A stylish, upscale Thai bistro in the heart of stylish, upscale Walnut Creek.(It’s very close to Fleming’s and Va De Vi!) A nice selection of specialty cocktails, deliciously prepared Thai food with an impressive presentation, and a good number of vegetarian options. A collared shirt paired with nice denim is a safe bet for this place. Can get pretty busy on the weekends, so make a reservation to be on the safe side.

Excellent food. All the dishes are delicious. Try the pineapple fried rice or the crab fried rice, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a busy little bistro and deservingly so. The staff are so polite and courteous, always with a smile or bow. And of course my fav dessert … Fried banana! Y U M M Y!

didn’t even have to go to the place to rate. I called to ask about the cocktail menu and the guy who picked up the phone angrily yelled at me that they don’t have the drink and just hung up! so rude.

I love love love their chu chee dishes. I ordered their seafood chu chee and their sauce was amazing. It was so good to pour on top of rice. I also loved their pad thai. The texture of the noodles and firmness was just perfect. The food wasnt too spicy too. I felt like it was just right that you can taste the flavors with a kick. I will definitely keep coming back.

MMMMMM. My favorite place to get Thai in the area. They have great service, refill your wine glasses promptly, fast food delivery, and friendly staff. Some favorites here are the Gang Gari Gai(yellow curry) and the Pad See Eew(noodle dish). I love how flavorful all their dishes are and a decent size to share!

Great lunch specials! Good price and portion. I recommend the ginger chicken(FYI comes with shrimp). Service was kind of slow as we had to flag our waiter down in order to pay the bill, but it was a very busy during the holiday season so I’m not complaining. I caught up with some friends I hadn’t seen in a long time and I really appreciated that they didn’t rush us even long after we were done eating.

Best pad sie ew in East County. Think I love it because they use Chinese brocoli. Their chicken curry is delicious. So tender & you can tell they cook it with love. Service can be a little slow sometimes, especially with just starting off with drinks. But I notice they only have 2 waiters for a room of almost 30 people. Perfect for date night. Came here for lunch with my family & they were a bit disappointed by the slower service, but enjoyed the food. Still would be back for that pad sie ew(;

I love Thai food — and Kacha Thai is one of my favorites. The Tom Kha soup is probably the best in the area — so good! I also LOVE the Lychee Mojito. Just about everything I’ve eaten here has been good. They have a great happy hour and parking is easy in the parking structure. Also, they have great lunch specials!

When we came in, servers even didn’t see us and didn’t gave us menu. We were customers but they acted like we were strangers. We felt sooooo bad because they served other people well. It was definitely descrimination. So I gave litte tip because I thought service was terrible, but after we left, the server who was wearing a hat and has a curly, a little bit long hair CHASEDUS on the road and asked us why I gave tip to him like this, what’s our names and where are we from. HEALSOSAIDME «WHATYOUDIDWASREALLYBAD!» and he acted like fxxking teach me. We felt like the server threaten us. I asked him«why you’re asking where I’m from?» And he left with angry face. Actually, It doesn’t matter where I’m from, Huh? I’m just customer!!! We’ll never go there again and DONOTGO!!! THEIRSERVICESUCKS!

Located in Downtown Walnut Creek, Kacha Thai Bistro is a nice restaurant that has a dark, more upscale atmosphere. The service we were exposed to was patient as our group took a little time to all get there. It wasn’t a super busy night but they never rushed us or pressed us to leave. It’s appreciated when we’re all catching up for the holidays. We ordered the soft shell crab and wings for appetizers. For the main course we split the roast duck, a curry and some pineapple fried rice. All the food was flavorful, portions weren’t what I’d call generous but it was ok. All in all it was a nice experience.

Kacha Thai Bistro has good Thai food. The ambiance and service is excellent. Free parking in the parking structure connected to the building. The prices are extremely high for Thai Cuisine. A Chicken Larb appetizer, Seafood Tom Yum Soup, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Seafood Madness, $ 70 before tip. All of the dishes were good and the changing wall lighting was entertaining. On Saturday night 6:45 pm soon after we were seated there were throngs of people waiting.

I love the ambiance, staff and of course great food… Parking is a bit of a problem if you have to quickly pick up an order, you have to park in the big garage no easy access… Fourth Visit: We went to this joint last weekend for dinner and it was noisy(we love it), long wait time oh well it was all good in the end. We were a party of 6 and it took about 45mins to find seating. Like always parking is a pain, especially with the movie theater right next to it(Tip: pick a time when there isn’t a movie starting for you find parking in the attached garage). It took some time/patience from our waiter to take our order(we were a bit boisterous) he did an awesome job. They have good ambiance, nice staff of course and yummy food… The speciality drinks on the other hand are not that great but not bad either(in our opinion)…

Just as others mentioned the pumpkin curry is amazing, we got the vegetarian and it had a variety of vegetables and tofu and it came in a pumpkin. We also ordered the Duo Delight(fried tofu and taro) appetizer, the taro was perfect — not too much batter and just the right thickness. Here’s a few other dishes we tried: –Tod mon(fish cake) — this was not what I was expecting, instead of the typical Japanese/Taiwanese style fish cake, this one was a bit more dense, spices more intense, but still good especially with the sweet cucumber salad it came with –Salmon Chu Chee — came with a large piece of salmon, the sauce tasted like red curry and came with a good amount of vegetables –Pad see eew — classic dish for me for Thai restaurants and theirs had great flavor Came here on a Thursday night a bit after 7 and we were seated right away, but the place filled up and people were waiting by the time we finished. The service was just ok and definitely slowed down when they got busier. Overall it was a great dinner and I would definitely recommend checking it out!

One of the reasons to eat here is the pumpkin curry. It is awesome. I almost wish the pumpkin bowl was cooked so I could scrape it and eat it. Not necessary though as the food in the bowl is enough. The drinks were pretty good!

Came here for lunch special, I’ve heard so many positive things about the food here. The first look when you enter the restaurant is that the interior is beautiful. The have a nice bar area and a lot of seating. Overtime I pass by on the weekends, its always busy and lots of people waiting. So coming here during the week is probably for you if you want to skip the crowds. I had the lunch special. I ordered the Beef Satay, Yellow Curry, and it also came with a side of soup. The beef satay came with some peanut sauce, it was a little weird, and it was just alright. I had the green curry and the flavor was just ok. I usually don’t order thai curries and prefer pad thai or pad se ew, I decided to change it up and try something different and it just didn’t work out. I think the best tasting dish of the lunch special is the the side soup. It had lots of flavor, it had like a coconut base and the shredded chicken inside works well with the soup. Aside from that I didn’t really finish my food. The service was cool, nothing negative to say there. For lunch special, I think you can give them a try. It was only $ 12 for a decent amount of food… but If i had to pay regular prices, then forget it. They’re many good thai places in the area and Kamcha is just Meh… But I can’t blame them, based on the location.

We were tired of our usual Thai spot in the East Bay, so I asked a local to recommend a place for our family celebration. Without hesitation, she said, «Kacha Thai. It’s part of the shopping complex, but really, really good.» SOLD. This modern Thai spot in downtown Walnut Creek boasts of swanky décor, friendly staff and mind blowing dishes. Let’s not forget the full bar with great liquor selection, hey, we got ourselves a winner! I only had one cocktail for the night and I wanted it to be light and refreshing.(I ride BART back to the city and as you know #crazypeopleonthetrain) The Tea Cooler with Death’s Door gin, lime, simple syrup was highlighted with basil leaves and cucumber. Just what I needed. Being the only Unilocaler in the fam, I’m always entrusted with the food ordering(because I also pay the bill?) We went to town with several dishes, I even forgot to take pictures of some as we were busy eating! For 5 hungry people, we all shared the following: — Fried calamari with sweet plum sauce — Bangkok rib: grilled marinated baby back ribs with Thai style sauce — Pumpkin curry — Papaya salad — Pineapple fried rice — Panang nur: a thick, mild red curry with veggies and beef cubes — Pad Thai — Pad See Ew — Pad prig king: our old standby with ground chicken, lots of pepper and thail basil — Fried banana with ice cream — Mango Panna cotta EVERYTHING(except the desserts) were all exceptionally prepared. Flavors were on point, some authentic, some fusion-y but it all worked. Prices might seem high at first glance on the menu, but you definitely get your money’s worth due to the ample portions. Save for the desserts, which were just so-so, I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a great space with amazing food. East Bay is getting better and better each time I visit. Can’t wait to move here ;-)

Delicious food. Fantastic service. Swanky décor. Kacha Thai Bistro is a modern Thai restaurant which also implies that portions are a bit smaller than the usual hole-in-the-wall Thai place, though the dishes are still filling. Nothing comes with rice(except for the obvious fried rice), so expect to pay $ 1.50 per person for a bowl of it. Even with this oddity, Kacha Thai Bistro is my new favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek. Parking options include paid street parking, free parking in the movie theater garage east of the restaurant, or free parking in the shopping garage south of the restaurant by Sports Authority.

I had some expectations for this place, not too high, but definitely didn’t expect it to be as bad as it was. Parking: On a busy night in WC, parking is hell. I ended up parking really far and walking, but it wasn’t bad of a walk at all. There is a public parking garage, but don’t expect to find a spot on a busy night. especially weekends. Ambiance: Casual, yet classy! It’s a bit hard to see due to the really dim lighting. I sat by a window and still thought it was too dark. Customer Service: The only good part of dining here, we had a nice waiter that was always around to refill our cold and hot drinks for us, without being overbearing in any way. I liked him a lot! Food: I had the papaya salad and I added shrimp to it. The presentation of my dish was great, but the salad was completely bland and tasteless. It was supposed to be savory, but I found it more sweet than savory. The shrimp had absolutely no flavor at all. It’s like it was cooked and thrown into the salad, I paid $ 2.00 extra for 3 tiny pieces of shrimp. Not worth adding the shrimp. My friend had the Pad Prik King with Tofu. Where to begin with her meal. The menu said it was cooked in a red chili garlic salt, but all we could taste was some form of fish sauce and the sauce was a bit gritty in texture. The dish was extremely salty, hence, we had to have our drinks refilled constantly. The green beans were soggy and we really could not get over the fish taste and smell which completely overpowered our sense of taste/smell. Overall, the food was probably the most Americanized Thai that both of us have ever had. We always walked by Kacha and finally decided to try it, I don’t regret trying it, but I definitely will not be coming back here.

Kacha Thai Bistro delivers an elegant take on thai cuisine! I was attracted mostly by their $ 5 appetizers during Happy Hour(3−5pm), but left feeling more satisfied than ever before. The calamari was probably the best calamari I have ever tasted. It comes with a delicious plum dipping sauce and the breading around the squid has the most perfect crunch to it. I also ordered the chicken satay — it was juicy, and the peanut sauce added the right amount of flavor. The curry samosas are also a crowd pleaser!(Not on the HH appetizer menu, but it’s only $ 7).For my main course, I ordered the pad thai. It was only $ 9, but they give you so much! It comes with shrimp and tofu. The interior of the restaurant is also very clean and fancier than most thai restaurants I’ve been to. Thank you, Kacha!

I had a lunch«Thai» Tuesday event here with my coworkers as one of my cheat meals of the week. Yes we’re cool. We had our Quarterly Tie Tuesday luncheon to present our coworkers who dress in style on Tuesdays to never forget to well… dress up once in a while in a business casual world. So arriving at 11:40am, the parking lot was already full on the bottom. Yes! They actually have parking for 4 hours for free so consider parking in the Olympia shopping area. There’s an entrance on California or Mt. Diablo… potentially the other side as well. I didn’t know where this place was located, but as I walked out of the parking structure to the street it was directly to my right. How convenient! I entered and I knew exactly what I was going to get into. A fancy Walnut Creek Thai experience with the prices to boot. I was glad to see that the menu had two full pages of lunch priced options of rice plates, noodles, curries, etc. I decided on the Ginger Eggplant because as much as curry was enticing, I was hankering some eggplant. I also opted for the $ 1 extra brown rice to make it healthy like that. so how was it? The Ginger Eggplant was really a Thai Basil Eggplant. They used a nice flavorful sauce probably fused with ginger. They had slices of bell peppers, chicken, and some shrimp. Also a small little side salad was on the plate. I enjoyed my meal, but of course for $ 10 the proportions were definitely not what I’m used to, but yes, I’m sure they’re using quality ingredients. yada yada… but again I’ve had really good Thai for the same price for more. Perhaps the large rectangular dishes doesn’t lead to making it feel like it’s more than what it looks like. Psychology people! Use smaller plates and it makes things look like more than they are! Anyways, they refilled my water which is nice, but I didn’t feel like it was too welcoming as no one greeted me at the entrance and well no one was really smiling until I came out of the restroom on my way out. For Thai in WC with parking for free, it’s not too shabby.
