Dr Wadhera is an artist with his needle! LOVELOVELOVE him. I have had treatments from oodles of East Bay dermatologists … Some very elite, high profile offices; and I would put Dr Wadhera at the top of list. He is only in Walnut Creek one day a month so you need to book Way in advance! The reason I gave only 4 Stars is because I’ve had very mixed results from the estitician …

I had a very pleasant experience here, which was surprising to me because usually Kaiser disappoints. I called on a Thursday for a consultation to remove several moles on my face, and it turned out that they had a cancellation and I was granted a Saturday morning appointment. I arrived at 9:45 for a 10am appt, and I was called back literally one minute after I sat down. The doctor came in to see me by 9:50, consulted and, with my blessing, performed the procedure on the spot. Dr. Michael was very knowledgeable and friendly, and answered all of my questions and then some. I was very pleased to be out of there by 10:15! Quick and painless! Will come here again, for sure!

I have had a really good experience here. At my consultation appointment, Denise(my esthetician) was very attentive to my skin concerns and made sure of my skin sensitivity level before we decided to proceed forward and book a chemical peel appointment. At the peel appointment, she was again very careful to make sure my skin was doing well with the glycolic acid application. I felt very well taken care of. Granted this is the only place I’ve visited an esthetician, but I very much enjoyed my experience and the results of my peel — I’ve booked another one in 6 weeks. Plus, during my consultation she gave me a bunch of cool skincare samples!

It’s my fault. I paid for an esthetician consultation. I should have researched more on what estheticians did. Although the consult fee was only $ 45, I don’t believe I got what I paid for. 1. She was late for my consulting appointment which is not a big deal. The rub was when she said she was late for her next appt before my consult time was up. 2. Instead of looking at my skin and advising me about things I can do to improve it, I felt she was hard selling me her products. Obagi, Skinceuticals, Skinmedica. I already use skinceutical stuff and so she tried to sell me skinmedica. 3. I did not come here to get brochures. I can do that on my own through the internet. What I wanted was her time to look my concerns and give me advice. I received neither. 4. Most basic example of not listening: I told her I have dry skin. She gave me a sample for oily skin. She said I have sensitive skin and glycolic peels are too strong. At the end of consult, she said she can do a glycolic peel. I don’t mind paying for service and advice. I just feel like a sucker for not leaving 5 minutes in. I should have known when her office looked like a storefront, complete with posters and display around the entire room. Bottom line is I feel like I wasted my time and money.

Besides the extremely long amount of time you must wait to get in to see a doctor, the worst part is trying to get an appt. for cosmetic dermatology services. They never answer the phone and you have to leave a message. Sometimes it takes several days before they call you back and if you are unable to answer the phone when they DO call back, you’re in deep doo doo. Then you have to call them again, leave them another message and wait another 2 days for a return call. I just don’t get it. They can’t afford to hire a receptionist to book appts??? Nice going Kaiser.

The staff here is amazing — so knowledgeable and friendly! Unlike a med spa, at least here you know that you are being treated by qualified doctors and nurses. I had laser vein treatment on my face for some tiny red veins that I unfortunately inherited from my dad. The treatment was easy, painless, and I had wonderful results, noticeable just a few days after treatment! Very impressed!!! The only downside is you have to wait literally months for an appointment. It’s worth it though. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for laser treatment.

I did a review of the Park Shadelands Medical Offices, but this is specific to the dermatology wing. I’ve had several problems with a couple of the doctors here. One, after waiting a month to be seen, told me not to exercise so much and sent me home. Another prescribed a medication which I found out after paying for and upon picking up causes severe birth defects in pregnant mothers. And the only reason I found out was that the pharmacist made a face and let it slip. I was shocked because I had told them I was on no prescription birth control. Which apparently you are supposed to be on while taking those meds. At this point in my life, I no longer go to this Kaiser facility. It’s not worth trying to work my schedule around the weekday only, before 5 appointments that I have to make a month in advance. I also just got sick of always feeling out of the loop. Which with this place, you get pretty frequently.

Dr. Wadhera gave me Botox. He’s really straightforward — it’s great. He gave my brows a little lift so they are more arched. Pretty neat. Hurt a lot less than I expected. No hard sell. It’s in the Kaiser medical center. He was very friendly.
