E Recycle On Us

I recently dropped off an old Canon 4-​in-​1 printer here. (I hate to say ‘old’, under 6 years, $ 400 when I bought it and I hated disposing of such a fine piece of equipment because Canon didn’t bother to update the print driver for Apple/​Yosemite (though I’m sure there are complex workarounds) and I guess the print head was kaput and it was technically outdated… I digress, but I’m sure there are others like me who hate putting such stuff into the environment.)
This is off Boulevard Way (on right side if you’re coming from Mt. Diablo Blvd, in back corner of a big parking lot that includes Frank’s Auto Repair and other businesses). Pulled in, rang bell, the guy there was very friendly and helpful and because it was a ‘larger’ size I needed to pay maybe $ 5, a negligible amount for taking something off my hands I don’t otherwise know what to do with.
I’m sure they have contract with state or municipality that ensures as much as possible there gets recycled, finds some use, so sayonara old printer.
Nice to know this place is here for future and thank you other Unilocalers for helping me find it.

I’ve been using this place to drop off boxes or other items that they are allowed to be recycled there. Excellent very easy and convenient. Thumbs up!!!

My Dad had an old plasma TV that was HEAVY. I looked them up on google. The place was easy to find, and the drop off was simple. In and out in less than 5 min.

I came. I dropped. I e-​cycled.
I wandered up all starry-​eyed and confused. I had volunteered my services to a coworker as I was on my way out the door to grab our office’s Friday special: Morucci’s sandwiches. My darling coworker had to «e-​cycle» her old coffeemaker and was complaining about having to drag the ol’ hunk to the parking lot just across the street from Morucci’s.
«I’ll take it,» I said, thinking I was being kind and gracious and whatnot.
«No, no, you don’t have to,» she said, thinking she was being kind and gracious and whatnot.
«No, really,» I said.
«Are you sure?» she asked, still trying to do the right thing.
«Just give it to me,» I replied, totally exasperated at this point. I’m from the hood. I only have probably one polite and courteous exchange memorized; after that, I get confused. I couldn’t do this for too much longer.
«Okay.»
As I approached the facility, I began to regret my decision. For such a seemingly small operation, the parking lot was huge. I realized there were other businesses here, too and felt a small bit of relief followed by a wave of nausea as I tried to figure out which business I was supposed to drop this off at. In the farthest, right-​hand, back corner was an E-​Cycle sign that beckoned. I made my way over and stood puzzled in a bare entryway for a few moments before a very tall man with a very wide smile exited through the entrance I was staring at and motioned his head at a pallet to my right. «Just drop it there,» he said.
And with that, it was over. I was on to finer things. Like a number 6 with pesto on ciabatta from Morucci’s.
