I prefer real cheese). They have a wide range of different types of food on their menu to choose from so I think that’s great. The salsa at the salsa bar was a bit disappointing though. I didn’t like any of the salsas they offered :( I would recommend giving it a try though because our tastes might be different to see for yourself! Bueno provecho amigos! Mayan tacos! This mom and pop shop welcomes all Mexican food eaters. They have a variety of menu items from tacos to tostadas to tortas to flautas to sopes to chilaquiles to burritos to quesdillas. They also have kid friendly menu items. Most dish is either individual or can be made into an entrée with beans and rice. Mayan tacos has a soft drink dispenser with fanta orange and lemonade. But the best dispenser is the trip of horchata, agua fresca, and whipped orange drink. Be prepared to wait during lunch time on a weekend. Most people seemed to take their order to go. But those who dine in can enjoy one of three tv screens: one with sports and the other entertainment. I like their small salsa bar with pickled radish, pickled carrots & onions and hot peppers. There are three types of salsas: salsa verde, salsa fresca, and a hot red sauce. Parking is limited but I’ve never had trouble finding parking even when it was the busy hour. Hope you’re on your way to Mayan Tacos soon! I’ll be sure to return!

I love this place. The food is yummy and the service is good. The price is reasonable and it’s close to home and work. They have breakfast lunch and dinner with kids meal options. A lot of selections to pick from. I would definitely recommend this place.

This place has really revamped themselves! They remodeled the restaurant and also changed up the menu. The last time I was here was a few years ago and I had a really bad experience, which has deterred me from coming here. Even though theres almost nonexistent Mexican restaurants around this area. Taco Tuesday $ 1 and they have all of the usual meats to choose from. Fish taco Wednesday $ 1 has grilled and battered. I got the battered ones and they were pretty good, but very small though :( Im pretty sure they have a Thursday special as well, but I haven’t been here on that day haha. I am definitely coming here more often on the days they have the specials :)

We picked up some carne asada tacos on Taco Tuesdays-$ 1! I appreciate any restaurant that offers a salsa bar. My favorite one is the green salsa. The red one is a little bit too roasted for my taste. As for the tacos, they’re not as oily as Los Amigos up the street. The meat is pretty tasty but they need to give more onions and cilantro! I think I still prefer the tacos from Los Amigos though. They’re more flavorful and cheaper. I would come back here to try items from their extensive menu.

Mayan Tacos has a great menu, it’s one of the best Mexican food restaurants in the area. Tonight my little girls picked asada bean & cheese nachos and bean & cheese fries. Service is fast and personnel is very nice. Mexican restaurants in the area close early, you can count on Mayan Tacos for a late evening bite.

This place has $ 1 taco on tuesday :) I was craving mexican food and this place looked like the best bet nearby. Food: I though the tacos were actually pretty good. I got one taco of every meat they had and you cant go wrong because I liked all of them. I kinda wished they had free chips. I love going in to a hole in the wall mexican spot and they have the salsa bar with all the chips you could want and homemade salsa etc. Not a big deal just reminiscing :) They dont have homemade horchata, but they have that fountain drink one so I got that. If I were you and I was craving mexican food, I would definitely come here. They also had a huge selection of other stuff if you dont like tacos. Apparently they have a 3 lb burrito of something. Anyway, gotta go. Till we meet again.

Mayan tacos is a great Mexican restaurant off of Valley that offers fairly authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. I have been here twice and the first time I got the Mayan nachos which were loaded with your choice of meat, salsa, sour cream, guacamole. Such a guilty pleasure to have every once in a while. Their menu is very expansive and there is something for everyone. The only complaint I have is that there is only one person at the register who also has to clean all the tables so there can be a little wait when people start piling in so the service gets bogged down. There is plenty of inside seating available to use and a few TVs mounted on the wall as well if you choose to dine in. Pro tip: Come here for the Fish tacos on Wednesday for only $ 1, they may be small but 5 or 6 would be more than enough to fill you up!

Mayan Tacos has a wide variety of Mexican favorites. On this day, we tried a hardshell(shredded chicken) taco, the carne asada nachos and ceviche. Two out of three ain’t bad. My best tip, steer clear of the ceviche. It’s got more onion than anything else, and it’s so dry you’d thing the shrimp was slow roasted. After about three bites I was pretty much done trying to eat any more. I do love that the nachos had both shredded cheese and the sauce version of nacho cheese, though I might ask for extra meat next time. They skimp a bit. They accept credit cards and parking isn’t a problem. The price is pretty reasonable, too.

I have to admit I’m addicted to their tacos de al pastor. Actually, everything here is yummy. The flavors on their meats are rich. It’s obvious they pay attention to quality, quality and value. They have a nice variety on their menu. For tacos, burritos, tostadas, nachos, etc., you can choose from asada, chicken, carnitas, al pastor, chile verde and a few others. Menu items can be ordered ala carte or as a combo or Mayan meal. Mayan meals are for those with a tremendous appetite. They even have the smallest little mini-tostadas, to satisfy any appetite. Burritos can be ordered dry, wet or chimichanga. Is there anything they don’t offer here? When it comes to Mexican food, they have it all. There is a salsa bar with chilies to choose. The staff are pleasant and helpful. I would recommend calling your meal in ahead of time, as it speeds up the service. Now this is our new take out place for our quick Mexican fixes, but it’s not bad to eat in as well. Not only am I sold, so is my brother and my mother. Even the kiddies are fans. FYI, their full menu is available on their website: . Next, I’m going to try their breakfasts. They look insanely delicious!

I have been here about 7 times since my last review in November. Love the $ 1 taco Tues/Thurs. I have yet to try the $ 1 fish taco Wednesdays. Their jalapeño burger is good and spicy(forgot the actual name). I’ve had the Cali burrito normal, wet, and chimichanga style. One thing I particularly liked about this place was that my friend could not decide during one visit if he wanted mayan nachos or fries. so he asked if he could do half and half and they said yes. They even let him do half and half meat. I’m coming back tomorrow for lunch. I should check in more often.
