Lashfully

I wanted to like this place. It’s really well done and pretty. My lashes were great, no problem. But after they came off, I had zero natural lashes left. I won’t be getting these done again.

First appointment was scheduled with Rahwa in WC on ¹²⁄₂₁ and it was canceled a few hours before the appointment due to an emergency, no problem.
Second attempted appointment scheduled for ¹²⁄₂₃ with Stephanie. I make arrangements to leave work early-​get there on time, paid $ 3 for parking and no one is there. Anytime I tried to call the wc # I get redirected to the SF location. I explain what happened, the receptionist says she can’t get a hold of the owner but takes my # and promises to have her call me back and offers me another appointment for ¹²⁄₂₆ with Rahwa. (Never got the call from the owner but received an email confirming my appointment as I always did.)
Third attempted appointment-​I call before my appointment (for which the call was again redirected to SF location) and the receptionist promised that someone would be there and my appointment was secured in wc with Rahwa.
Once again, I drive out there, pay another $ 3 for parking and lights are out. I call and speak to the same receptionist and at this point I ask what her name is– she says she can’t give me her name?! and just said the owner would personally call me back. No response since. What a joke.
Three strikes of canceled/​no shows, time wasted to drive there, $ 6 in parking & not a single call back or apology… I’m pretty much done. Just bad business that the owner and the receptionist at the SF location could care less.

I went here for the first time in July, and had a pleasant experience. The following two times I had a different lash artist and my experience wasn’t great. I have had lashes for nearly 1.5 years and had a great lash artist in AZ before I moved to the bay area. When I went in July the service was great. My second and third experiences were incredibly disappointing. The artist doing my lashes the second and third times glued tons of my bottom lashes to the extensions and had me try and open my eyes (ouch) to see which ones to separate. When this had happened previously the lash artist separated them gently by examining the lashes, while my eyes were closed. I ended up having to pull out multiple extensions in the car that were attached soley to my bottom lashes. Not only did the lash artist hurt me but she did a very asymmetrical job, and at $ 75 a fill it’s definitely not worth it. I know I should’ve said something but the lash artist gave off a very know it all atitude and I was not about to agrue.

Went to Desiree, because of her many good reviews. Will never go to her again! She was extremely rough and pulled out several lashes at the roots. Previously went to Alicia who was great, however she left. Then after went to Desiree, a diaster, then Jade, whom I really like, she is very good

This was my first time getting extensions and saw a Groupon for a partial set. I went to the Walnut Creek, beautifully decorated, location first (Thursday) to get more info on how lashes are applied, what lashes are used, length, etc… I met the artist that did my lashes and picked out which style lash I would want and booked an appt a couple days later (Saturday). I was excited!
I don’t want to mention names, but the girl who greeted me and made my appt was extremely nice as well as the artist who did my lashes. I give them 5 stars.
I gave 2 stars though because during my appt I was told my eye might be a little irritated due to the vapors from the glue. Ok cool, didn’t think anything of it and figured it would go away once aired out and dried. My eyes were slightly red… still no big deal. I also thought ok maybe it’s my seasonal allergies.
As my Saturday progressed, my eyes got worse. I took an allergy pill to rule that problem out, but when I woke up yesterday morning, I knew it wasn’t my allergies as my allergies never had me waking up with crusty eyes and mucous along with blood shot eyes.
Walnut Creek is closed on Sundays so I had to wait until Monday to go back and ask what’s happening to my eyes. Monday has arrived and I didn’t go to work because my eyes were swollen, felt like sand particles are constantly in my eyes, and constantly red. I kept using eye drops to try and alleviate the redness. I called at 10:30am, no answer, got answering machine. I called again at 11am, no answer, got answering machine that stated they’re open Mon-​Sat. I’m thinking ok, maybe they’re busy with a client, so I drove there and found they were CLOSED! I don’t know why, but now I have to wait til the next day.
Meanwhile, I did research online of what could be causing my eye irritation and have concluded that I must be allergic to «formaldehyde», a chemical in the glue used. I’ve used falsies before and wondered why my eyes would get slightly irritated and always thought it was the weight of the lashes, so I would easily take the falsies off… problem solved. Now I know it’s the formaldehyde because I checked the glue ingredients I used at home and it says «contains formaldehyde», so I tossed the glue. I called other lash extension places in WC to see if they can remove the lashes for me, I didn’t care if I had to pay a fee, but they were all about to close or they were booked. I just wanted the lashes removed so I asked if I can remove them myself at home and one place suggested I don’t. I Googled how to safely remove them myself and the remedy I tried didn’t work.
My tip is if you’re going to get lash extensions for the first time to ask if the glue they use contains formaldehyde if you already know you’re allergic to that chemical. I’m going to attempt asking for a refund, NOT because of the service, but for the unavailability of not being around on a work day I thought they’d be open on.

Know that writing this gives me no pleasure. I just think you ought to know.
Lashfully was great. I had been a customer (I hate to say client) for about two years, I loved my lash artist (Desiree). However, in the last 7 – 10 months Lashfully has changed. I don’t know what happened but it’s no longer a reliable business.
On several (7 – 8) occasions I’ve had appointments changed, lash artists changed (3 in the last two months) late starts and mixed results. The receptionists change weekly, the phone is NEVER answered and sometimes the receptionist is the lash artist. That’s not very professional.
My daughter is getting her lashes fixed right now and the woman doing them says her current lashes are messy.
Also, there is no real reason for their forcing a new customer to pay for a new set just because they got their lashes somewhere else. That’s just greedy.
Do your research and go somewhere else.
I’m sorry Lashfully but you brought this review on yourself.

I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED!!! I’ve been a loyal client to lashfully for over two and a half years I came in every 3 weeks on the regular and I’ve referred over a dozen women to this location. I bought a special they were offering about 6 months ago paid in full. And now I’ve called to make an appointment with them and they will NOT HONOR THE SPECIAL THAT I PURCHASED because they say they cannot remember it!!! I’ve spoken to two receptionist and a manager and left messages for the owner to contact me. Now Im being blown off!!! I am furious and I think this is poor business. I’m not asking for any refunds or anything that I’m not owed. Fair is fair! The customer service is AWFUL! I had to call 3 times to even get someone on the phone just to schedule the appointment that I am DEFIANTLY NOT GOING TOO! Most of their good technicians have moved on and now I see why! Good luck if you choose to continue with Walnut Creek Lashfully you’ll need it.

Absolutely loved my experience here. Awesome customer service AND beautiful lashes = win, win. Christina was the one who did my lashes– she really took her time on me. My lashes has been lasting for about 4 weeks and at the other place I went to… my lashes fell off in the first two weeks. Thank you so much Christina for my lashes and our pep talk! :) Can’t wait to come back for my fills!
Also, shout our to the beautiful receptionist there too! Super cool and made me feel comfortable. Setting up an appointment was simple and fast! Thanks for your help ladies!

I received a call RIGHT after my review from liv the manager. She’s a really sweet lady! She had me come back and she sincerely apologized about the services I received ! I went back and liv had another employee do a full set on me. The lashes lasted weeks !!! But just weren’t full enough for me (probably due to my thin lashes) but my service was great and the quality was great. Thank you Liv for your awesome service

I normally don’t get lash extensions, but whenever I’m going to a special occasion event and want to go all out they’re my go to place. They do a great job and it’s easy to schedule an appointment with them. The salon is small but clean and stylish.

To be completely honest my eyelashes came out ok… I had mentioned to the tech when she was done that my left eye and right eye looked diff her response was remember they are cousins and not sisters! Umm. Ok but if I’m paying you $ you should probably fix it so the customer is satisfied? This place is no better than any other lash place I have been too will not be returning.

I purchased a Unilocal deal, $ 90 for $ 150 worth.
Its $ 150 for a full set of lashes.
I went here because I wanted lashes for a vacation in Cabo I was going on and wanted a natural glam look without applying eye make up. The lashes did well on my trip even considering the weather and lasted me about a good 3 weeks until I needed a touch-​up.
The lady that did mine (I forget her name) she did a good job on the initial full set, and I was happy with.
I came back 4 weeks later for a refill set which was $ 90, and the same woman applied them. If you don’t have a membership you can just do refills but they can’t be past 4 weeks for it to remain $ 90, but even that is still really pricey. She didn’t do as good of a job this time because they seemed shorter and one lash was totally off and I couldn’t fix it. I just said whatever about it and let it go.
I made another appointment 4 weeks later, because I still enjoyed having long lashes, but come the day, I was not able to go and they charged my card $ 25 fee without notice and I forgot they had my card on file! That was the last of this place.
Although, the ambiance of the place is really cutesy and they offer treats and refreshments in their lounge area. The hostess is very welcoming as well.
I hated the fact that I couldn’t wash my eyes, I loved the luxury and look of it, but maintenance and upkeep is such a pain in the ass. And when I wanted to wear eye shadow and liquid liner, they would get screwwwed!
I would only recommend lashes for a lavish occasion, because this stuff isn’t cheap and the quality and occasion better be well worth it.

I get eyelash extensions often and I was looking for a new place to go that’s close to my work. I was referred to Lashfully by someone at Encore and I was excited to try our their extensions since they have good Unilocal reviews. I got a half set and they were barely noticeable. I was planning on going back to receive a full set but I noticed immediately that lashes started to fall out… I’m so disappointed to say that my lashes only lasted 3 days :(I had them done right before a trip to NY and I was embarrassed to have only a few lashes remaining. I’ve never had this happen at any of the other places that I’ve been.
I’m so bummed to give Lashfully 2 stars (the stars are because of how nice, cute and clean the place is and how nice the employees are). I was really hoping to have a good outcome here since it’s so close to my work.

I cannot say enough good things about my lashes! I absolutely love them!
I have gone to a couple other salons and Lashfully, by far, is the best. My artist, Ashlee, did a phenomenal job! She was knowledgable, experienced and very gentle. She gave me the perfect look for my eye shape and thoroughly listened to my desired results and ultimately exceeded my expectations!
I haven’t had any issues with my extensions. Quite the opposite! I get compliments daily! Love them!
I will definitely be returning!

After an initial bad experience, and a Unilocal review I posted… I was contacted by one of the owners, Liv.
She was very professional and genuinely concerned about losing clientele. In order to rectify the situation she offered me two free fills, or one full new set. I chose the fills as I have a fairly new set of lashes and wish to keep them. I was very pleased with the way their management handled themselves.
I am headed in next week for the fill, which Liv will be doing herself. I will update my review after my service.

I am in love with my eyelash extensions!
Maggie did my extensions and she was super sweet and did a great job! I have had these done in the past (else where) and Maggie was quicker and more skilled than in my past experience with others. I have decent eyelashes to begin with and wanted to make sure the extensions wouldn’t negatively affect my natural lashes — Maggie was informative and I am extremely happy with the results! I have no discomfort and overall it was a great experience! I definitely would recommend Maggie.
((The only reason I have 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a little more expensive than some other places.))

Got my lashes done here about a month ago. Natalie did my lashes and they looked great! I guess they are supposed to last about 2 or 3 weeks but I still have a few stragglers left. I’ve never had this done so I didn’t know what to expect. My eyes were really watery and twitchy but they still turned out nice. Natalie was very nice and patient when I needed a break. The shop is very cute and clean as well.
**Update** so when she was doing my lashes a few times she needed to use a remover. It hurt so bad it was like someone punched me in the face! Well I found out they just use plain old NAIL POLISH REMOVER! Would you put that in or around your eyes? Is that normal? Either way I’m never doing that again.

I had my lashes done for the first time for my wedding by Desiree and they are fab! I was a little nervous about the process but Desiree made me feel comfortable. She took her time and my lashes came out wonderfully. I wanted a dramatic look and she achieved that perfectly. It’s been 13 days since I had my lashes done and they still look amazing.

I loved my eyelashes once they were done :) I’ve never had them before and I received a gift certificate from a good friend. I had Jade and she was amazing. For those who have never had lash extensions let me explain the process:
It can take up to 1.5 hours, so do block off time.
You’ll have to close your eyes for the ENTIRE time, so please calm yourself. The aesthetician puts this «cold» «gel» pad between your eye lids, just so slightly. It can irritate a little if it’s not placed properly.
The application of eyelashes is on each INDIVIDUAL eyelash. The more eyelashes you have the fuller your falsies will be obviously.
While I loved them, I’m not sure if I would do them again. Maintenance is too much work and that’s just not who I am.
— Can’t shower/​wash your face for 24 hours.
— Future: no shampoo or conditioner on your face (difficulty when showering)
— No waterproof mascara
— No crayon eye liner
— Oil-​free make up, cleaner only
— No rubbing your eyes AT ALL
— No sleeping with your face into the pillow
— Must brush your lashes daily, if not twice a daily.
This is definitely a great place to go though. I would return if I had a special occasion.

When I got married almost 3 years ago now, and we were going to honeymoon in Maui, I decided I didn’t want to fuss with mascara or the Tammy Faye Baker look if I cried (which happens often and incidentally, my middle name really IS Faye). I had a makeup artist come to my home and bestow me with long lashes that didn’t clump, run or hurt. I really liked the look and had them done one other time, but then decided it wasn’t something I wanted to keep up with (I am not that high maintenance) so I went back to my regular old routine with an occasional trip to the drug store for some DIY eyelashes for «special times» (like the YEE Pink Party).
I am embarking on a new decade shortly-​the big 4 – 0 in 3 days and we are going to Vegas to see a show, eat some hopefully delicious food and for me-​to play a bunch of poker (after all, playing poker is how I met my husband). A couple of my friends from high school are joining us, as is my Mom and a friend of hers and one of my husband’s cousins who I adore. It should be a great time. Since this is a «special occasion», I decided I should treat myself to some pretty lashes that I didn’t have to fuss with myself and due to the powers of Unilocal,I found this location of Lashfully (they have several others) and made an appointment.
This location is brand new and the outside still has paper in the windows, but the inside has a very nice set up with a comfy couch for waiting, a lovely receptionist and some really great music that I enjoyed thoroughly. My appointment was with Desiree who was an absolute doll and very professional. Getting a «full set» of lashes takes almost 2 hours, a fill takes about 45 minutes. Make sure you have enough quarters to fill a 2 hour meter or park in a garage close by to walk. I was lucky to have finished my appointment before the parking police caught up with me!
The lashes are supposed to last about 3 weeks and then start falling out if directions are followed properly. I may decide it is worth getting a «fill» and even my teen queen told me last night they looked «awesome»!
