Mister Sparky Electric

A gentleman named David Johnson came to our door to help us with an electrical problem. He was amazing, very informative and a great help. Very friendly great personality. He made us feel comfortable and confident in him. We will be calling and asking for David in the future if we need more work! Thanks David for keeping my family safe you totally rock!

I would give Mr Sparky 0 stars!
Do not call this company to do any work in your house. This company came to fix a small electrical problem and charged us over $ 6000! They gave us several different quotes before deciding on one that was outrageous. They told us our house could burn down if we did not get this fixed ASAP so of course we were concerned and we had it fixed right away. Well, we got ripped off! Another company told us they could have fixed the problem for just over $ 1000. They took advantage of us because we live in a nice neighborhood and figured we could afford it. They also reccommended their sister company One Hour Heating and Air conditioning and they told us we needed a new furnace and that we also needed to completely redo how our heating and air was set up throughout the house. The guy was rude and stayed at our house for over an hour telling us all the things we needed to have done that were completely wrong with our house. Just the furnace alone would have cost us $ 7000! We got three other estimates and ended up paying only $ 300 to have our furnace fixed and it is running perfectly. I would not reccomend Mr Sparky or One Hour heating to anyone who needs to have work done in their home. Beware of these companies.

Do not call Mr. Sparky!
I called because I was a member of the «Home Protection Club» that includes Mr. Sparky, One-​Hour Heating A/​C and Benjamin Plumbing and would get a discount. After the first missed appointment, a technican came and accessed our problem and gave use a qoute for $ 4,734 to correct the wiring and replace the breaker box. We called for a 2^nd opinion from Roberts Electric. We ended up with a $ 625 charge (4hrs of labor and $ 170 in materials) for re-​wiring and using the existing breaker box.
Mr. Sparky and whatever company owns this mess it out to make money. I think they are taking advantage of seniors by saying «what you have here is not safe». The Roberts Electric technican said everything in our home was safe.

I’m updating my previous one star rating to three stars because in the end, not only did they follow up and complete the work, but they did so with a signficant discount to make up for the scheduling frustrations. I would give them another chance.
