MSK Design Build is a Diamond Certified firm specializing in whole home renovations, kitchen remodels, bath remodels and home additions. We work with homeowners to create successful and comfortable home remodeling experiences. We partner with our clients to navigate through the myriad choices involved in planning and designing a remodel.

Our specialty is designing and creating spaces for people who plan to stay in their home for a while (or forever), and who are looking for creative design and detail, functionality and quality craftsmanship. We love cooks. We love people who see their bathrooms as a sanctuary. We love clients who want to incorporate design ideas from their various travels, and who will appreciate unique quartz, marble or granite countertop.

We handle all of the details to make the project run smoothly and efficiently. Our project manager works with you throughout the construction phase and monitors everything from the quality of work to the cleanliness of the jobsite. With skilled craftsmen, kitchen designers, and project managers on staff, the company strives to make remodeling an easy, manageable and worry-​free experience.

Our intuitive and easy to use interactive software program allows you to manage and monitor your project schedule, product choices, communications, expenses and payments from your computer or smartphone.

History

Established in 2001.

Scott Westby opened the doors to Main Street Kitchens in 2001. He brought together a talented team of designers, as well as highly skilled craftsmen, most of whom are still with him today. MSK also became an authorized dealer for Crystal and Hertco cabinetry, as well as Cambria and Caesarstone counter tops. MSK has been a thriving business ever since, partnering with great customers with whom the team has the privilege of working again and again, and who refer their friends and family. In 2012, Scott moved the business to Quail Court in Walnut Creek, changed the name to MSK Design Build, and has been focusing on design build projects, specializing in kitchen and whole home remodels and additions.

Scott Westby loves to build. Having grown up in a family of builders, he’s always had a passion for designing and building projects. Scott received a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from North Dakota State University, and an MBA and JD from the University of Oregon. After years as a successful attorney, Scott decided to pursue his passion, and so he designed and built his design build showroom, Main Street Kitchens. Scott’s love of architectural detail, his creative & visionary design team, and his quality construction crew have won MSK Design Build 13 design awards since 2005, including Regional Contractor of the Year award for 2012. People trust Scott and his team, and return to work with the team again, because MSK Design Build delivers quality remodels on time, within budget, and they stand behind every job.
