The center for Advanced Neuro Therapy is an amazing place. It helped me when I felt so very hopeless. Best money I have ever spent, Changed our lives! I’m not normally dramatic but when I talk about what this place has done for my kid, I want to use lots of !!! Something happened to my 12 yr. old but no Dr. could figure out what was wrong. All tests were fine but he was exhausted, slept all day but not at night, developed crazy anxiety, food sensitivities, didn’t want to leave the house or do anything he used to love (trampoline, run, soccer, read, friends). Carolyn & Steve helped us realize he had a brain injury. (He never hit his head so we didn’t know but it all started after a double flip on a trampoline where he pulled his neck muscles). In two months time, his anxiety went down, he could leave the house, be with people, without getting overstimulated. In 6 months he was back in school, hanging with friends, even going to dances. One year later he can have sleepovers & go to friends’ b’day parties. He still needs a day to recover after and school is still a struggle but his quality of life is SOOOO much better. Carolyn & Steve always have suggestions but I love that I get a choice to focus on the area I think is causing the biggest strain. It’s like a menu, «Shall we work on anxiety? drive & motivation? focus & attention?» Advanced Neurotherapy is a «Quality of Life Saver» with no side effects. Soon as my son his done, I’m signing up my husband. «Could you please stimulate the ‘obey his wife’ part of the brain, perhaps the neatness & organization part of his brain?»

When my physician referred me to Advanced Neurotherapy I suffered an injury that caused me severe pain, fibromyalgia, anxiety and depression. Carolyn Robertson’s guidance and Neurofeeback therapy has been invaluable to my return to a creative, productive life. This work enabled me to manage the pain, calmed the anxiety and depression, increased my mental clarity and enabled me to be creative again. I’m truly grateful to have received excellent care and results. It is life changing.

Before I discovered The Center for Advanced NeuroTherapy, I was at wit’s end. My son had been diagnosed with PTSD following a «wrong-​side» surgery that necessitated two follow-​up surgeries. My son was suffering from constant migraine headaches, was getting hurt frequently, was emotionally fragile, and had compromised executive functioning due to his trauma. I found out about the potential benefits of neurofeedback therapy, and while I was somewhat cynical, I thought I’d explore it as an option for my son.
We began with an intake by Carolyn as well as a QEEG, which showed that my son’s brain was «like a fighter pilot – on high stress and high alert.» While the changes happened over a period of a year-​and-​a-​half, they were profound and long-​lasting. The migraines gradually disappated, his moods became more stable, his executive functioning improved, and he stopped getting hurt as he did before.
I highly recommend Steve and Carolyn. Neurofeedback therapy, though an investment of time and money, is completely worth it – a far better option than a lifetime of pills and «band-​aids.» We met people with brain injuries, who had children with ADHD, Asperger’s, were suffering from migraines or wanted to simply improve their golf game (no joke). Neural pathways can evidently be created no matter what age we are, and Advanced Neurotherapy is one of the few places available to help. They really care, and it shows.

I’ve been receiving neurotherapy for over a year and my executive functions have increased in clarity and organizational abilities have become more focused and productive. I delight in the quiet, safe, and comfortable environment of this office and especially the one-​on-​one attention I receive from the staff and the therapists. Since the owner is certified with the BCIA-​EEG Board and keeps current by continuous ongoing studies, I am confident I am getting the best service possible.
