We previously used Terry Enfield for accounting but found out our files were transferred to Hunter & Company after Terry passed away last year. We gave Hunter & Company a chance by setting up an appointment to speak with Greg. We mentioned that we had a retainer with Terry and needed to know the amount remaining and if it would be honored. When we spoke with Greg, he had not even reviewed our file, much less researched the retainer. He promised to get back to us on several questions. He never did. When we reinitiated contact, he clearly had not done anything to research our questions or attempt to help us. After a third chance with no follow up, we asked for our retainer (the one thing they finally confirmed existed) and files to be returned. It has been over a month, and we still have not received our retainer nor files back. Instead they insisted that they sent it pointing out that they did not believe that they were under any obligation to do so. I asked for the check to be reissued over 2 weeks ago, and they still have not done so, nor responded. I would avoid any CPA firm that treats its customers this way.

I was so lucky to be recommended to Jason for his CPA expertise. I just opened a small business over a year ago and taxes and the IRS are two subjects you grow up fearing. Jason made my first year of taxes incredibly simple and helped me understand what I was signing and why it was needed. Tax season was not stressful for me at all with his assistance. Just a few weeks ago, I realized I accidentally entered some information about an employee in wrong and my payroll company was going to charge me to fix the problem. After a 15 minute visit to Jason’s office, correcting everything with him on my own, he saved me $ 300! Trusted CPA’s are hard to find but Jason has become mine.

Taxes and IRS are two dreaded words. But, Jason at Gregory Hunter CPA firm makes the process less daunting. He takes the time to meet with clients before tax preparation begins, deals with tax benefit questions for business entity formation, investments, etc. We had an issue with the IRS and their nasty grams. Jason handled the rebuttal information quickly and professionally. Makes it easier to deal with in April!
