I dealt with Shonda M., who told me that she is the new manager of this location. I can tell you that my own experience was 100% positive. I needed compression stockings for varicose veins. I was told by Cigna to go to Hanger. When I got there, Shonda told me that compression stockings were not covered — if I submitted a claim from Hanger, I’d end up paying full retail. Instead of simply sending me away, she took me into a treatment room, measured my legs, and explained how these stockings work. She even suggested the best brands and where to buy them for a much better price than Hanger could provide. All this for someone who isn’t even a customer. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could.

About three years ago my doctor referred me to Hangar for custom shoe inserts. At the first visit, impressions were made from my feet to cast the inserts. The left insert did not fit and was painful to wear I went back for an adjustment, but it did not help. I was told they could do nothing more for me. Thr inserts were cast of lightweight foam and could have easily been redone. My insurance was billed for over $ 800. for the inserts that I could not wear. I was over charged for the deductible and coukd not get a refund even after several calls to the billing office. I finally purchased a pair of Super-Feet inserts at a sports shoe store for $ 50. And they feel great.

I am in agreement with the previous writer. My experience here was not a pleasant one, rather one that instilled in me that they knew what they were doing. My «intern» said that he was there because he didn’t get into physical therapy school. He had to have a regular staff person in all three visits I was there… it seemed like it was to tell him what to do rather than to check on his work as an intern. My wait one time was one hour. Another time I called and was put on hold for nearly ten minutes. When I hung up and called back the office was closed! If I need another device I will not be going back here.

I would also give negative stars if I could. I was sent here to get a fitting for my cervical collar for my upcoming surgery. The woman who brought my collars(one hard and one for the shower) into the room basically pulled them out of the bag, put the Velcro together and handed them to me. She mentioned this was her second time and was not helpful at all. I assumed(since I had never done this before) that this was all a fitting entailed(although I was pretty doubtful). She didn’t even explain how they work. I specifically asked about the trachea knob and what it did. She said that it’s just for trachea patients. I am now one week post surgery and this neck brace has been loose, and definitely not supporting me. I have been in tears over this, especially after learning online that the collar actually has SIX settings and the trachea knob actually turns to change the height. She never measured my neck or anything. I just hope my fusion will heal correctly. She has NOBUSINESS doing collar«fittings», and I suggest that if you need to be fitted DONOT go here. I have since learned that you want to look for a Certified Orthotist, which she obviously was not. She was probably a receptionist for that matter. I am angry and scared about my recovery. Now today, one week after surgery, I have to find a place that will actually do a real fitting. I will be contacting their headquarters about this…
