The Bronco Baseball Academy (BBA) was established in 2001 by Jon Campopiano and Ben Campopiano, baseball coaches at Northgate High School (Walnut Creek, CA), and has expanded each year to reach thousands of youth baseball and softball players in the San Francisco Bay Area over the last decade.

Bronco Baseball Academy is dedicated to providing comprehensive instruction to ballplayers of all skill and age levels. BBA combines a steady training of fundamentals and skill drills with fun, competitive games and events that strengthen every player’s ability to succeed between the lines.

Besides expert evaluation and training, players attending Bronco Baseball Academy camps and clinics can expect to have fun, improve their skills, and learn how to compete at the highest levels.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Ben Campopiano is in his fourth year as the Director of Baseball Operations at Santa Clara University and fifth year as a Social Studies Teacher at Northgate High School. At Santa Clara, Campopiano is responsible for coordinating youth camps, handling team travel, organizing program events, and fundraising for the Division I baseball program. He also runs the team blog and social media sites, directs the team’s marketing program, and is in charge of other general operations. Prior to joining the baseball staff at SCU, Campopiano was the head baseball coach at Northgate High School from 2010 – 2011. He served as an assistant baseball coach at Northgate for five years, coaching infielders and hitters from 1999 – 2002 and from 2008 – 2009. Campopiano attended Saint Mary’s College where he earned a BA in Communications in 2003. He currently lives in Walnut Creek with his wife, Lauren.
