Ordered a sandwich and the bread was staled, the meat wasnt fresh, or near its freezer date. The lady knew this after the fact she sold me the sandwich. I will not come back here again. If you do get one here, be sure to ask about the freshness of their products they use.

A SPECIALTY SANDWICH AT A REASONABLE PRICE
Sandwich places are popping up all over. Walnut Creek now has Marucci’s, Genova, Ike’s and Mr. Pickle’s as the big names. But there are little, local shops that make great sandwiches too and I like supporting these businesses.
I like veggie sandwiches. I like all the veggies that I can get. I like lots of hot sauce and mustard on the bread. I DO NOT LIKE paying $ 10 for bread and veggies!
Café Duzni has $ 5 sandwiches, and salads for $ 6.50. That’s more like it! The woman will prepare you a nice garden sandwich (on toasted sourdough for me, rather than the dutch crunch it comes with). It’s not overwhelming in size and I can finish the whole thing. They are tasty and fresh and very enjoyable.
Sometimes I want a giant sandwich for lunch that will render me leftovers to pick at through the afternoon. That’s not what you’ll get from Café Duzni. What you will get is the satisfaction of supporting a small café and it’s owners.

I really really like this place. It’s small, and the food prep area is cramped for the 2 girls working this little deli/​coffee haus. But big flavors come from this little place.
It’s pretty much take out only because there are only 2 chairs in the place.
The servings are ample without going overboard. Perfect for lunch.
I had the taco special. It had 3 tacos, rice and side salad for $ 5. You can choose chicken or pork. They put cilantro, sour cream, and a medium sauce on them, and they very very satisfying. The green leaf salad had a little onion, radish, and red cabbage, topped with the yummiest lime vinegarette I’ve ever tasted. It gave the salad a very fresh taste. I think I could drink the stuff. I put some on my tacos, too. Great stuff.
They have a nice assortment of cold sandwiches, salads, panini style sandwiches, soups, garlic bread, and a whole bunch of cookies and other goodies.
The serve Starbucks coffee. Iced or brewed. Ans some nice teas as well.

Awesome little place! Terrific lunch specials at very reasonable prices, great coffee (and the cookies and muffins are awesome!), and super nice people running it. It’s really a take-​out place, although there are a couple of stools and a tiny little bar inside, so if you’re lucky you can squeeze in there to have your lunch. I stumbled onto this place accidentally, it’s so small it’s easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled and look right across the street from the Walnut Creek DMV in the little dark glass cube.

This place appears to be a family run business that is out front of the Atrium office building, just a block or two south of the Walnut Creek courthouse across Ygnacio Valley Road.
What I love most? A lot of their sandwiches are $ 5 or under.
Their sandwiches taste good, unlike the factories I will call Rubway or Quitnos
They make your sandwich fast
They are always pleasant
So next time you are snouting around the courthouse or just want a quick bite to and from the HIghway ²⁴⁄₆₈₀ corridor, check this place out.
