Extreme Pizza – Walnut Creek

Worst customer service and the staff are very rude and disgusting. I ordered a delivery and found a bloody bandaid with hair stuck to it in my calzone. I called the store and the lady was calling me a liar saying nobody was wearing a bandaid and hung up the phone on me. I will never order again or have my wife order online. Enough said.

Extreme Pizza definitely lives up to it’s name. It’s pizzas are EXTREMELY good! To say that the their food could be ameliorated, would be a huge erroneous assumption. The pizzas not only look delicious, they are also palatable and had a fantastic aroma! We had many options to choose from and the pizzas can be customized if you’re vegetarian, vegan, lactose-​intolerant or gluten free!
The manager Alex was very amicable and helpful. The rest of the staff was also very nice. Their service is very transient. This place is definitely our favorite pizza place.

One of my top three pizza places in the East Bay. They have great combinations and I usually get the bbq chicken speciality. It is a little pricey which is why I don’t order it all the time but it is great when I do. Keep it up guys.

Great pizza, awesome staff. They also have a really nice selection of craft brews on tap.

I’m not sure why this place is rated so highly. I’ve ordered here before and it was okay. Not outstanding, but average. I’d probably rank it below Skipolini’s and Pinky’s. With some new places popping up, hopefully, it’ll make them step up their game.

Love these guys. Plus Friday and Saturday they are open til two. So if I get stuck at work and want good pizza, I can go in or order it. I love pretty much everything on the menu, except the buffalo chicken pizza. The Gorgonzola was a little too much for me, and I like Gorgonzola. I love everything else about this place though. The staff is always friendly too.

Pretty decent, I’d give more like 3.5 stars.
Pipe Calzone: Tons of yummy ricotta and mozzarella cheese. I requested light tomato sauce which I like so I can focus on the flavor of the cheese and other add-​ons. The one I received was a little burnt for my taste, but that’s something that varies I’m sure.
Chicken Parm Sub: SO YUMMY. Or at least the few bites I got from my friend. It was better than my calzone, in my opinion. Soft bread toasted, I think fried chicken, Parm, with tomato sauce all married together in perfect yumminess.
Pow Pows: Very simple dessert. Dough twisted with what I assume to be Nutella, with powdered sugar, and what I believe is Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup. It’s good. Just a little heavy for a dessert to pair with pizza.

Needed a late night meal so came here to pick up something. Only downside was we had to wait 20 min for the pizza and since we already were in the area was something we should have planned better. We got the Railroad Grade pizza and the extremely twisted sticks as the free check in perk. The pizza was expensive ($ 20 for a medium) so I was expecting amazing things. It was good but it wasn’t amazing. There were four giant twisted sticks with either ranch or marinara sauce to dip. The ranch was definitely better and the only downside to these was the raw garlic. It took over all the other flavors and was overwhelming; if only they sauteed it for a little bit it would have been perfect.

Extreme pizza is pretty good. I’ve only tried their pizza tho.
They can customize whatever you want. The guys at the counter are pretty friendly. Even when dealing with drunkards at 1am, they still hold it together.
The inside is a decent size for a place that doesn’t have dine in service. They offer plenty of seating.
No outside seating.
Self served drinks.
Delivery is EXTREMELY fast.

Amazing pizza! I had the vegan White Out pizza and it was delicious. The place was extremely clean and staff members were extremely sweet and friendly. Our cashier Alex was awesome and kept us laughing and smiling. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Good vibes and great people.

I ordered online through Eat24 a couple days ago, and was very impressed by the service and quality of food. Pizza was delicious, but most of all, every time I come here, i feel that the people who work there really make the effort to make it a good experience. Highly recommended!!!

Extreme pizza is so delicious! We like to get olive and mushroom! Always a treat when were looking for some great pizza! Super friendly staff and great atmosphere! The prices are pretty great too! Thanks Alex for great service!

Delivery of 4 — 14″ pizzas took over 2 hours. Was told originally it would take 1 hour «because it was a busy Fri night.» I said that was fine. But when pizza was no show after an hour and then after 1.5 hours and I was calling around the 2 hr mark for 5^th time, they said it STILL wasn’t out for delivery but that they would take 50% off of the price of one of the pizzas for the trouble of being so late. When the delivery person arrived about 2.25 hours after the order was placed, there was NO DISCOUNT on the bill as promised. The discount would have only been for $ 10 but what does it say about the management that they completely failed to follow through on this?

Yes its a chain pizza restaurant, but its actually really nice to dine in during lunch. I recall the guy behind the register playing some nice R.E.M tunes almost every time I came in there for lunch. Oh, and the pizza was ok too I guess, but I’m rating this particular location not the chain.

My favorite pizza joint ever!!! Extreme pizza has toppings you can’t find else where. They give you the right ratio of toppings to sauce and even have vegan cheese! The only place I’m willing to get pizza to go.

The location uses Grubhub for delivery. The pizza crust was paper thin and burnt and the pizza was cold upon receipt. We have ordered from Extreme Pizza on numerous occasions and we have been generally satisfied with their pizza and delivery service. Tonight was the exception, but it was such a disappointment that it merited being mentioned.

Got the excellent meal deal of salad, soda, and individual pizza for $ 8. I ordered the Hanoi Fever pizza. It was like a Korean bahn mi sandwich on a pizza. It was soooo spicy but really delicious. I wish this place was near me because the pizza options are extensive, and each one sounds better than the next. Check it out if you want creative, non-​chain pizza

The food is good, the atmosphere can sometimes be lacking — but, they are open late (ish), and hey, it’s pizza.

Terrible delivery. I ordered via Unilocal/​eat24. My confirmation said it would be 45 – 70 minutes. 2 hours later… still no pizza. I have 2 hungry kids ready for bed on a school night and no dinner. I’ve called them 3 times… they say «any minute» then their driver calls and says 15 – 20. Not happy.

I love this place for lazy pizza night after a long day at work when no one wants to cook. Reliable, tasty, and always friendly. It’s not the best pizza in the universe but it might be the best in the area.

A little background info; I worked at round table pizza for 7 years, so I can be picky when it comes to pizza.
Came in around 11:15pm on a Saturday night. It was our first visit here and honestly it was a last resort as we just wanted pizza and our usual places were closed. Well this is now our usual place. There was a Unilocal deal for a free order for twist sticks if you check in so obviously we did that and those were awesome. Similar to those twists at round table pizza. They have a huge selection of pizzas including gluten free and vegetarian. We ordered a large pizza with ricotta, artichokes, spinach, chicken, and garlic (SO glad they have ricotta! Can be surprisingly hard to find at pizza places around here). It was cooked perfectly and the dough was good, it tasted fresh. There was a ton of the toppings we had ordered and the service here is also amazing. Alex helped us out and was really friendly and charismatic and even got into a conversation with my boyfriend about rare Japanese cars. All around 5 star experience!

I had an incident with one of their delivery drivers being rude but after speaking with the owner and manager, I’m definitely willing to give this place another try. Their customer service was excellent and they were sincere in the way they handled me being upset. I have enjoyed their pizza in the past and will give another update after my next experience with them.

Ordered through Eat24. Was told delivery time would be during a certain WIDE time frame (something like 45 – 70 minutes), and not only was the order LATE, but the delivery guy didn’t heed the delivery instructions. So he tried to deliver to the wrong address.
The food I received was not as ordered. I ordered the Pandora’s Box inidividual size, the Pow Pows! and the Extremely Twisted Sticks with marinara sauce. the Pandora’s Box was delicious. The Pow Pows! and Twisted Sticks were gross, and instead of marinara sauce, I got ranch dressing. Double gross. If I had marinara sauce, I *might* have been able to eat the twisted sticks.
I contacted Eat24 about the time my order was 10 minutes (80 minutes! from order) and again when I received the wrong sauce. Eat24 removed the twists from my order and gave me some coupons towards my next order. It’s too bad that this was such a terrible experience because I am not really interested in many of the options.

They are amazing! I have been ordering delivery for three years and they have always kept me updated and brought my pizza when they said they would. Today was a special day though. Today I am very exhausted and do not have the means at home to feed myself. I ordered a cheese pizza which arrived on time. I forgot the ranch. Which to some like me is like forgetting the bread of the pizza. I called thinking I would have to purchase a whole new pizza, but NOPE. Frank Baker has saved the day! He is sending my delivery driver out when he has time to bring me ranch. He offered me a more timely return for the ranch, i declined and said when the delivery driver has time. Its really people helping people. Ranch is small, they didn’t have to take care of me so well. They did anyhow. I recommend to anyone, if you have a problem or would like to request more, give them a call! They are great!
Update: I am just going to update my review forever. So my last delivery guy was Scott. Scott was amazing. Came back to my door after he could see my concern for cheese and peppers to make sure I had everything I needed. Brought extra just to satisfy the customer. Way to go Scott! Hope to see you again!

I have been using Extreme Pizza religiously. They are down street from me.
A friend of mine recommended them to me when I was new to walnut creek 5 years ago.
Here’s what I can tell you. I literally have to tell them in the instructions to deliver the right items, and to cook the twisted sticks.
After too many times, asking for food to be delivered cooked… May 31^st, I was again given uncooked breadsticks, an old, rotting salad… and to top it off… the most RUDE and disrespectful delivery guy shoved my delivery at me. He didn’t deserve the 10.00 tip I gave him. I will never use Extreme Pizza again, and I will dissuade anyone from doing business with them.
In conclusion, Extreme Pizza doesn’t deserve five days of my money, much less five years of my business, hoping they will improve. To say I am disappointed with the food, and more so, the service, would be an understatement.
The employee that was rude, needs to be fired. The food, was rotting (salad) raw (bread sticks) pizza, MEH.
Avoid, take your money and tastebuds elsewhere.

Great pizza, wings, and beer! I’m impressed by the selection of craft beer. The wings were just the right amount of spicy. And the selections of pizza were pretty awesome. Tv’s everywhere. And good programming too.

The owner is very helpful & willing to hear his customers & make the best pizza possible. If there are problems he is very quick to respond & I appreciate his eagerness to strive to have a customer friendly business.

My first time tasting extreme pizza period and this is coming from a person who isn’t too crazy about American style pizza.
I am currently scarfing down ‘Aveiro’ pizza under Carnivore Pizzas (personal size — def big enough for ladies with appetites). This pizza will go perfectly with some bomb beers over football games… that’s just me but I’m pretty confident good number of fellas will agree with me.

Came here after watching a Sunday afternoon football game. Yes, you read that right! I watched a football game. I can’t tell you much about the game, but I can tell you that wine makes football awesome =) Heck let’s face it, wine makes everything awesome!
Okay enough digressing, back to the review…
Extreme pizza was clean, the service was speedy and the the pizza was delicious. We ordered a 12 inch veggie pizza and ate it in house. Our pizza came out piping hot within 15 minutes of ordering and it definitely curbed my pizza craving!
