I paid 8.27 for a «Fresh Mix salad» with grilled chicken. There was NOTHING fresh about my salad. It was brown and wilted and crappy looking, it was clearly last weeks lettuce that needed to be thrown out. As a server how do you feel good about putting old lettuce on a plate that someone paid real money for. They did not even give me dressing.

I come here pretty regularly. I only ever get the grilled chicken breast. I love the macaroni salad. I’m pretty generous with my stars but this place is kind of a hit or a miss which is why it gets 3 stars. Most of the time it’s good but when it’s bad, it’s bad. I’ve had several occasions where my order was wrong and a couple times the chicken was rubbery and inedible. I continue to go because most of time it is good, fast, convenient and inexpensive.

The food is okay. I don’t know if they are always short on staff or they’re just simply slow. We always have to wait at least 15 minutes for our food. This last time we were there it was more than 20 minutes.

Really Good Hawaiian BBQ, I always get the kids meal hehe its a smaller portion of course but it fills me up only $ 6.69, The chicken salad is also good, comes with a special house dressing and its healthy! There macaroni salad is amazing probably one of the best I’ve had.

First timer! Really good sauce on the chicken. The macaroni is delicious!!! I ordered the island fire chicken and I’m seriously in love!!! Lately I have been picky with places and I never paid attention to this place, but I can it’s a place I can go back to. Really nice employees and the place very clean.

Good food, good prices, large portions. Rather quick. Solid spot for lunch. It’s self service, and has lots of competition in walking distance that can challenge them on every level. 3⁄5 ain’t bad, but you can find much better places around here.

The food is amazingly good. I love Hawaiian bbq. Walked in ordered and had our food about 5 minutes after. The soda machine is in a weird spot though. It’s right by the restrooms. Which was not good thinking that it’s so close to nastiness. The machine also looks dirty. As if it hasn’t been clean in a long time. My brother and I were there and a lady walked in selling chocolates. My brother asks what kind of chocolates and she tells him to lean over to look inside her backpack. What’s that? It seemed as if there was a drug deal going on. About 2 minutes later a lady walks in asking for money. You can’t eat in peace here. If you go take it to go.

The quality is awful! I ordered beef bbq. I couldn’t even finish it. It was too oily! I’ll never try this branch again! I drove 2 miles to here, but it wasn’t worth!

Food was not like its displayed on the menu. Chunky pieces, cabage or salad is swimming in water, making the chicken wet.

First time trying ono hawaiin. My brothers love the food. I was impressed. The katsu chicken was crispy and delicious. I was not a fan of the bbq beef but the bbq chicken was tender not to mention flavorful. Went with a few brothers and a friend purchased the family meal. $ 30 for the amount of food we received was awesome.

I haven’t been here in a while, but their food is definitely good, even better than other Hawaiian BBQ places I’ve been to.

Had an hour or so to kill, so I stopped in here for a quick bite. Clean and well kept. Ordered some shrimp and it came quickly. Food was good, sauces were yummy. If I’m in the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to stop by.

Located in the Alameda Shopping center next to Jamba Juice and Fat Burger. Plenty of parking spots in the lot. I come here sometimes because it’s so close to work and I’m a fan of chicken katsu. The katsu is sometimes overcooked, but I really like chicken in all forms. The wait is always pretty long since I come during lunch hours but I learned to go at different times. The $ 5 combo meal with drink is gone but now there is a new deal with other options.

This place opened up with a splash back i don’t know when. The price is a bit expensive… but they use to serve a reasonable amount of food… USETO… enough for two people. Now they keep the same prices but u cant even tell the fish from the shrimp… it being very small… the cabbage was over cooked… and their chicken is very dry. I use to be a fan… not anymore… not going to waste my money on such poor quality of food.

2009: I come here completely baffled on what to exactly order, I end up with a vast amount of meat. So much meat that the leftovers end up going to waste. The restaurant is a complete disappointment. 2010: Redemption is at hand and I give this restaurant another go. I end up ordering the #2 Chicken Katsu which resembles the appearance of fish sticks but I kid you not — these are not fish sticks. These are heavenly chicken sticks with two scoops of white rice and superb macaroni salad. The restaurant is a godsend. Now, the price is quite expensive but you have the option of ordering 4.99 meals, I chose to indulge myself for the time being so order based on your appetite for destruction. In the end, I regret nothing. It’s another fabulous restaurant The Alameda Shopping Center has to offer and look forward to gaining many pounds in the expense of Mr. Ono.
