Kang’s Taekwondo Academy

My child attended her first day. Have not heard from them since. I’ve left 5 messsges. They are 20+ miles from me. It’s far, but they had a introductory promo so my sister and I both signed our daughters up.
They told my sister, my niece can only attend tues, Thursday and Friday at 4:30. By the time they get out is 5:30. Getting home is a nightmare, and they wouldn’t over any other time options.

Kang’s Academy develops the whole person both the physical and mental. I am proof! I have been a student at Kangs’s Taekwondo Academy for over 7 years. When I first started at Kang’s I was extremely sick, severely overmedicated, overweight and my confidence was exteremely low to the point that I was too afraid to do classes I only wanted private lessons. Kwan Jang Nim Kang and Master Choi were so incredibly supportive and patient with me and instilled in me that I COULD DO IT! When I was so sick their encouragement that I COULD DO IT is what got me through it and essentially SAVED MY LIFE and I will be forever grateful for this gift.
At Kang’s you will develop Taekwondo skills at your or your child’s pace… they are NOT black belt puppy mill that cranks out the Black Belts — you acheive the belt when you have developed the necessary skills. They have an incredible group of Masters and Instructors that work with every student to be the best they can be at the right pace for each student as everyone is different. If you want a black belt just to say you are a black belt don’t go here because that not what Kang’s is about. At Kang’s you are developing Taekwondo skills to be utilize for the rest of your life it’s not a race it is a journey.
If you want your child or yourself to develop/​improve on life/​mental skills and be great at Taekwondo in a supportive and fun environment Kang’s Academy is the place. You will learn sparring, self-​defense, do fantastic conditioning, improve life skills yes even me as adult I’ve improved on my patience, stress level and confidence. You will develop the physical skills and the mental fortitued to make you a great Taekwondo student and all around better person.
If you are wondering yes, I was a gym rat at a high end gym… the elipitical machine or a spin class was my exercise of choice. I would do an hour+ on the machine/​class daily no problem but I didn’t lose the weight and my health didn’t improve until I started at Kang’s then I got my health and confidence back. I’ve lost 7+ inches from my waist. I am stronger than I’ve ever been– I now love situps and pushups (crazy right), my confidence has soared and I’ve developed awesome taekwondo skills. I have a great group of friends from the Dojang. Friendships are developed at Kang’s that go beyond the walls of the Dojang. Senior student are always encouraging and supportive of junior students.
As I said in the beginning, you will develop not only the technical/​physical skills of Taekwondo but the mental skills whether its improved confidence, listening, self-​control or patience. If you are considering Taekwondo I highly recommend Kang’s as it was life changing for me and if you asked the kids at the school you will hear the same. So come check Kang’s Taekwondo Academy out!

Master Kang, Mr. Harrison, and the others, at Kang’s, have been our two children’s TKD instructors since 2004. My son, now 17, achieved his Black Belt First Degree, and my daughter is out with an unrelated dance injury for now. Kang’s exemplifies high skill, great character, great respect, and professionalism. It has been our honor to be with them as our children have grown up with their outstanding influence (and continue to do so).

We enrolled our 4 year old son in order to boost his confidence and improve his listening and attention skills. In the few months of going to the academy, my son has shown great improvement and more maturity beyond what we would expect for his age. The instructor, who goes by Mr. Che as well as his assistants (at various levels if belt achievements) treat my son with great respect and kindness. He has developed a great trust of them and rely enjoys his time there. Also? They are installing great values of respect, kindness and charity. I recommend Kang’s academy without reservation.
