Fast service. I called mid day on a Wednesday asking for a quote, next thing Brian was able to squeeze my Honda CRZ same day. They repaired my rear drivers side wheel stud for a awesome price when compared to my local Honda dealer. Will come back again when my Honda needs some work.

I just wanted to take the time and say what a great shop this is. I called a day before to let them know what was going on with my car and told them I’d be coming in the next day. When I got there the next day they already called to find out when the parts will be in which means a lot to me because I don’t like being without a car for long. Great customer service, exceptional work all equals to me coming back for future service.

I have a 2006 manual Acura TL that I bought used, and will likely keep it for many, many more miles. In case you don’t read further, the mechanics were honest, easy to work with and the shop was clean! I have rarely taken it to anywhere but the dealership. They agreed with the dealership (valves needed to be adjusted) and saved me about $ 100. They also saved me a bit more by replacing my spark plugs a little early. I pick up my car, happy all is good, only to realize, somewhere in the next few weeks (argg), my car is still doing the same thing! Well, I go back, they take a ride with me (they drive), and feel the problem. Since the valve adjustment didn’t fix the problem (which, I’m glad they did!, cause it needed to be done), they had a pretty strong idea as to what it was. Me not being a mechanic, I didn’t have a clue what he was talking about, but when he explained it, it made sense. Well, I get my car back and it’s been running GREAT! That was back in July (I’m writing this well after driving my car many more miles) so I’ve had plenty of time to feel how things are going. I keep my cars for a long time, and really appreciate an honest mechanic. I also know, cars are tricky, especially as they get older. I will definitely be back to Walnut Creek Import when my car needs a service. I feel they did a great job at repairing what needed to be done and working with me to figure out what we didn’t know at the beginning. Again, the shop is clean, they were easy to work with and they fixed the issue I was having with my car! I will definitely be returning!

Very satisfied with WC Import Service. They replaced my timing belt which, to my understanding, is a very labor intensive job. I called four different shops, and they were the only shop that answered the phone, gave me an estimate and treated me like they appreciated my business. They got me in the next day, everything went very smooth when I dropped it off, they called when it was ready and I drove off with great peace of mind. I trust their work and highly recommend them.

Took my beloved Acura to diagnose and repair an a/​c problem that I’ve been having and not only did they repair it, but they discounted some of the parts off the labor charge. I was well informed the entire time and did not feel they were adding on more services than I needed. It is hard to find a shop you can trust nowadays. WC Import Service is truly one of the best shops in the bay area (I have four cars older than dirt, so I’m no stranger to auto shops and know what I’m talking about). I’ve been going to these guys for several years after a colleague recommended them to me, and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with them. I now bring my cars, my girlfriend’s car, and all my company’s vehicles to them. They’ve always been honest, responsive, and will go the extra mile to make sure you’re happy with their work.
To share one example of their exceptional service:
Recently, the engine in my girlfriend’s new-​to-​her car suffered a catastrophic failure, and she needed a replacement. We didn’t want to pay $ 5,000 for a new engine so Andy (the owner) searched high and low to find us a quality used engine replacement. Not only did he find us a great engine, but the shop completed the engine swap in less than 2 days… saving us more than $ 3,000 in the process. Further, once the engine installation was completed, Andy personally test drove the vehicle numerous miles to make sure everything was in order. As a result, he noticed a couple of items on the car the needed to be addressed (not related to the engine failure) and did so at no charge to us (one item repaired was a left front axle, by the way [yea, this might have been the all time worst used car purchase in the history of used car purchases, but I’ll leave that story for another time]). It’s been 2 weeks since the repair and the car continues to run better than it ever has. If you’ve ever swapped out an engine, or had it done by a shop, you know what a chore it can be, and all the potential problems that can creep up after it’s done. Andy and the guys (Brian and Cat) know what they are doing and do it well.

I’ve taken my car here for two services and found them very professional, timely and good at explaining what was going on. This week I had an unexpected problem and — as they are only 3 blocks from my house — I drove to them and asked if they could do a quick fix so I could get to work. They were amazing — didn’t even make me feel bad about the stupid thing I’d done to rip the bottom off my poor car — and fixed it in 10 minutes. Thanks Brian!

Can’t say enough about Andy and his guys at Walnut Creek Imports. They’ve worked on all of our cars for about 8 years now (Saturn, Honda, Hyundai), always giving us a fair price, clear descriptions of work being done, and they always check in with an estimate before beginning. Hello, just had my Acura TL brakes done at Walnut Creek Import Service and was impressed enough to write. I’m going to take my car there for all service in the future. It’s the kind of place that I trust, and believe me as a single female in a world of male car mechanics this is huge!

Brought in Prius at 10 it was ready at 12:30. I got my hybrid coolant replaced and horn fixed for $ 150. I brought it to the Toyota dealership for an oil change and was quoted $ 275 and would have had to keep my car there overnight. I told Toyota of Walnut Creek I wasn’t interested unless they would charge me to keep my car overnight and would at least consider bumping up the cost of the repair another 25%. They kindly obliged seeing that I had a giant $ucker sign on my forehead. Serious though I saved some serious cash thanks to walnut Creek import service and wasn’t without my car for less than a few hours. In conclusion dealerships bad, Walnut Creek import — good.

Having never actually taken my car to Walnut Creek Import Service, I cannot speak for the quality of their work – they might be fantastic; but when I recently called to inquire about possibly bringing in my car, I must say I was put off by their distinctly unfriendly attitude. If they were interested in my business, they hid it well! In all liklihood this is just a matter of providing a little coaching for whoever is answering the phones.

After very very disappointing experiences with other car places, we came here based upon some positive Unilocal reviews. Thank goodness we did! Our cars (a 1994 Acura Legend and 2002 Honda Odyssey), no matter what the problem, small or large, they have been fully treated and taken care of without breaking our bank and honest workmanship. They’re totally trustworthy and we’ll be taking all our future cars there as well! (Including our new Nissan XTerra — bought used and formerly a Hertz rental car — fingers crossed!) This is the only place we recommend to our friends. They are great!!!

It doesn’t get better than Andy! We moved away for a few years and tried many other well-​reviewed and more convenient locations (for us – Andy’s shop is easy to get to), but we just kept going back. This is a quality service. No fanfare, no blowing his own horn, just consistent honesty, straight talk, fairness, and reasonable prices. Keep it going!

We have been bringing our cars to Andy for years. They always do a great job. If you need tires also, they will take it across the street to American Tire store for you and make all the arrangements and help you select the correct tires while staying in a budget. i have never felt «oversold» or pressured. Any repairs needed are always thoroughly explained and estimated ahead of time.
Recently, during a particularly busy time, my Acura starting making a burning oil smell. I drove by Walnut Creek Imports without an appointment and Brian offered to take a look to see if it was serious issue. They discovered a cracked power steering hose that needed to be replaced immediately. Without even being asked, he checked the Acura website for a recall, supplied a print out of the recall, the telephone number and a good contact at Acura of Concord. I was able to get my car repaired and saved several hundred dollars. I really appreciate Brian’s honesty and integrity.

Unfortunately, my opinion has changed quite drastically. I had a ’97 Ford Escort with 190K on it which began choking on startup and at some random times. They changed out the spark plugs and the coil assembly, but that did not fix the problem. Then my battery was dying, so they fixed that and also changed the alternator, which was at 7%, and replaced a belt.
To be fair, he did say the alternator was optional, but I was still feeling like the problem was solved (the car would be totally fine for up to a week, then have the recurring issue).
After all of that, he said he think he finally figured out what the problem was – a sticking valve. It was not something easy to fix, and would be far too expensive for the car’s age and miles to be worth fixing. In the meantime, I had spent nearly a grand on parts and repairs that I wouldn’t of had he diagnosed the problem correctly in the beginning.
He tried a last resort of putting in an additive, which he did free of charge, but to no avail. By the end of the month, I had a new (used) car, which I will take elsewhere. I just can’t justify going back after spending so much money for nothing.

I took my ’06 BMW 330 to Andy for an oil change and a tough couple problems. One was that none of the doors would unlock, except for the driver’s side door with the backup key. The other was an SRS fault.
Andy did a proper oil change with the synthetic oil and such that the car requires. He also took the time to diagnose the door lock problem to find it was a fuse that needed to be replaced. He replaced the fuse and ran it through the tests recommended BMW to make sure that was all that was required (thus avoiding the massive cost associated with replacing the door lock actuators).
Regarding the SRS fault, Andy was honest enough to let me know that his shop was not equipped to correct that challenge, and recommend another local shop for me to get it addressed.
In the end, I paid for an oil change and a fuse. He didn’t charge a dime for the diagnosis or the hassle of changing the fuse which is located behind the glove box.
Andy’s earned a customer or life.

Brought my 07 TL in for sports springs and shocks installed. The work was done perfectly. Andy was very professional, gave me all the disclaimers.
