What a total service failure. I am very disappointed. I personally went to this florist and placed and pre-​paid order for $ 200 for 2 arrangements. Both for local delivery on December 9, 2015. One was to be delivered to me, the other to another recipient. Neither delivery occurred. When you call the shop to speak with them you are routed to a voice mail if you are calling about an existing order. But, if you want to order/​buy flowers you are connected right away and speak with a live person. I had to do the latter. They had the wrong delivery date for my order. With floral arrangements timing is everything. This florist screwed it up. I do not recommend this business. They are wolves disguised in florist clothing. I instructed the designer to cancel my order and issue a credit card refund at once and without delay. My Tuesday night holiday party went without the floral arrangement and my other recipient received nothing for what should have been a perfectly timed delivery.

Despite the bad reviews, I received a modern-​looking flower delivery with nice hydrangeas, roses and tulips.

I can’t adequately communicate what a nightmare this experience has been. I just wanted to send flowers to my friend for her 40^th birthday. She received funeral plants instead of flowers. When you call on a florist during times of happiness, sorrow, love, and celebration it come with expectations. Our expectations were not met. When I called for a refund a very nasty and belligerent woman yelled at me and hung up on me twice. Only turning around to call me back four times to demand I give the plant back. I was sorry to give it a star in order write this review… I suggest this company check out a version of «Good Business For Dummies». One is easily accessible at your local library, on tape and paperback on loan for free.

I walked in and asked how much for a dozen of those? I was given a price, but when I was rang up, the price was suddenly higher. I inquired about the price increase and she said she «threw in a few more».
Ummm… I paid what she wanted, but that wasn’t OK.

I’ve used this florist several times for huge occasions over the past 2 years. First my boss’ birthday. Second the birth of my boss’ first born. Third my coworkers’ grandfather’s passing and fourth, a thank you bouquet for a guest speaker at my firm. All 4 times the flowers were ordered and delivered same day without issue. Sandy even gave me extra stems free of charged when I asked her to beef up the arrangement! So I really don’t know what all the bad reviews are about. Please try Sandy and Walnut Creek Florist one more time. I think you’ll be more than happy with their friendly and fast service. Thanks Sandy!
Update: the guest speaker sent a thank you note for the flowers I sent her and she loved them!

This florist SUCKS 2 years in a row I placed an order over the phone and they never deliver satisfying customer service. Last year I paid over the phone and told them a pick up date for my daughter’s prom; when I got there they don’t have it ready and I ended up waiting for an hour for them to make it. This year, last week I placed the order and they said to pay when I pick up. I called at noon today (pick up day) and they said they don’t have the order and don’t know if they can have it ready on time and will call me if they have the mini rose. unbelievable! I highly NOT RECOMMEND WALNUT CREEK FLORIST!!! RATING VERY VERY LOW!

Do I have to give them a star? Walnut Creek Florist doesn’t even deserve one star!
I understand that the owner’s name is Amy. I have been meaning to call her about one staff member in particular, but decided to make it public here. I have NEVER walked into a brick and mortar shop, run by a small business owner and met someone on staff so rude. It’s been a couple weeks and I thought I was over her treatment, but I have to say something…
Amy — My mother and I came into your store on Monday, March 10^th before noon. You were not there. I understand you came in at 2p that day. Tara, one of your team members was working there with another woman. My mom had questions for Tara and requested an order so they walked over to the front of the store. I asked your other team member for help with a wedding order.
I am helping my best friend with her wedding flowers in May and was inquiring about a quote and potential arrangements. But, before I could even ask my question, your employee snapped at me as if I was bothering her! She sighed when she realized she had to walk over to the front counter to speak with me since she was sitting on a stool. I understand that she was probably arranging a customer’s floral arrangement, but besides my mom, I was the only customer in the store and at the counter.
She seemed very upset that he had to help me, so much that I asked, «Is everything okay? Did I catch you at a bad time?» She replied, «What do you need?»
I said,“I’m helping my girlfriend with her wedding flowers…” and proceeded to tell her what I was looking for. I had all of my information ready as I was already speaking with a couple other florists. She pointed to the wedding books and in short said,“take a look at those. Let me know if you have questions.“
I glanced at the unorganized stacks of wedding books and said, «Never mind. I’d rather work with a florist that cares about my business. Thank you so much for your time.»

I have sworn to never use Walnut Creek Florist & Gifts again.
For some reason they have issues with being able to deliver on my orders for my mother in the Dallas, TX area.
They messed up a recent Mother’s Day order. After taking the order and processing my payment, they called back at the end of the day to tell me they couldn’t find a partner florist in TX to deliver the order in time for Mother’s Day (although when I ordered they gave no indication delivery would be an issue). They offered to deliver it the day after Mother’s Day. Yeah, right… I ended up calling a florist in Dallas and they got the job done.
Christimas 2013 I decided to give them another try. Flowers for Mom. They took the order, processed payment, all good. End of the day I am having dinner out and get a call from WC Florist & Gifts. This time, they claim that the selection I made was actually sold out in TX and could they send something similar. I said, sure. Hour or so later they call again to report that they can’t get the delivery done on time but they’ll deliver on December 26… Would that be OK? I cancel the order and call a florist in Dallas and they get the job done.
My hunch is that WC Florist & Gifts knows they can’t fulfill an order when it’s placed, but rather than disclose that they take the order, let some time pass, and then report it can only be done late hoping the consumer will keep the order with them anyways.
I won’t use them again. If your orders matter to you, I recommend you avoid them as well.

Update — the owner called me Monday morning after Mother’s Day… apologized for my disappointment with the order, and said she would send a blooming plant to my mom’s house today… my mom called me this afternoon and said she received a beautiful blooming azalea. Thank you, Amy, for taking care of this. Both my mother and I appreciate your efforts.
Mother’s Day 2013 — I should have checked the reviews before ordering from them.
I will never use this place again. They were on the FTD website which said they would take FTD coupons. I placed my order on-​line, then called WC Florist to verify they received my order. I told them I put the coupon code on the order and they said they wouldn’t accept it. It’s Mother’s Day for Pete’s sake! The flowers were delivered yesterday and my mom happened to send me a picture — they look like, or frankly worse, than they came from a bad grocery store. Safeway does a better job. For nearly $ 60 total (delivery and svc charge included) I expected more. I’m just sickened, and if I didn’t live 4 hours away, I’d march right down there and demand my money back…

Unbelievable! This place is hideous in the way they treat their customers. I called them this morning to pre-​order 3 separately wrapped $ 10 arrangements in the hopes I could have them ready for my pick up in a hour. Idk. Sounds like a pretty normal request to make of a florist, right?!
The woman that took my call sounded like she just made her first steps onto American soil… though she understood my request enough to say that she didn’t want to make up 3 /​$ 10 arrangements and ran off a phone number to «forget me not flowers». I’ll find someone willing to help me there.
Whhhhhhhaaat the fwa?! I guess the flowers at this «Walnut Creek Florist» have magical powers or something that makes them so in demand that they’re in a position to rudely turn my business away.
It’s no surprise they’re rated so low here! If their product is in anyway similar to their customer service … I’d recommend taking your flower needs elsewhere.

Horrible! My friend sent his girlfriend flowers and they totally killed her surprise! Instead of calling him to see where her work was they called her and they sent the wrong flowers! They sent her flowers that she was allergic to and the arrangement was ugly! On top of it when he called to complain they said they would give her a new flowers but would need to pick up what was sent! Totally sad!

My husband sent 12 long-​stemmed red roses for our anniversary Tuesday. By Thursday evening, three had wilted and two were on their way, so I called Walnut Creek Florist. With no questions asked, they offered to send over 5 wrapped replacement roses within the next two hours. Fabulous service! On the downside, the bouquet looks like, well, I arranged it, and nobody wants that. This is the third time my husband has used this florist and all three times the flowers themselves were gorgeous, but the arrangement was rather pathetic. No balance, no symmetry — just clumps. So 5 stars for service, 1 for workmanship.

WOW. I agree. This place just does not even try to make the bouquets look beautiful. It’s like they just see what types of flowers and the numbers of flowers there are supposed to be in each bouquet and they pop them into a vase and then bam — they send you a vase with random flowers.
So here’s my deal. My boyfriend decided to be super sweet and send me flowers at work (all together now…“awwwwwwwwwww”) So when I pick it up at the reception desk I’m just umm. how do I say this nicely. surprised? I text my bf a picture of what they sent me saying «um, thank you love!» He returned saying «Wtf? They aren’t supposed to look like that» So I go onto their website and check out the pics and lo and behold, a BEAUTIFUL picture of a lovely flower arrangement — nothing like what I received.
I called them a day after and let them know my boyfriend wants a refund because I told them we weren’t satisfied with what they sent us. They tried to argue with me that the arrangement had the right flowers and the right amount, but countered and said «um, but you put a picture of a beautiful arrangement and what I received was nothing like it.» After arguing with the lady for several minutes, she finally says she would call my bf to arrange the refund of $ 60.00 (yes folks, he spent $ 60. With that amount of money you’d be expecting a gorgeous bouquet, not one that you could have picked up at the super market, which I am confident those are better than what they sent to me.)
Quality of flowers — mediocre. Design — awful. Customer service — lacking. Never coming back here again.

I work in the floral industry, so I understand that sometimes it’s hard to fill a flower order that would look exactly like what is pictured on a website. I get that. But I don’t get it when the flowers arrived like the florist didn’t even try. Like maybe some kid picked some dead flowers off the side of the road and jammed them in a vase.
I picked out a bouquet that had light pink roses and lilies arranged in a brown vase with a ribbon tied in the middle. I’m okay even if you don’t have the right vase; sometimes it can be hard to get. But could you maybe at least put in flowers that look nice? The arrangement that arrived at my friend’s office consisted of flowers that didn’t even bloom yet! The flowers weren’t even in the right color. I mean, even if you didn’t have the picture of what it’s supposed to look like to compare to, when you see it, you’ll still say, «Oh man, that looks like a piece of crap.»
You just have to see the pictures. I don’t want to come off this mean in a review, but I am very unhappy with what was delivered.
