Joe and team did an awesome job for my Black Model X – I did the Xpel, Cquartz Finest, and Chrome delete and everything turned out awesome! During the process, Joe kept me posted with text updates/​photos and even made a few additional suggestions to make my car look sleeker! Will definitely use them again for my future needs!

What can I say that hasn’t already been said — Joe Torbati is truly the master! My Tesla X was the 1^st car that I’ve ever had any type of PPF or coating done and when I look at my car now, I’m just blown away by how great it looks and feels! I picked up my car this past Saturday, after Joe gave me an estimate on when it would be ready, and he was spot on with the timing of the completed work. No waiting around, no guesswork, just straight to the point as to how long he would take to do his magic.
So after showing me all the great work that he did, Joe offered to take a quick ride with us to point out issues with the car, since we had just taken delivery the week prior. Lo and behold, he pointed out seal flaws which goes to show how well he knows cars and now I have documentation to bring back to Tesla too.
On Sunday, we ended up driving 2-​hours to Merced for a grad and upon returning later in the day, I was able to follow Joe’s video on carwashing. It was a breeze because of the Xpel and Cquartz coating. I literally spent more time prepping the washing solution into a pump spray and bucket than the actual time it took to wash the car.
Simply amazing — Joe is a master of his craft and I am sooo glad I came across him in the Tesla Forums because I know my investment has the best protection possible.

I brought my new Porsche Macan S to Joe at OCDetailing; he came highly recommended by a close friend that had his Tesla worked on by the OCDetailing Team and was blown away by their quality and service. I had the same experience!
I had the following work done: Full paint protection, polishing wheel barrels inside and faces, Opti Coat Pro Plus on all painted surfaces and wheels, FlyByForte glass coating, Car pro dlux on all plastic trims, interior with Opti Guard, and XPEL coverage (front end, full bumper, lights mirrors, and lower rock area).
The work was outstanding, and Joe is such a perfectionist (and a world class guy), that he will do whatever it takes to have everything pristine. He even went above and beyond to fix a small dent and another section that had numerous scratches. I cannot recommend Joe and the OCDetailing Team enough. I will be taking all my future cars back to this place.

Just got my car back today from Joe at OCDetailing in Walnut Creek and the vehicle looks amazing! Paint correction, 70% of my car custom wrapped with Xpel & Cquartz inside. He went the extra mile of getting the many many scratches off my vehicle after it went to the Tesla SC for all the adjustments and corrections needed. I was very impressed with his pride and detail of work performed but was not very surprised to see 3x other Model X’s in his shop while I was picking up my vehicle. Joe should consider approaching Tesla and become their authorized dealer!

Joe and his team did an amazing job on my car. Full paint correction, detail and cquartz. Also had someone do the tints for me. We communicated back and forth over email a lot and he was even okay with me hanging out for a bit while finishing up the car.
Would highly recommend this place!

Joe was awesome. He fit me in with almost no notice and buffed three scratches out of my leased car, just two weeks before I had to return it after the lease. He stopped what he was doing as soon as I arrived and took care of the problem. Even better, he looked around the car after and found two other things he could fix. Thank you, Joe.

Got opticoat pro+ applied today on my ’16 Range Rover Autobiography. Joe was super nice and flexible to work with, no stress interaction. He put 3 coatings on all painted surfaces, including on top of front whole section with film wrapped prior from premier, removed and coated the 22″ wheels, glass surfaces (windows, roof etc). Also cleaned the car from inside. I also got all black pillers (abcd) custom covered with film! I’m happy so far. Got 7 years warranty and complimentary washes every few months and annual checkup. Will monitor how it holds up. Nothing but the 5 stars for Joe!

Joe and his team are truly exceptional. They really do treat each and every car as their own. I contacted Joe to schedule paint correction, Xpel, and Cquartz Finest coating for my car. He was very accommodating with getting me on the schedule, his pricing was competitive, and above all, his work is top notch. He takes the time to ensure everything is done perfect, and if it isn’t he will put in the effort to make sure it is by the time all is done. He even proactively schedules follow-​ups to make sure he looks over his work with a fresh set of eyes.

My last new car purchase was over 8 years ago and I was talked into buying the «paint armor» coating offered by the Infiniti dealer at the time. Worked pretty well but I didn’t know much about car detailing and other options at that time.
So when after I purchased a new Tesla Model S at the end of last year in 2015, I decided to get it polished up and protected. I went with the best. Joe T. is highly recommended in the local Tesla Motor Club blogs for detailing work in the SF Bay Area and by a good friend who’s owned several Teslas.
Joe and his crew are great! Brought over my new Tesla to his shop across the Bay. I’ve had the car for over 3 months now and finally decided to have it «tricked out» with what I think are the «basics»: Opticoat Pro and Pro Plus for the exterior (7 year life expectancy) and OptiGuard interior, plastic area protection with Car Port Dlux, glass protection with FlyByForte, and all with XPEL vinyl wrap/​clear bra underneath for the front facing and bottom facing elements such as the lower parts of the doors and rear quarter panel and door handles additionally including the panoramic roof border to help prevent small dings from debris off the road and other high scratch areas, tinted windows, the Blackvue 650GW-​2CH cloud front and rear dash cam system, and tire rim black gators to protect from curb scrapes. He even helped apply the HOV stickers!
While I dropped off my car for the week since it worked best for my work schedule, there were at least 2 other Tesla customers getting some work done or a follow up rinse wash and look over he recommends. It probably would have taken only 3 – 4 days but my only ride could only go a certain day earlier than he could start most of the work. I will bring my car back in a week or 2. I really loved the fact that he has worked on over 800 Tesla Model Ss and Xs and had so much experience for the paint and protection work. The color just just leaps off the car with the paint so well polished and corrected. I decide not to choose CQuartz coating since that’s only supposedly good for 2 years but it looked great too on a Tesla that was at his shop that day.
With this new car, I really wanted a dash cam since dings and accident repairs could be very expensive so wanted to make sure I could present and be able to have video evidence for this high end vehicle especially to grab license plate numbers.
Thus, I had been doing a lot of research on the Dash Cam Talk blogs. For Teslas, the Blackvue seems to be the all around favorite. There are other brands discussed but they have some issues. Most people on line show pictures and discuss the installation process as quite an extensive DIY project and I was actually dreading doing this. I didn’t want to see wires since I didn’t want to break something pulling panels off the interior of the car to hide them myself. I was so relieved to hear that he and his team have done over 80 installations and recommend the Blackvue with both regular and parking mode activated and good GPS signal fix. Some other brands have problems with the GPS due to the metallic layer in the windshield. Blackvue doesn’t seem to have this issue. You cannot see the front or rear cameras from the driver point of view which is impressive and everything has worked great. The images are great even with the tinted windows!
Car looks polished, awesome and fabulous. He’s going to go over how to rinse wash the car when I bring it back for a free check up in the next couple weeks.
Joe pays a lot of attention to detail and even delivered the car since I didn’t have a ride to his shop on the day I wanted to pick it up. He has been so accommodating. He replies to Unilocal messages right away. I missed my car but it was so worth it.

I took my brand new Tesla over her right after delivery to protect it against rock chips using XPEL as well as CQuartz for paint color protection to get the new car shiny look for years to come. Joseph is a sweetheart! He is so kind and so thorough with his work. He combs the car inch by inch to remove any scratches using proper lighting as well as apply the CQuartz to protect the car from paint fading and bring it to a more brilliant shine than when I first picked it up from the Fremont Tesla Factory.
I also had XPEL protection done to protect against rock chips and debris on the road. Tesla’s paint is environmentally friendly which is nice, But, it is soft. This leaves it more vulnerable to chips and debris on the road than other types of cars. Also, any fingerprints, can be seen easily. I have a 2011 BMW that has few issues with any rock chips and fingerprint stains are rarely seen. The first week I had the car, many fingerprints can be seen so I got a little OCD rubbing off every little stain I saw. It took too much time and I became obsessive so decided just to protect it. This is why I chose the CQUARTZ and XPEL combo. Spending a few thousand to protect a 100k+ car is definitely worth doing.
Joseph has worked on a few hundred Tesla’s prior, so I did trust that I was going to the best detailer and installer. He is 1 of only 2 CQUARTZ installers in the bay area. I took the hour and half drive from Morgan Hill to Walnut Creek just to see him. He treats his clients very well and takes a lot to time answering my questions and explaining how the products work. I had him also protect my gray seats since I have 3 small kids under 10 and they eat in the backseat. I am proud to say that after almost a year, my seats still look new. I was so impressed with his work that I took my BMW in for CQUARTZ as well as it had nice red leather seats I wanted to protect as well as remove scratches from the exterior.
While I was dropping off the Tesla last year, they were also working on Andrew Bogut’s
(Golden state Warriors) classic car that was dropped off there.

I don’t where to start, but telling you that Joe is the best is a must. I brought in my Toyota Avalon to get Xpel Ultimate and Opti-​Coat Pro applied. Joe went above and beyond for the service I paid for. He is very polite, courteous, and loves to throw around jokes, yet still knows when to be professional. He did a great job addressing my pre-​sale questions and concerns and letting me know the pros and cons of alternative products. His pricing was a wee bit higher than his competitors, but if you care about your car, take a look at OCDetaling’s Unilocal page photos, and you know you’re in good hands. He kept me updated on the progress of everything, and even sent my pictures of my car! Poor guy stayed up until 3am just to get Xpel applied to my Avalon’s front grills, and did a lot of extra things we didn’t initially talk about for no extra charge. The car came out amazing! I have no complaints, and I doubt you will either. He’s even offered to check up on the car in 2 weeks and give it a wash. I don’t review many things on Unilocal,but Joe’s service is something that you must know about.

Joe did a fantastic job on my Accord. WOW is all I can think off when I see my car now. I took some pictures in the sun ASAP and boy it looked so great. The black is almost blinding now to look at when reflecting off the sun. Amazing though definitely liked Joe’s recommendation of choosing Cquarts Finest over OptiCoat Pro. You can definitely tell it’s so much glossier. I highly recommend OCDetailing as they do a superb job when coating vehicles. He even invited me to come back in two weeks to make sure the coating is functioning properly. When picking up my car Ryan his brother picked me up from Bart and explained to me everything they did. Ryan even showed me his methods on cleaning the car without scratching the paint.

OCDetailing did a phenomenal job with my Tesla! I requested Opticoat Pro with Tints and Joe helped the car realize a 110% of its potential. He demonstrated professionalism and transparency throughout the process which was especially important since this was my first time detailing a car. The car was promised back in 3 days but it was done in 2 which was awesome. Upon pickup, he did a full walkaround with me to ensure my satisfaction with his work. Joe Torbati and crew are true craftsmen. They are the definition of OCD. Their attention to detail is second to none. I had them detail, wrap, clear bra and apply Cquartz finest on my 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat and most recently they went way above and beyond when they took care of my wife’s Lexus.
Being impressed with the work they did on my car, I brought them my wife’s lexus in for detailing and Cquartz finest. As they were detailing the car they realized the clear bra, not installed by them, had severe etching from hard water damage and was in need of being replaced.
When the original company that installed the clear bra came up with nothing but excuses as to why they couldn’t get my car in for 3 weeks and replace the clear bra that was a life time warranty, Joe removed and detailed and reinstalled the clear bra at a significant loss to him and his company. He charged me no labor and only charged me for the material at his cost. Removing clear bra is an 8 hour job, especially on a big vehicle. I know what I paid the first time and this was nowhere near that price.
Not only do Joe and crew provide exceptional service and craftsman quality work on every car. They truly value their customers and step up and provide excellent customer service when others come up with excuses and run from problems.
In this world where good customer service is the exception instead of the rule, these guys get it and have earned my business. I rarely get on Unilocal,but when someone hits a home run and goes way above and beyond. I feel obligated to let people know!

Emailed and got a response from Joe, very professional and very detailed information. Called numerous places and his prices were honest and accurate. Read a lot about the quality of his work on forums. Even though this time I wasnt able to bring my vehicle to him, I felt his communication and honesty was worth me writing the review. Will update in the future when I get a chance to see his work. If you guys do your research and read through forums, he does come highly recommended.

Huge disappointment. Had my original appointment postponed. Then, when I took a day off work to bring in my car for the detailing job on the new date, the date that the owner suggested, the dude wasn’t even there! The other guys in the shop didn’t see me on the appointment calendar either. And this was after I had texted a few days before that I was coming in. I waited around, then asked the guys in the shop to have The owner give me a call. Then I left. I wasn’t going to wait around all morning. He never bothered to call me. Others have written about their customer service here, but I got the royal shaft.

Even though I just bought a truck, I figured it was new and wanted to take care of it and also not have to worry about washing and waxing it too much. I felt like he took as good care of me as any of his other customers with the lamborghinis, ferraris, jags and teslas. He always seemed to have one in his shop!
I’ve gone to Joe for a number of reasons and every time it’s always a great experience. There’s a reason why I visit his shop even though I live in the South Bay. He has great attention to detail and cares for the work he does. It is definitely reflected in the final product. He gave me updates and kept me engaged in the process where appropriate. Whenever I had questions or had to call him for whatever reason, he was always prompt to respond. GREAT customer service.

Joe is the absolute best! He put opti-​coat and alloy gators on my Model S last year. My car is exposed to the elements all year round, so it needed some TLC. This month, I asked him to detail the car and add new gators. He was beyond accommodating — we dropped the car at his shop before our vacation and he even picked us up from the airport. My car looks amazing. I recommend him to everyone. The man has done hundreds of Teslas and other luxury cars. I trust him completely.

After deciding on what new car I wanted to buy, I started looking into wax options. I stumbled onto some good reviews on OCD and was intrigued by the Opticoat service and after thinking, decided to go for it. I bought my car, drove to the shop straight from the dealership, and dropped it off for the process — took about a week.
Joe is hands down one of the most professional I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I actually had a detailer that has done great work for me the past 8 years in SF, but Joes work makes me fine with now having to travel the extra 20 + miles to his shop vs in SF.
The Opticoat has been interesting as well. So far it’s been about 3 months and it still looks insanely awesome. Although pricey, if it lasts as long as they say, it will be well worth it and better than the wax approach I used to use.
Will definitely do business with OCD again and would give my highest recommendation to anyone.

Had my grey Model S Opti-​Coated by Joe & he also helped me set up window tinting, all about 3 days after my delivery date. He was able to accommodate with super short notice of only a few days when my delivery date got moved up. He even helped me charge the car during the treatment as it was on the low side.
Good price and high attention to detail. The Model S looks great, and Joe offered a free wash & detailing sometime in the near future, which I’ll take him up on soon.

I decided to have my new Audi Opti-​Coated at OCDetailing when I found out that Joe Torbati, the owner, was the same ‘Joe’ that used to work at Orinda Auto Detail. If you read their reviews, you’ll see his name mentioned often for doing great work.
The work he did on my car was outstanding. He performed hours of prep work to get the paint ready for 2 coats of Opti-​Coat Pro and a top coat of Opti-​Gloss. The wheels were removed and received one coat of Opti-​Pro inside and out and he even did the brake calipers. Joe did all the glass surfaces with Opti-​Glass and all the plastic lenses with Opti-​Lens. Finally, he and his business partner, Dan Smith, cleaned the interior and applied 2 coats of Opti-​Guard to all the leather, vinyl, and plastic surfaces as well as a 3^rd coat to high-​wear areas.
My car looks beautiful and will be easier to keep clean from now on. The paint color is much more intense and reflective than when I picked up the car at the dealer. I’m very happy with the work that was done.
OCDetailing is a bit more expensive than some of the other Opti-​Coat dealers, but Joe gives you much more for your money. Most places go with only one coat of Opti-​Coat on the paint, the wheel faces, and the windshield. Joe’s attention to detail on the polishing prep can’t be beat. His work is an excellent value for the money. He is also very personable and will gladly answer all your questions about the process.
